Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

This time... this time for sure, Kyle thought to himself.
He patrolled the museum with his axe resting on his shoulder loosely. He'd already dispatched several smaller Shadows. He noticed that he'd grown stronger since the early days when he had trouble fighting and got exhausted. The training Vice had put him through was certainly paying off. He wasn't one-shoting stuff yet but he was getting there. In this little excursion of his, he looked forward to fighting something a little stronger than a couple of small Shadows. Or maybe plowing through a bigger group. He wanted a damn good challenge.
Do not get insolent, human, Sitri growled. You are still weak and feeble and can be hurt and killed. Dammit furball, I know that, he snapped back. But I can't deny you and me are getting tougher and stronger. I want to test myself! Then fight worthier opponents than these measly Shadows. I do not yet see fear for your life in you.
I ain't afraid of anything here.

Kyle flexed his neck and frowned when the Shadows came into view. So he had a twofer here. Not a problem. He dropped into a stance and summoned Sitri, chopping the floating blue card in two with his axe. The winged leopard demon pounced out of the ensuring flare of blue light, roaring and snarling. He crouched and snarled at the enemies, ready for combat.
Be prepared for the rush of combat, welp! Sitri snarled. I shall set your heart unto a gallop. Sukukaja!
"Sukukaja!" Kyle repeated and a bright green light danced around him.
Suddenly he felt much lighter on his feet and like he could run a 100 meter dash with no problem. He liked it.
First came the ugly blob of a slime-like Shadow reaching out to him with grubby hands. It swung its arms overhead and down, with a very familiar-looking swing of energy like a blade. Kyle dove to the side and dodged it with relative ease. Not bad. He rolled to a knee and issued a counter-attack.
"Get 'im, Sitri!"
Sitri roared and sprang at the Maya-type, swinging his paw and delivering a powerful Slash attack which was boosted by the power of the strange ring Kyle had found some days before. The hit was pretty devastating, pushing the Maya backwards and setting it up to get hit with a hard lightning attack straight after. Sitri snarled again, stretching his wings, which crackled with current. A bolt of lightning struck the Shadow and vaporized it.
Kyle nodded in approval, but then blurted a pained shout when a strong twister of sorts hit him from the side and knocked him on his ass. He swore eloquently and Sitri made a pained snarl. He jumped back up to confront the strange-looking Shadow that looked like two creatures stuck together with shackles.
"Hit my weakness, why don't you," he muttered. "Sitri, hit 'em."
Sitri lunged again, his hit landing hard and sending the Shadow tumbling backwards with an ugly shriek. Kyle saw the reaction and rushed after them, blurting an angry shout and then brought his axe down on them forcefully as they struggled to get back up. He struck hard and there was an awful crack from the creatures as if he'd managed to break something's back with his blow. The Shadow flopped to the ground and Kyle's axe came down again, more smashing than chopping off one of the Shadow's heads, resulting in it's destruction.
