Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Pyxis was fully charged up and raring to go. There wasn't much time left before the next full moon, so she would have to make the most of what time she had left. For that, it was time to storm the giant floating castle that Alisa had told her about. Getting up there, surprisingly, was easy, but as she did she came to realize just how huge it really was. Just opening the doors might have been a challenge, even for her, if they weren't already open to begin with. And the moment she stepped inside, she sensed the presence of incredibly powerful shadows from all around. Only the ones in the very depths of the Devil's Descent even compared.
Well, it was a good thing she saved this place for last, at least.
Pyxis caught sight of a rather strange shadow as she made her way through the massive hall. After sensing the presence of a shadow and looking in its direction she saw a Jotun type: a four-armed giant on a rocking horse...floating in midair. And of course she was going to bring it down. Before it could even register her presence, Pyxis opened fire, punching holes in its thick, rotund body despite the considerable distance. The Jotun then recognized the presence of an enemy, but not in time to attack before Pyxis went straight into another one. Elpis materialized the moment her guns went silent, and black silhouettes swirled up from the box beneath her feet to crash into everything solid between her and the shadow. And, of course, the shadow itself was caught in the attack. It rocked under the force of it, but managed to stabilize itself to launch an attack of its own: a blast of fire. Pyxis pushed through it, still taking damage and getting heat warnings but paying them as little mind as she could, summoning forth another Akasha Arts to slam into the Jotun again, this time finishing it off.
The Jotun came crashing down as Pyxis finished it off, and started dissolving before it hit the ground. Enough of it, or at least of the rocking horse, was left by the time it hit the ground to still give a satisfying thud against the floor of the castle. The rocking horse shadows, leaving the last remains of the shadow in pieces. Pyxis looked through them to see if it was holding anything of value, but found nothing but shadowy particles and broken wood. Oh well. Leaving it behind, she pressed on, deeper into the castle. After all, she'd still barely gotten past the entrance.
