Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Tristan watched as Kyle, the first to engage, took out a Scale and a Gigas. Then he saw Aile, joining the fray moments after, hitting both remaining Scales with lightning. they didn't dissipate, which meant more fun time for Tristan. He started to grin, but was cut short by ice digging into him. He grit his teeth in agony, then watched as one of the Scales healed the remaining shadows.
Breaking free of the ice and in extreme agony, Tristan started to yell. "You think that's gonna help, you little freak? Let's just see about that! Ifreet!" The boy reasoned that if the shadow used ice, it was weak to fire. He tested his theory, dissipating the first scale. He turned and did the same to the last Scale. He then felt a blow land on him, hitting hard and hitting fast.
Falling to one knee, Tristan looked up to see the Gigas prepare to hit him again. Summoning Ifreet once more, Tristan attacked with fire. The Gigas was caught off guard, which provided an opportunity to attack again, finishing off the shadow. Then Tristan healed himself, having been injured in the attack.
A short applause came from the man at the back when the fighting had finally finished. The scores were hidden beneath a couple more of ideas that were running through in his head, positioning, tactics, and contingencies for when something were to break the formation. All of them catering to what he had been able to observe for the time being. As the last shadow finally dissipate completely, the red eyed biker began to feel, on the edge of his perception, some kind of presence that was just asking for a beating. Shaking his head, and putting down a timer on his head, Vice decided to give the others a bit more time to get their breath back before the next wave.
"Take 2 minutes to catch your breath, get some water to quench the thirst, or something."
Vice half ordered, half suggested to the team as he moved forward and past their formation. The presence was getting closer, and it was a sizeable one. Tristan could probably take it on his own but with quite some difficulty with how things were right now, which meant that Aile and Kyle would need to work better and the Fire Specialist to learn how to support better. That, however, was just a rough estimate.
"The next one's pretty strong." Vice announced before flaring his own pressure over the area. Not enough that it would deter the monster from going to the place but just the right amount to make the thing a bit more cautious and slow it down to at least give the others some time to recuperate if they wanted to fight it.

With the Shadows dead, Kyle wiped his brow on the back of his hand, letting the head of his axe rest on the ground and keeping his grip on the handle. He then reached into his bag, rummaged around one-handed and took out a bottle of water. He took a greedy gulp and held it out to Aile, then found the muffins in his bag, tossed one to each partner and ate one in two ridiculous bites himself. Oh yeah, Phoebe's blueberry-chocolate-chip muffins always hit the spot. Good thing he'd swiped these from the bookstore break room that very evening.
Sitri just padded around him as he did, grunting softly, before lying down next to him lazily with his jaw hanging slack, displaying his fangs. He even yawned.
"I say we give it a go," he said, after swallowing his last obscenely big mouthful. "We won't know if can do it unless we give it a shot. If you think we're looking like we'll get killed, you can step in. Or we can retreat. I'm still good to go," he added and shrugged.
He paused for a sec, rubbed his chin with the back of his hand and stared at Tristan. "Tristan, I don't mean to be telling you your business but... don't you think you should do a little bit more on the support angle? I'm in the lead and I have no problems breaking through small fry but if we're gonna take on a big porker now, I don't think my torpedoing will do it. We should probably surround the bastard and hit him from multiple angles."
With that, he flexed his shoulders a bit and raised his axe again. "Well...I'm ready as I'll ever be."

Aile nodded at the offering of water, and took a few gulps. There was still a decent amount left, so Aile tossed it back to Kyle once he finished. The next gift of the muffin was greatly appreciated, but despite its tempting, he only took a few small bites of it. It wasn't bad, but the novice thought it unwise to eat right before encountering something that could be the fit of his life.
As Aile did this, Volt wondered around aimlessly, constantly sitting down or getting up, giving off Aile's anxious aura for him.
The novice then said in agreance with Kyle," I don't know how well I'll really fare in the fight, probably won't really be much of help, but I'd still at least like to try, after all, the best road to improving is extreme danger." Aile felt like this saying was slightly off, or possibly meant to be used in a differing scenario, but oh well. He then walked over to Volt and sat down, collecting his breath as the supposedly big shadow was coming. Aile thought it was supposed because he thought that Vice might be trying to psyche him out, to get him to leave or something akin to that, but he didn't know, it was just a stray thought.
Pausing, he looked at Tristan. He seemed like a good person..of sorts...outside of the battlefield, but on the battle field, Aile didn't really care for him that much.
So anxiously the youth waited as the boss would slowly arrive.

