Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Tristan felt... More powerful. He wasn't sure why, but he wanted to have a look around an area and see if he could get farther than usual. Of course, this master plan ended up getting him lost in mines. He was reminded of when he went into the sewers for the first time; he had been so weak, so fragile. It was almost amusing when compared to how much stronger he had become.
Still, there was the problem of having no idea of how to return to the surface. He had found a minecart rail a while back and was following it, but he wasn't sure if he was just going deeper in or not. However, he didn't really have any problems until he started to smell something weird. Man... Where's a canary when you need one?

He continued to follow the rail, but Tristan wasn't really sure why. It wasn't as if it would really help if it only led him deeper. However, just as he was about to turn around and start following it that way, he caught a glimpse of light. Granted, it wasn't bright, but it was more than noticeable in the gloom of the mines. Starting to run towards it, Tristan was suddenly sent flying backwards by a powerful blow.
He climbed to his feet. Looking to his attacker, he found that he had been hit by a Gigas. He was starting to get sick of encountering them, but at least he knew they provided a challenge. He grinned, then summoned Ifreet. "Burn it," he called to the djinn. The Persona obliged.
The Gigas was still standing even after the fire attack. Tristan was fine with that, as he was wanting to test out his spells. Bringing forth Ifreet again, the boy harnessed pure energy before shooting it at the shadow. The creature screamed, yet still didn't fall. Now mad, Tristan used his weakest spell simply to finish it off.
"Mind Slice," he said as his Persona slashed at the shadow, causing it to dissipate.
