Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Like a cat, Haru crawled amongst the support beams holding the roof of the factory up. A ninja's primary skill was stealth, and it was one that she was fairly adept in despite her bright hair and red outfit. Her eyes scanned the main floor below her, searching for any sign of movement. She was getting stronger- but still not nearly strong enough to accomplish her primary goal. If she were going to investigate any further, she needed more power. To that end, she mapped out places that the monsters seemed to appear with regularity and resolved to spend more time near these areas. Still, she'd been here for a full twenty minutes and nothing had happened yet. Were there really no monsters around?

Vroom Vroooooooom
The girl's ears perked up as she heard an engine revving up in the distance. But... that couldn't be right, right? The factory was desolate and run down, there's no way anything should still be in good enough condition to be functional. It wasn't until the two vehicles came into sight and started drag racing around the perimeter of the main floor that she realized they weren't cars at all, but two Shadows disguised as them. Haru drew her sword and steadied it in front of herself, timing the drop just right... "NOW! AGI!" She leaped down from the ceiling with the blade angled between her legs as the white wolf Shiranui materialized beside her in mid-air. Both of them landed on their respective targets, Haru ramming the sword through the body of the Shadow and into the ground to serve as a makeshift brake while Shiranui spat a fireball into the engine block of the second Hot Wheel.
The one that Haru had attacked immediately squealed and shot forward without regard for the sword skewering it's abdomen, tearing itself in half from the effort at the cost of dulling the blade. The two halves of the Shadow crashed into a nearby stack of tires, causing them to topple over and bury it in an impromptu tomb of rubber. With her side taken care of, Haru turned her attention to Shiranui... only to see that the attack had been completely ineffective. The Hot Wheel carrying the fox suddenly swerved to the side, causing the wolf to fly off of it and slam into one of the cement pillars scattered around the area. The girl cursed underneath her breath and yanked her sword out of the ground, raising it in front of her in a defensive stance. Fire didn't seem to work on these things, but blades sure as heck did. The Hot Wheel revved it's engine again before boosting forward at a breakneck speed. Viper Strike. The girl just barely moved out of the way while swinging her sword down, slicing it's front left tire open and causing a blowout moments later which sent the vehicle into a tailspin. It slammed into the wall that it had been spinning towards, but it seemed as though that wasn't enough to put it down for good.
Even with a damaged tire, the Hot Wheel slammed on the accelerator and aimed directly at the girl. Haru readied herself to preform the same maneuver as before to destroy the other tire, but the Shadow had already adapted to that particular strategy. It spewed a fireball from the front of the car, only just barely giving the girl enough time to raise her arm to keep the fire from reaching her face. Still, the attack was enough that she couldn't evade the followup and was hit dead on by the car's charge, sending her flying over the hood and hit the ground hard. But it wasn't done just yet. The Hot Wheel whipped around in a tight u-turn and charged at her for a third time... but when it got near, Shiranui suddenly leaped from the sidelines and clamped onto the Shadow's spoiler with his teeth, using his weight to force the car to turn to the side. But the combination of it's speed and damaged tire left it unable to cope with the sudden change in direction, sending the Hot Wheel into a spin and then a flip, pieces of the monster flying off as it slammed into the ground over and over until finally coming to a stop, resting upside down with fire blazing from it's undercarriage. Haru slowly pulled herself to her feet and looked around for Shiranui to thank him, but he had already vanished. The girl sighed and started to limp away from the scene, annoyed that she was so caught off guard by that second Hot Wheel.
