Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Luka decided to go for another trip into the menacing looking sinkhole. The first trip she made left a rather bad taste in her mouth, to say the least. A single enemy managed to nearly shut her down with the use of a single skill. Were her capabilities that easily worked around? It didn't exactly give her a satisfying feeling. In fact, it made her feel a bit uneasy. She hadn't felt so uneasy about exploring since her first few explorations in the terminal.
Taking a deep breath, the girl broke past that feeling of dread she felt. Descending into the shadowy abyss, she would begin another expedition to fight shadows. And she would do better than last time, she felt. Why did she think that exactly? Call it optimism if you will, but it may have been her intuition at work. Hopefully.

Moving through the tunnels, Luka delved deeper and deeper into the chasm. She sensed something nearby, but couldn't exactly locate it. Slowing her steps, the girl looked around until she finally located what appeared to be a rather large hand. It hadn't spotted her, luckily. She would be able to make a preemptive strike. She began with a mind charge as per her usual surprise round. Then, she would go with a charged up dark attack.
Her persona Hel came forth, releasing a powerful blast of dark energy on the enemy. Expecting a strong reaction to the blast, the enemy simply brushed off most of the attack. On top of that, it was now alerted to her presence. Acting quickly, she began to charge up again for another attack. The enemy on the other hand, began to literally charge at her. Not able to react in time, Luka was pummeled by the fist, into a nearby wall. But it was just enough time for her to unleash a powerful ice attack just afterwards.
Luckily, that attack seemed to at least affect it. She would stick to normal attacks for the time being though. Getting a good stance, the girl prepared for whatever was thrown at her. When a poisonous arrow came at her, she swiftly dodged it, sending Hel out to do another ice attack. Hitting the hand dead center, it seemed to squeal in pain a bit. Luka could tell that her ice attacks had gotten stronger. They didn't used to be this effective. She wouldn't be surprised if one more hit did the hand in.
The hand signaled for another attack. It was one she had seen before not too long ago, only it had been much more powerful. The reaper-like shadow that appeared on the full moon night had used this attack. Luka didn't see any way in dodging it. Instead, she braced herself using Hel as a guard and took the attack. A blast of pure energy hit her. It was rather powerful. Regardless, she went straight for the kill following the attack. She signaled for Hel to bring out one last ice blast on the enemy, hitting it with the same precision as the last attack. Unable to take the pure force, the shadow's fingers began to squirm painfully until it finally began to disintegrate.

Luka couldn't say that she was overly happy with the results of this exploration. No. It could have gone more smoothly than this. But she was certainly satisfied with how it turned out. She had done much better than the last time she had been here, having been shut out of being able to use magical attacks. But this could have been simply attributed to bad luck. Or in a better way of wording, Murphy's Law. She had simply gotten unlucky that time, and it would likely happen again. All she could hope was that it wouldn't be too bad of luck. She didn't mind walking out of a bad situation if her only other option was not walking out at all. It was an optimistic view. Realistic; but optimistic.
