Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

So...this was the massive floating castle. Although Layla had said she wouldn't go in alone...the situation was different now. Everything was different. She already knew her time was short, but recent events had reminded her just how short it probably was. A few years? Suddenly doubtful. And with seemingly no progress on lifting the lockdown, other than destroying a couple more shadows under the full moon, Layla had to wonder which looming inevitabilities would come first. She hated wasting time anyway, but now she knew, more than ever, that she absolutely could not afford to. Nobody could. She couldn't wait the full week she was supposed to after the last medical emergency. She couldn't wait until she'd contacted Alisa again.

Almost immediately, a mounted knight of a shadow stood in Layla's way. But it wouldn't for long. Layla didn't have time to mess around with it. She didn't even wait for it to prove hostile (because of course it would) before blasting it with a giant beam of light. But the knight simply shrugged off the beam. A faint aura started to surround the knight, making it faster. Layla paid it no mind, instead switching to lightning. A massive bolt came crashing down, striking the shadow and sending it off balance. It nearly fell off its 'horse', revealing said 'horse' to just be armor that would otherwise go on one in the process. But it soon recovered, and surrounded itself in a shimmering shield.
Yes, Layla knew this shield. It was the same one that shadow Isaac had used. She knew right away not to shoot lightning at it. Instead, she took a leap towards the shadow, swinging her otta at weak points in the knight's armor. As she landed, the shield faded, but the knight quickly renewed it. So Layla struck again, but this time mis-timed her swing and got thrown off in a counterattack. The knight then took advantage of the counter to move in and bring its massive sword down on her.
Vajrabhairava rematerialized as the knight attacked, catching the blade in its many hands. Layla still felt the pain of taking damage from the attack, but her physical body at least was spared from being bisected. In trying to attack, the knight had again left itself open, allowing Layla to hit it with another lightning strike, finishing it off.

And so the knight went down, leaving a few bits of its armor in its place. Those could be useful later, or they could be sold for money. Whatever. Layla need as much, of anything, as she could get, as fast as she could get it. Anything to strengthen her. Anything to keep pushing forward. Anything to help end this lockdown before she herself gave out.
And with that out of the way, she continued deeper into the castle halls. She was still going strong, despite managing to accidentally hurt herself, so there was no way she was going to turn back now. She was strong enough to get this far, so caution was just going to have to take a back seat.
