Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

This was now Holly's fourth trip to the floating castle and it was starting to get a little dull. It wasn't as bad as the mines...yet, but she wished there were other places with strong shadows too. There wasn't much more she could do with this particular area.
That said, she was a little irritated from a certain incident in school, so she decided to come here to study some shadows. It was productive you see, and definitely not a random act of aggression to let off some steam on her part. It was important to lean everything she could about them after all.

Target sighted. Now to beat it up. You know, for science.
It looked similar to another shadow she fought in a previous trip here, but this one seemed more stuck up somehow. The instant she laid eyes on the shadow and realized what was happening, Holly was covered in three bright flashes of colored light making her stronger, faster and tougher instantly with no effort on her part. The knight was also covered in colored lights as she lead with her usual spell, though those lights would be making it weaker, squishier and slower. The horse part of the shadow let out an indignant snort and started charging towards her. Rather than attack with the lance, the knight part of the shadow lifted its off hand and punched her in the face. She was dazed for a moment, but it didn't last long as she turned and threw some knives at the shadow. The horse part howled in pain and the whole shadow was knocked back a fair distance. Looks like it was weak to pierce, which meant between her buffs, debuff, and healing ability that the poor creature didn't stand a chance.
Perhaps this fight would not be the most educational.

That was indeed, not the most educational battle as she expected. About the only thing it told her was that she murdered things weak to pierce really good with her new murder weapons, but that was both obvious and something she already knew, so she couldn't exactly call that educational. Clearly it meant that she was going to have to wander around the halls of the castle some more to see if she could find anything that would teach her more.
You know, because learning stuff about shadows was really important and stuff and the only way to learn more was through experience.