Tristan caught the muffin that was tossed to him, and he gave a nod of appreciation to Kyle. He then listened to how the other two responded to Vice while paying close attention to their body language. Aile was a nervous wreck, it appeared, while Kyle was... Extremely calm about it. Two sides to a coin, as it were.
The youngest of the three combatants, if the most experienced, regarded Kyle's advice. "I would play support, but I have no idea how. My fighting style is akin to yours, so I'm doing my best to wrap things up before they get out of hand." Having said this, he turned to Vice. Now even the young boy could feel the energy of the approaching enemy. Vice hadn't been kidding when he said it was strong. "Vice, I agree with Kyle. If things take a turn for the worst, you could always step in. I have no issues with handing over a battle that's gonna kill me or others, even if it does entail you saving my life. Again."
"Quick Tip: The term 'Support' isn't limited to buffing, healing, and rebuffing. Making the enemy hesitate, double think its actions, or countering an attack with your own to mitigate the damage, these are all forms of support. Try to make use of what you've got."
Vice offered, nodding his head as he listened to all of them give out their answer. All of them also gave the same one, which all just boiled down to wanting to fight the enemy and have him save their asses if it came down to it. Normally, the red eyed User wouldn't concede with the second point, their choices were their consequences and anything from there on should have been prepared for. Anything less would usually breed dependence, complacency, and incompetence.
That said, the young man then shrugged and walked past the trio again and back to the very edge of the estimated battle area. Maybe a few energy bars wouldn't hurt. And maybe get a Mind Charge at the ready. Just in case the freak did get a lucky shot in. All this talk about responsibility, heh, wasn't this Vice's choice to begin with?
THE BOSS HAS ARRIVED!!
Prepare For Battle!
A might four legged beast, crossed with the upper torso of a man, came charging forth from the horizon. Carrying with him a giant war hammer and hooves of steel. Standing at an imposing height of 7 feet, it entered the fight without preamble!

At the beginning of the fight, the Centurion used Burning Pride! It seems to have become stronger, while channeling its energy for a massive attack for its next move!
Notes: Imagine the enemy to be, at the most, at the level of a Stratum 2 Red. Have fun.

Kyle flexed his shoulders again and gripped his axe with both hands. He understood how embarrassing and demanding it was of them to expect Vice to save their asses if something went south but sadly it was a necessity right now. They were committed to the fight.
The bigass centaur-like Shadow lumbered forward towards them, cutting a pretty imposing figure. They'd have to figure out everything from the ground up. Kyle breathed out and Sitri stood beside him, looking a little more alert than before. His tail swished in annoyance.
"Alright, buffing himself up..." Kyle muttered. "Let's see how tough his skin is," he added and willed Sitri to attack.
The leopard snarled angrily and lunged forward, lifting his paw, claws extended and swiped at the Centurion, a surge of energy leaving the Persona to hit the Shadow, followed by the noise of a dropped blade, like a guillotine.

Aile waited and eventually the 'hard" shadow was upon them. It was rather large and reminded him of a centaur, despite the shadowy look to it. It seemed to start off the fight with a buff of sorts, according to Kyle and Aile would gladly follow with the assumptions.
The one thing that Aile knew was entirely definite was that he wasn't going to be getting near the thing if at all possible, due to how it was big, and it just didn't look weak as compared to the other shadows, though Aile couldn't really say much about those shadows as they almost took him out if not for his allies.
So sticking to long range, Aile backed up a few steps, and started his support type attack, as he wasn't sure how useful he'd be in this fight since he was a lot weaker than both Kyle and Tristan.
He stopped for a few moments, as a strong chilled wave passed over him. It wasn't an attack, just an insanely strong, internal feeling. Once he got into position, the Greek had ordered for Volt to fire off a few Zio spells, which he did happily, giggling insistently as he did so. It was going to be hard for Aile to keep in his inner emotions with Volt around, showing off his internal self.
One of the shots fired had hit, but the other missed. Though because of Aile's lacking in combat experience, he couldn't really tell how effective the lightning was.

