Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

How in flying hell had Jaelyn missed this? After all that time digging around in a huge pit until she got bored and frustrated with it, she hadn't noticed the big floating castle also in the outskirts? Well...whatever. She'd found it now, and made her way inside for a look around. Predictably, it was full of shadows, but none of them were much stronger than what she'd already been fighting. Still, she continued deeper inside, until she stumbled across a library. Immediately, she could tell it had seen a lot of battles. Bookcases all across the entrance had been torn apart, and it looked almost like many more had been recently re-assembled.
Interesting. Maybe, Jaelyn thought, this would be a good place to get back into the fight.

That...that thing was a problem. Jaelyn could already tell that just by looking at it. A shining golden scale twice her height could not be a good sign. Especially when the scale shadows she'd encountered in the past were much smaller. And on top of that the way it patiently waited rather than attacking immediately left Jaelyn with the impression that there were eyes behind the mask at the point where the two beams crossed, watching her every move.
Jaelyn cautiously pulled out a couple of knives, then focused her mind to charge up as her Persona materialized. As though sensing the buildup of mental strength, the scale immediately responded, calling down a blast of freezing air. Jaelyn quickly tucked her arms in close to her body, trying to shield herself in what little way she could from the cold. It didn't work too much, but then again, at least it wasn't wind. She countered the ice attack with a fire one of her own, conjuring an artificial star in the sky over the battlefield and bringing it crashing down. Books and bookshelves burst into flames on the spot as it landed, creating a wildfire within the library. But the giant set of scales held firm, clearly damaged but not enough to do it in. And then it did exactly what Jaelyn hoped it wouldn't, hitting her with a blast of wind.
"Fuck," she hissed as it ripped through her. Everything hurt, as it always did when she was hit by wind attacks. She immediately let loose with another Trisagion, creating a smaller but still very large flare of light and heat that exploded outward rather than crashing down from above. Still, the shadow managed to hold on. Its body was now tarnished with scorch marks and parts of the scales had melted, but it was still in good enough condition to stand straight up and fire off attacks. This time, it attacked in the form of a ball of pure energy. Jaelyn fought back with another massive flare, only for another pure energy explosion to follow. She started charging up for one final strike, drawing from the wildfire around her as well as her own mental reserves. After one final blast of pure energy, she dropped another star on top of the scales, finally melting them to the point that they could no longer attack. Effectively, it was done.
But even so, Jaelyn hit it with one more just to be sure.

Jaelyn laughed as the last of the scales shadow melted down into nothing. That...was all there was, then. Of all the random trash she had fought exploring on her own, that one had to have been the strongest. And it, too, was little more than a pile of molten metal, now dissolving into shadowy particles. Embarrassments against gigantic shadows under the full moon and twisted echoes of the dead be damned. This was true power. Surely even Luka would struggle to match her now.
For a brief moment, her laugh ascended into a mad cackle, then dropped back into something softer, but still crazed. She ran off through the spreading fire, deeper into the library. Why not burn it all down this time?
