Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Gin was bored. Not that this was unusual, but this time it presented a problem: he couldn't distract himself from his hunger. As such, he needed something... Entertaining. Walking around town, he came across the arcade. This should do... He prepared himself to play some of the games when he felt the raw enjoyment roll off of those already playing.
Gin breathed in deeply. His hunger reached unbearable strength, and so he started to indulge himself. Now, this wasn't what I had in mind. But I do so enjoy this version of entertainment. It's entirely... Delectable. With a smile, he started to gorge himself.

Emotions were appealing to him. He was hungry.
That was all that Gin could focus on. It was irritating. He was in desperate straights, though. Nothing bugged him more than hunger, so he left and want to the park. It would have some good food for him.
He arrived, and sifted through the emotions of all those who were there. It seemed to him that the ones who were having the most enjoyment were the small children. While he wasn't surprised, Gin still considered not feeding off of them. Then the hunger took over and he fed off of all those there.

The hunger was eating away at him. Gin had not really seen the appeal of that pun until now. It seemed to make more than perfect sense now. He needed to feed. But on what? He was one for variety, and he had already been at the two most obvious places.
He wanted someplace different, but where?
He decided to just wander town, following the the emotions until he found a place of strong entertainment value. He did as such until he came to a slightly unexpected place: a library. With a shrug, Gin just fed off of the misplaced emotions.

Already feeling hungry again, Gin went for a walk. He needed to feed again, and he had no issues with revisiting old areas anymore. He wondered to the arcade for the second time for feeding reasons.
He watched as the children ran around, going from game to game. With a slight smile, Gin felt around their emotions. What he found was beautiful: pure, unadulterated enjoyment. He walked in, feeding as he passed every child. By the time he would finished, he shouldn't have to feed for a long time. He hoped it was true, but he doubted it. Hunger sucks.

Hungry again, Gin thought as he walked on his way to the park. He needed to feed yet again. He was starting to notice a trend of when he was needing to feed. Still, that didn't matter as much. Gorging himself on the enjoyment of others, though? That would always be important.
He entered the park and immediately started to feel around for who would be the best to have. He thrived on this moment, he realized. He had started to live for feeding. He considered trying to stop but laughed in spite of himself. He wouldn't be able to, he knew. That in mind, he feasted.

Gin was starting to feel hunger pains again. They hit him fast, they hit him hard, and they hit him out of the blue. He needed to feed. He needed to feed bad. He quickly dashed to the park.
With his hunger killing him, the shadow needed to be less picky about his food. He reached out into all of the emotions of the surrounding area. He then quickly started to drain them of everything they felt. What filled the void was nothingness, just further void. Gin didn't care though. He was in desperate straights, and the humans would recover in time. When he finished, he felt better. He walked away, leaving behind his victims.

When he felt hungry this time, Gin was prepared. He had already been at the park, ready to start to feed. He gave a quick look over his food, and decided to go over towards the teens in the area. They were playing on their phones, not paying attention to the world anyway.
When the shadow walked over, the few who looked up stared at him questionably before recognition washed over them. Gin smiled, giving them a little wave as they went back to the little games. It didn't matter whether they knew him or not; they were simply food right now.

The tiger had been out among the other shadows when the hunger struck him. He nearly collapsed. He had been able to distract himself for a while, so as to see how determined to his cause he was.
Gin shook himself off and dashed into the city. He ran to the arcade and took sudden note of the amount of people and how much fun they were having. He sat down and started to feed, watching as the children seemed to lose focus for the games and shuffle off. However, by the time that the arcade was empty the shadow had been fully fed.
