Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Already bored with the mines again, Jaelyn made her way back to the sinkhole on her next trip, and just kept going as deep as she could manage. Soon enough, she found herself in the depths of the hole, where the light from the surface was almost nonexistent. Which...would have been more impressive if the surface wasn't so dismal to begin with. So far, Jaelyn was still unimpressed. And while it said something about how strong she had gotten that she was able to get this far down and still be unimpressed up to that point, it meant that she was getting increasingly bored with the whole shadow fighting routine as well.
Hopefully, this far down, things would be different.

Huh. Two shadows this time. Jaelyn was starting to get used to running into them one at a time. Better be ready for any kind of annoyance, then. She summoned Caligula to boost her speed, then attempted to avoid their attacks as they came. One, of darkness, hit her but didn't do much damage. The other, made from a blade formed from the goopy shadow's goopy body, missed. Possibly because of its lazy execution. Jaelyn continued boosting her speed, this time avoiding another slash but taking a punch, then a third time, avoiding both a slash and (damn it all) a blast of wind.
Then, she started fighting back. She targeted the lazy, slashy goop first, and blasted it with fire. It went and goddamn healed itself. The other goop threw another punch at her, but Jaelyn avoided it. Switching to darkness, Jaelyn engulfed the slashy shadow, eating away at it, then stopped to dodge more attacks before continuing the process. She hit it again, but failed to completely take the damned thing out. Thankfully, it didn't heal and instead attempted to slash her again, this time managing to connect. And the other shadow connected too, but fortunately it was with its dark attack. Switching back to fire, Jaelyn blasted the slashy goop into bits. She turned to the other shadow, only to find that it had somehow ended up right behind her...and immediately hit her with a blast of wind.
"Fuck!" Jaelyn hissed as she was thrown back against a pile of debris. Ow...that really hurt. For formless goopy things, these shadows were no pushovers. "One of these days...I'll learn to be careful what I wish for," Jaelyn groaned, standing back up. She blasted the shadow with fire, but unfortunately it seemed to have picked up on the fact that wind really hurt Jaelyn. Jaelyn frantically dodged the next attack, blasting it with fire again, then repeated the process one more time to narrowly avoid one more attack and finish the shadow off.

Ugh. Ow. That had really hurt. It was always with the freaking wind, wasn't it? If Jaelyn could somehow get away from all of that, she was sure she'd be fine. But that was how everything seemed to be, lately. Either it was a pushover, or it had wind and could wreck her. No middle ground.
But, the good news was, she had something decent going down here. Actual, proper fights that didn't bore her to tears. Or, at least, one of them, so far. Jaelyn could deal with that. She still needed something to protect her from the freaking wind damage, but once she had that, there was still hope for this whole shadow fighting thing yet.
