Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Surprisingly, once Jaelyn got up high enough, the hospital became less of a maze to navigate. Where once a lot of the debris had blocked the path, after awhile she started finding it cleared away. The walls and ceiling were much more badly damaged in these areas, though, suggesting that something had forced its way through. Or else, something had forced its way through while something else chased it and wrecked everything in sight. Whatever the case, the trip started to become much smoother, and Jaelyn was easily able to find her way to the top floor.

Jaelyn didn't have to look very long for a way up to the rooftop. In fact, from pretty near the spot where she had gotten up to the top floor, there was a massive hole in the ceiling and some easy footholds to climb her way up. Once she got there, however, another shadow was already waiting for her. A large bird hovered over the hole, just waiting for her to get up. Jaelyn summoned Caligula as she pushed herself up onto the roof, who raised his gladius high and began to charge up. The bird had no plans of waiting for her to finish charging, though, and dropped a massive cloud of darkness on her, chilling her to the bone. But...not doing nearly as much as it was probably supposed to, since darkness was no longer of a great concern, though.
And then, Jaelyn unleashed the charge, dropping a gigantic fireball out of the sky onto the bird. The fireball slammed it down into the rooftop and exploded, covering the surrounding area in flames that...hopefully wouldn't last long. Even if Jaelyn didn't much care about a building in the shadowlands, she was still on top of it.
She had more immediate concerns, though, as the bird, still alive and flying despite being on fire, came shooting out of the inferno and pecking wildly at her. Jaelyn took a couple hits, but then retaliated with her own stabbing implement, impaling the bird in the chest with her knife to finish it off.

Fortunately, the flames started to die down as soon as the fight ended, leaving the rooftop scorched but not badly damaged. Jaelyn could safely walk on it without worry of falling through. Which meant that she could freely get back down without worry about the place collapsing because of her massive attack.
...There was still the chance of it collapsing because of it just being a shitty ruined building, though. Not that that mattered to Jaelyn anymore. She'd spent enough time in this forsaken place, and she had no plans of a second trip. As soon as she had enough good stuff to sell to the crazy lady and her junk shop, she was leaving and never coming back.
