Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

What in the hell was with this place? The shadowlands were bad enough, but the old hospital Jaelyn had stumbled on while exploring new places out there was beyond creepy. It was like something out of a horror movie, except that most horror movies weren't actually this good at making something so utterly fucked up that just looking at it could unsettle a person. And yet, here she was, going inside. The place was very clearly full of shadows, and yet most of them scurried away the moment she approached them. That was...strange. Giant, creepy hospital and yet the monsters inside were scared of her. Oh well. Nothing to do but keep going up until something interesting happened.
...Well, that could take awhile. Jaelyn could tell from the outside that the place was far bigger than a hospital had any right to be.

Jaelyn had finally gotten up past the thirteenth floor, and was starting to appeciate the creepy atmosphere of the hospital when a shadow finally decided to approach her. And...what in the...a machine with gigantic syringes for arms? Seriously?! And it seemed very intent on using those needles too, as it made a pass before shooting them forward toward her and the back in like some kind of pile driver. Jaelyn managed to avoid it, boosting her own speed just in time to make use of it and dodge the attack, but...wow, really?
She counted by dropping a great big fireball on it, as she was prone to doing. Fire seemed to work just fine against it, so there wasn't much need to worry about anything else. The machine again tried to stab Jaelyn, but by some miracle she dodged again and dropped another fireball on it. Then it switched tactics, creating some kind of shimmering barrier around itself, which immediately bounced back the next fire attack Jaelyn sent its way.
...Well, shit.
Fortunately, the barrier itself broke along with it, and the fire did all of nothing to Jaelyn, but she'd just effectively wasted an attack. The machine hit Jaelyn with a blast of darkness, which ate away a little bit at her vitality, but wasn't particularly threatening. And that left it wide open for a third fire attack, finishing the machine off.

One less creepy needle machine in the hospital, at least. Jaelyn approached the still dissolving wreckage, hoping to take back one of the needles to sell off. Maybe that would finally get a reaction out of the crazy lady other than smugness and grim amusement. But no, the needles dissolved too along with the rest of it.
"You never let me have any fun," Jaelyn muttered, fully aware of how untrue the statement is. Whatever. She was feeling fine, still, so it was time to continue up as far as she could go in this inordinately tall hospital. Maybe once she reached the top she'd be able to figure out why it was so big.
