Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Awhile later, and Layla was still no closer to making any sense of the library. Even with her proficiency with languages, she didn't know enough about most of the ones she found books written in to make sense of them. And some, she weren't even entirely sure were languages humanity had ever used. Because of that, only a few of the books she'd looked through were even readable. She probably wasn't going to get very far that way, unless she managed to find some kind of indexing system. Maybe there wasn't anything to find at all, and she was just wasting her time.
...Although, in that case, she might as well at least see if she could find the Ramayana again and take that back. Not like anything but shadows was going to complain.

No sooner had Layla thought that, though, than a couple of shadows came to complain. One was familiar to her, another maya, but the other was something entirely new. And it was...literally a pair of dice. Okay. She could work with that. She drew her weapon and shield, feeling her Persona charge up with magical energy as she did so. It materialized with a thought, stretching its many arms out in all directions. Rings of light appeared on the ground, tracing out a depiction of the Wheel of Life, then erupted in a dazzling flare, consuming both shadows. But as the light faded, both were still alive, despite the dice clearly showing signs of having been weak to the attack. It retaliated with darkness, but only managed to deal a small amount of damage to Layla. Meanwhile, the other shadow managed to hit Layla with a wave of slicing energy. Layla followed up with a second shot of Samsara, finishing off the dice but leaving the maya alive. It charged up for another attack, prompting Layla to slash at it with Vayavastra and kill it before it could get off the charged attack.
