Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
The shadow, finally done wailing for its birthright in a language no one but he could understand, settled his eyes on the three users that he had been chasing. With a herculean roar, the monster raised his hands high into the air before stabbing himself in the stomach. Black ichor began to splutter around as the massive fingers searched for something within it and after a dangerous glint in his eye appeared, pulled something that was reminiscent of a stomach. The innards were then tied to each other and with a lobbying throw, the Gigas blew the damn organ up in the middle of the fight which somehow caused a wave of Major Almighty Damage to wash over the group along with some fumes that seemed to be quite detrimental to their health.
"Motherfucker what?!"
Jesus christ what the hell was that seemed to be the the pretty good enough description of what the hell just happened but Vice wasn't gonna give up with that. They had to finish this as fast as possible lest this shit happens again. Fending off the Almighty damage that washed over him, the biker called forth for his persona again and sent a Deathbound against the freak with hopes of dealing some form of damage this time around.

I was coughing once the fumes erupted from... What the hell... No, it threw some of its innards out and used them as a grenade. Are you fucking kidding me?! Coughing and raising my arm forward I continued my electrical assault, watching the bolts of lightning streak through the fumes and continuously pelt at the giant beast that seemed content on destroying itself in order to kill us with poison. "Just give it all you got! Fan away the fumes if you can!" I called out wondering if I could get to my allies at the time. I wonder how this will damage Pyxis, who Vice and I knew was robotic. It could be bad if something malfunctioned inside her at a time like this. Regardless, all I could do was to remain on the offensive.
The concept of pulling a bomb out of one's own body was not actually all that surprising or unheard of to Pyxis. She couldn't do it, nor could any of her siblings that she'd met, but it wasn't beyond the realm of possibility. A bomb could be stored within a living weapon's body, then pulled out straight through its 'stomach'. Sure, okay. But that was a machine.
Fleshy things did not work that way.
Fumes continued to radiate from the center of the blast even as they died down. Pyxis, sadly, was not immune to such things, but despite the fumes' detrimental effects to her systems on top of the damage she had already sustained from the blast, she was still holding together. All systems go. Ending this battle quickly was now more of a priority than ever, though. To that end, she unleashed the charge she had been building up. Pandora didn't just let the lid slide off her box, she ripped it off and tossed it aside as a barely visible figure arose from it. Pyxis had seen it before, once or twice, but it was always gone before she could make out any details.
Now, with the distance between them and the shadow, she was able to see it more clearly as it launched itself towards the monstrous Gigas. It was a feminine figure, dressed in white. Shadowy figures and wisps of smoke surrounded it, forming into the more familiar image of a ghastly hand, held out in front of the figure. The hand collided with the Gigas, knocking it back several feet with sheer momentum. Seeing that, Pyxis got an idea.
The roof was eighteen stories up.
"Push it towards the edge!" she called out to her allies. "If we can get it off the roof, the fall might kill it. If it doesn't, then we at least won't have to worry about it smashing the ground out from under us."
Jacket was taken off, wrapped around his nose and mouth to try and stave away anything that could be proven harmful. The fumes themselves was already making it difficult for him to concentrate, and the rather morbid thing that happened just didn't sit well with him. Still, as the bombardment of attacks finally afflicted the enemy who seemed to be suffering from the loss of one of it's stomachs, the shadow took a few more steps back to try and regain some balance to prevent t from falling.
And with Pyxis' rather useful and timely suggestion, Vice wasn't going to let it get anywhere near being stable.
With as much power as he could still muster, his body was beginning to rack up the pain and the fumes had the rather irritating effect of exhausting him, the biker summoned Arondight for another Deathbound. Due to haze however, the attack couldn't quite strike the enemy where he had wanted it to but instead managed to lop off one of its legs instead. It almost fell back and the shadow had to beat its fist shakily to the ground to try and not stumble. It couldn't die after all, it still had to find his father.

