Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
The only thing more trippy than standing on a floating castle that housed some of the most powerful presences that Vice had ever felt in his entire time as a User would be the stair case that had led to said cathedral of shadows. Honestly, a transparent stair case that twirled in weird shapes and whatever was just bloody freaky. The moment one stopped paying attention would be the moment one probably fell off the goddamn thing and that, ladies and gents, isn't exactly the best way to go.
Issues with long distance drops aside, and his slight fascination with the floating castle (christ it was a FLOATING CASTLE), Vice turned his attention back to the halls that just screamed shadow all around. There was a presence of power that rivalled not one, or two, but a group of users of his level. Wasn't that just dandy? Still, it wasn't a reason to not explore the place, personal feelings aside, and thus the biker continued down the hall ways and did his thing.
There was probably some kind of sign up there that was telling him something. He'd been facing off against these types of shadows a lot lately, these magician type, not to be confused with the arcana, monsters that had a penchant for sending heavy fire attacks at him. That said though, he didn't exactly have any of those attacks that could be considered strong against their elemental advantage which meant he was going to go rely on the good old double swords that Arondight had.
The first attack was fired by him, the Fallen King cleaving through both of the shadows with a well timed Navas Nebula. One screeched in agony, the other falling to its knees due to some type of exhaustion. Wasn't that just lucky of him? With a more vicious smile now plastered on his face, the young man once more commanded the same attack. This time the screech had been subdued half way through by the sound of the shadow imploding in itself. That was a new death visual. Finally getting his ass moving, the War Hardened Magus summoned a rain of death upon Vice. Said biker crossed his arms over his head to protect himself but majority of the spikes had deeply punctured his limbs in general. A ball of light narrowly missed his head as the young man ducked. The needles still present on his body made it difficult but rather than having to deal with a face full of light, it was the better choice.
A blast of darkness erupted from his side and the remaining Magus took it directly. Another blast was thrown its way and like a special beam cannon punctured a huge hole right in the middle before causing the Magus to implode in itself as well. Not much of a fight, except for the weakness with the pierce attacks, but being alone and having no one to cover his weakness, Vice couldn't count on himself to last that much longer on his own up here.
There was always something about looking straight down into what should be a drop. It wasn't quite clear but Vice could still make out the dirt, debris, and the ground itself from beneath this magical staircase towards the floating cathedral. Again, it was scary as all bloody nightmare. He wasn't really afraid of heights, far from it, but the thoughts swirling through his head weren't exactly the healthiest choices a man his age should have.
Tearing his eyes away from the floor and back towards the entrance slash exit of the place, the young man made a mental note to bring more supplies with him next time and to create a more detailed map for future endeavours. It looked to be one hell of a place which meant there'd be one hell of an area to map. Not to mention that it was a cathedral of shadows, it was only right that Vice proceed with the utmost caution. With that note in his head, the biker then proceeded to hurry back down the stairs to prepare for his next foray into the outside.
