Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Holly didn't intend to go exploring today, but as the day went on she was not only feeling great, but got the feeling that if she did explore today something good would happen. So, she put on the super awesome outfit that she always wore when adventuring in the shadowlands, gathered up her weapons, grabbed her bag for junk and headed out. The library was as it always was, but that was to be expected. She strode up to the next shelf she was supposed to be looking through and started looking through all the books. Today she was going to find something good, she could feel it.

She didn't see anything interesting in the shelves. Hell, the books in this set of shelves were even more boring or just outright bizarre than usual. Was her sense wrong? It wouldn't be that surprising given it was just a random feeling, but it was still disheartening. That's when she sensed a particular powerful shadow nearby. A quick look around the shelf revealed a shining, glowing weird wrestler type shadow. Holly had seen this once before, she felt even stronger than usual after beating it up. Plus, she always had a soft spot for shiny things. A grin formed on her face as her auto buffs activated and she prepared for a fight.
As always, Holly weakened the shadow first. It took too long to fully weaken it, but in her experience just one stack was quite effective. The golden shadow started charging towards her, its hands glowing and surging with energy. It wouldn't be able to reach her in melee as quick as it would probably like, but it didn't matter. The surge of energy escaped from its hands and hit her square in the chest. It hurt, but she could take a few more hits like that before going down. It was time for her own attack now. She quickly drew some of her most powerful weapons and threw them at the shadow. They tore through the poor thing like it was made of warm butter. Holly smirked. It looked like this would be a quick battle. The shadow continued charging and she continued stepping back. As long as it couldn't catch her it would send lightning bolts to her face. Its aim was remarkably good, most of the time it seemed like shadows would be missing every other hit after she weakened them. A few more attacks and the shadow disintegrated in a buff of smoke. Holly stared in its direction satisfied and healed her wounds. The bastard hit pretty hard. However, just as she was about to turn around, the bits of smoke started to reform.
Holly's eyebrow twitched. The shadow was still alive somehow even though she already killed it. She pulled out more knives. Well, if she could kill it once she could do it again. This time, her first attack even silenced the poor creature so it couldn't use its most powerful attacks. It wouldn't survive long enough to see the silence lift.

Her intuition was right, she came out here today when she didn't plan to and she did indeed find something good. It wasn't quite what she was hoping for, but she wasn't about to complain. Shiny shadows were interesting and fighting them made her feel really awesome afterwards. Even more awesome than normal shadow fights. It gave her enough energy to continue digging through the books, even if it was getting tedious. Granted, she was pretty sure that energy wasn't just because of the shadow, but rather a placebo about fighting an awesome shiny shadow and having a particularly fun fight, but those details didn't matter.