Growling and coughing, I opted not to cover myself as I pulled out my bow and started to turn the massive hulking beast into a pincushion. The haze made it hard for me to see, and my allies would probably hear the sounds of arrows flying into nothingness, but the arrows that did hit the beast caused it to stumble as one of its legs got chopped off. Coughing, I continued to shoot arrows like there was no tomorrow, trying to aim at its head, though due to the thick haze and gas it was difficult. On top of that, I was coughing madly and made life difficult for me to get this aiming down. However, I managed to line up a lucky shot that landed into one of the creature's eyes, and it seemed to make this bloodcurdling roar or scream, I guess that must have really hurt. It looked like it would fall backwards any second now.
But I sure as hell wasn't strong enough to push it off...
Pyxis, too, opted not to cover herself as the fumes slowly became a murky haze. The damage was already done. There was very little point now, and besides covering herself wouldn't have actually done much. The others seemed to catch onto her idea fast, with Vice keeping the Gigas off-balance and Alisa firing arrows as quickly (and, admittedly, wildly) as she could. Soon enough, one of them found its way into the Gigas's eye, and the Gigas screamed and started to lean backwards.
No, it wasn't quite close enough. It was going to take one more solid blow to get it the rest of the way off. Pyxis ran forward, ignoring the fumes, with Pandora trailing in the air behind her. Black shadowy figures began rising from the open box, coalescing into a single hand, curled into a fist. On Pyxis's direction, the fist drew itself back and slung itself forward, slamming into the shadow. The shadow stumbled back again, reaching the edge of the roof. Then, its legs caught the wall along the edge. It tripped backwards, and started to fall over the edge.
He heard the groan of the beast, the screaming of the monster as it was blasted by continuous attacks on its weakest points. While the others were dealing with it after his own assault, the biker decided to rid themselves of the stomach that was still exhausting fumes or whatever the hell they were into the vicinity with some gratuitous help from Arondight. As he finished his own task, the enemy that they had been dealing with apparently fell off the building thanks to Pyxis' timely attack.
Hearing the massive crack, thud, and crash on the edge of the roof top a few moments later, the sole male moved on forward to ledge to get a good look of what was still remaining of it.
"That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Everyone alright?"

"Sweet Jesus," I sighed and was leaning forward a bit, bent over and looking a little out of shape. "That stuff was terrible, but I think I'll hold up." I coughed and shivered, looking a little feverish. I'd need to get some medicine and some rest. That was some deadly stuff. Fortunately, my body was getting increasingly resilient, so I doubt I would suffer too much from this. A gas mask would have been nice, though. "Let's get out of here. I need to get some medicine and get treatment for this. I don't want to come back here anymore if things like that are in there. Christ." I looked around for a way to leave the area.
Pyxis approached the edge as well, and despite the sickening thud as the creature hit the street below, she fired a few more shots down off the roof at it, just to be sure. Soon enough, though, the shadow started dissolving, and dispersed into particles. It was over.
"All systems go, as they say," Pyxis said, although her voice was slightly distorted. "Well, mostly. I'll be fine with a reboot and recharge. But we should probably get out of here before it gets any worse." She turned back to Alisa, who was asking how to get out. "Well...either we go back down the long way, or we jump. Judging by Frankenstein's Gigas down there though, I don't recommend jumping."
"A shower sounds good." Vice responded to no one in particular once the scent that came from the flung organ clung to his clothes like the plague. "Well, we could probably just jump through the holes that freak made. I doubt it could jump two floors high with how thick it was." The biker shook his head as he neared the broken part of the roof top and the ceiling of the current floor and the one below it.
"Yeah, I don't feel like taking the stairs. We did good today." And with that, the young man made another check to see if his landing area was stable enough before hopping through the hole. A small thump and Vice landed safely on the floor below them. Whether the two followed or not was up to them, Vice just wanted to get cleaned.

I sighed and hopped down through the hole, following Vice. My landing was rather safe this time around; I was all too used to this kind of pseudo-parkour stuff. Part of the training, and all that. I looked back up at Pyxis. "Well, looks like we're gonna do this the long way. Meet you down at the bottom." I said back to her as I made my way down the hospital complex. First, I needed to shower and clean up. Or take a bubble bath. One or the other. Then, take medicines. Then, treat my wounds. Then, relax and unwind. That was pretty bad. It was certainly a very good learning experience. First hand experience with noxious fumes. I wonder what the effects of prolonged exposure to that crap are. Hopefully nothing too life-threatening, but I should be able to mix up some medicine if I don't have what I need.
Pyxis looked back down over the edge. She could probably slide down the wall, but...no, best not to take the risk with how much damage she had sustained. Vice's way was fine. Pyxis hopped down the hole after the two of them, landing surprisingly gracefully for a human-sized mass of metal. Then again, she had occasionally jumped higher than she'd just fallen. This was fine.
"You know," Pyxis said as she began her own descent after them, "You have no idea how much I wish I could just take a shower too." She supposed that, technically, she could. Her body was made to be waterproofed on the outside, so she could get wet no problem. And her apartment even had a shower, because it was not custom-built for a robot. But it wouldn't have done her much good, and it certainly wouldn't give her the feeling of being clean. Humans had it so good sometimes.
