Name: Nanasawa Minako
Age: 17
Date of Birth: June 9th
Birthplace: Mosaic City
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Mio Akiyama
Appearance: Mina is a strong, tall, athletic girl. She usually is about four to six inches most girls, which makes her easy to spot in a group. She’s rather grateful for her height since it makes it easier to move about quickly. Long strides and reach are quite helpful in tennis. She’s trains hard each and every day so she has a lean yet muscular tone. She has long hair, but so it doesn’t get in the way she usually ties it back in a ponytail when playing tennis and leaves it down when doing anything else. It serves it purpose even though it’s not really a girly look. Minako’s not really someone who spends effort on her appearance, unfortunately. She tends to wears something like chap stick instead of lipstick to avoid windburn. She doesn’t care to look pretty or attempt to keep up with fashion and the latest trends. She sees all those things as impractical and unnecessary. Minako is more of a practical dresser than anything. She tends to wear a lot of pants and t-shirts. Skirts and dress aren't foreign to her, but they're far from her favorite. She not someone who cares about the look for clothes but more or less practicality. She could wear mismatched socks and odd colored clothes as long as they’re comfortable. Most of her clothes if full with plain colored clothes. Luckily, she’s not in school so she’s only prone to wear skirts when actually playing tennis instead of her sweat pants. Proper tennis wear is important for someone like her.
Height: 5'6
Distinguishing Features: Minako has several bruises and scars on her legs and arms from various accidents related to tennis.
Class: Civilian
Arcana: Chariot
Occupation: Student
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): Tennis Racket (strike)
Personality: Mina has a very assertive personality which has a tendency to offend people. She’s a serious girl who believes giving it her all. Unlike most girls, when she gives it her all she really gives it her all. It becomes a borderline obsession. Her attitude towards tennis is a great example. She eats, sleeps, and breathes tennis. She has books to study up on proper forms and techniques. She watches training videos as well as professional tournaments. She even makes sure her tennis racket is near when she sleeps. When given free time, she trains her body so she can be in top physical shape for the sport.
She’s tough, but not thick skinned. Mina thinks she can keep up with anyone and strives to be an overachiever, and she even take the harsh criticism ins tride, but she does feel things. She might not show it but she’s an emotional person regardless of her her brash attitude and harsh words. She’s actually prone to crying, not that she wants others to see it. Crying is showing weakness and she’s not someone who’s okay with being weak. When her heart feels heavy and tears build in her eyes, she refuses to break down and cry in front of others. She lets her determination shine at such times and work towards becoming better.
She can be considered a friendly person, though she’s not really someone who makes friends often. Most people don’t know how to take her. She smiles and greets people in the proper way, but that’s about it. She’s willing to lead an open ear to people, but she’s not insightful or someone who gives good advice. Her brash nature usually makes her answers seem like she’s a heartless person. Minako is not a coldhearted woman but she doesn’t see the point in dwelling in losing situations.
She’s an ambitious girl but it isn’t necessary a good quality. While it is good to give something your all, she gets quickly offended when others do not do the same. Mina doesn’t believe in half-hearted attempts. She's found herself giving speeches to the other girls about tennis, which only turned those girls off even more. She can’t see why others don’t take the same wholehearted attempts at things like she does. It doesn’t seem fair or logical to do something with only fifty percent effort. If it’s not worth your all, then it’s obviously not worth doing.
She has a dry sense of humor, though most times it’s seen as her being mean and teasing people or just being sarcastic. Her jokes aren’t funny even though she thought they were pretty good attempts. She’s not a tactful person. Off-limited subjects don’t really compute in her head. Of course, she does avoid certain subjects due to her lack of knowledge. Love and romance tend to be on those subjects to avoid. She doesn’t understand them, and she rather no look like a full.
Mina has a long list of shortcomings. Her ambitious nature usually leads her self-destructive tendencies. She practices past the point of exhaustion with tennis, which has lead to her collapsing a couple of times. She’s someone to always try to push her body harder. Sometimes she doesn’t even understand her own limits. Bruises, cuts, scraps, and scars mean absolutely nothing to her. She’s not one to even care about looks. And while she thinks she does her best at taking care of her body by eating right and getting checkups regularly, she’s the type of person to forget about her fragility as a human girl and keep going even if it means death. She’s bull-headed in a sense.
She has a hard time relating to people, especially girls her own age. Their obsession with boys, love, and romance are frivolous things. She can’t understand the point of any of that stuff. She even gets rather annoyed when boys start showing interest in her since she thinks it’s just them teasing her with compliments. Unless it’s compliments about athleticism or her tennis form, they’re more than likely not true.
Her brash nature is also a problem. She doesn’t hold her tongue well, and she doesn’t know when she’s being a tactless person. For the most part, she thinks she’s being helpful by pointing out weakness or flaws. Instead, most just see her as rude.

History: Minako grew up in the impressive coastal city known as Mosaic City. Her mother, Rin, was a ballerina while her husband, Kanji, worked as a businessman. Both their jobs were demanding, leaving young Mina home often. Unfortunately, the young girl wasn't very good at making friends since she couldn't ever seem to relate. Manners were very important in her household but so was determination and truthfulness. Such traits didn't translate well with other children. The only person to seem to make friends was Mina was her neighbor. She considered him to be her best friend since he was the only person that understood her rather serious personality. Making friend seemed to always be tough for her. It took quite some time, but eventually a girl named Yuki made friends with her and tried helping her understand others. It was a tough and turbulent path, but even if she wasn’t able to understand others she could always understand Yuko.
By middle school, her mother had tried to pressure her into dancing since Mina hadn't found a real interest. Dancing wasn't something she enjoyed, so instead Mina had joined the tennis club. It quickly became an obsession to become better since both her parents pushed her to be the best she could be. She brought books and magazines and read them several times over as she tried to get better at the sport. Tennis was something she enjoyed doing, so she wanted not only to do her best but become the best. She found herself training all the time. Her hard work did pay off. Others recognized she was a great athlete, especially in competitions. She did amazingly in singles competitions. Team competitions were a different story.
By high school, she had been appointed leader by her peers, which was a great honor. She didn’t want to let them down and took the position seriously. She forced the team into practicing hard, scolding those who obviously weren’t giving it their all. The other girls complained and even said hurtful things like that wished they had never voted her as leader. Some even decided she wasn’t worth dealing with and quit. It was frustrating and she wanted to scream, but Mina never lost face. She never let them affect her strides to become to best. Even if she had to practice alone, she took the club serious and used her time wisely. Eventually Yuko tried to help by stepping in and talking to the other girls on them team on her behalf but it didn't work. Mina was unable to relate to the others. It got to an unfortunate point of the club advisor having to step in. She forced the teen girl to step down. Being leader was only good if there were people to lead, so Mina accepted her fate.
Her life continued as normal even after the military appeared to claim the city was being quarantined because of the radiation leak. The girl never questioned it or the odd things happening in the city because everything seemed fairly normal except it was impossible to go to tournaments outside of the city. It was unfortunate, but it was simply something beyond her control.