Tristan watched as the other two Users attacked. He took note of how Kyle used a slash attack, whereas Aile used a Zio spell. Tristan payed more special attention to the slash attack since he could use it, but he needed to see how the centurion shadow responded to other elements.
Feeling as if the shadow would be able to withstand certain attacks, Tristan needed to know how it reacted to fire. Taking Vice's hint to mind, the boy ran to the other side of the creature. He summoned Ifreet before casting Agilao. He really rather hoped that the thing wasn't weak to fire. Then the battle would be over far too fast.
And so the attacks have began to fly. The Centurion, having taken a blow directly to the chest, shook itself to try and shrug the pain away. Slash damage seems to do normal damage against it. The lightning attack that soon followed after it was annoying, doing normal damage against it, but could be easily dealt with. When the ball of fire that had then been hurled at it, well, The Centaur simply laughed as it washed over its broad chest leaving no marks whatsoever. It looks like Fire was nulled.
A stomp of its hooves and the Centurion raised its war hammer and charged through the formation and towards Tristan, unleashing a mighty Cell Breaker!

Kyle spat a small curse when the Shadow countered and went for Tristan while Sitri snarled, wrinkling his snout and baring his teeth.
"Dammit-- Tristan, fire's out, try something else. Heck, everyone try something," Kyle growled and watched the centaur, then frowned. "Yo Aile, don't suppose you got any ice attacks? Might work on the porker since he likes fire so much."
Kyle wasn't too confident about his ability to deal dark damage yet so he decided to stick to slashing attacks and willed Sitri to do so. The leopard snarled and swishing his tail irritably, crouched, gathering up like a coiled spring and... after wriggling his butt a little he pounced right at the Shadow, snarling and swinging his paw with a loud metallic noise like a falling blade. When it took Aile too long to act, Tristan stepped up to attack. Fire was no good, so he needed to find something else. He prepared a spell but was hit by the centaur. It was a simple strike attack, so it didn't hurt much; however, it had been charged up and Tristan suddenly felt really tired. He yawned, but summoned Ifreet.
He felt drained, but was able to cast a spell. He readied his weapon and cast Mind Slice, hoping that it would confuse the shadow. The attacks from Ifreet sliced through the air, going everywhere. The centaur was hit, but Tristan couldn't tell if it worked or not.
Two things were being established at the moment right now, and the first was that it might have been a bad idea bringing in a kid who was mostly talk from the looks of it. The second was that, somehow someway, the other two were at least making up for it enough. Their efforts, however, weren't enough to completely deter the enemy from doing what it wanted to do. The Centurion was already too mad by this point to even care about the damage it was receiving from its opponents, along with any kind of other special effects those attacks would have had on him.
So with a mighty roar did the Shadow decide to attack the only one who seemed to have frozen up in the middle of battle. Unfortunately, that particular User just had to be the weakest one out of the four of them. And much as Vice would have vehemently refused to step up to the plate and actually save them, his pride wasn't so great that he'd allow any one under his watch to be critically injured. And thus, before the Centaur could break in the newest User, Vice had raised his hand and summoned forth his own energy.
The massive surplus began to spread through out the area as well, and this time Vice didn't bother holding anything back. There was also enough potent energy present that the Centaur, through its rage bridled mind, actually halted its attacks to look at the direction of where the power was coming from.
Unfortunately for the poor bastard, the Black Viper was already half way to meeting its target. There was no time for a witty one liner as the attack completely eradicated the upper half of the beast and caused the black ichor to evaporate on the spot. Shaking his head at the effort placed into that, Vice took another glance of the team and couldn't help but ask one thing:
