Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The castle halls were much larger than Layla had anticipated. Sure, the place looked huge from the outside, but this...this was something else. For the first time in what seemed like a lot longer than it actually was, Layla found herself just a little bit daunted by the sheer scale of it all.
But, she was just going to have to deal with that. She didn't have time to be scared off. Besides, what kind of daredevil would she be if she was scared off by high ceilings and a lot of open space? No, she was going to press on. She had to keep going.

A bird came zooming past Layla continued. She was about to ignore it when it came around for another pass, preparing some kind of attack as it did. Layla summoned Vajrabhairava and launched a bolt of lightning in its direction before it could get its own attack off. It seemed to hit and deal damage just fine, but...not as effectively as she was used to from birds. Then, a massive orb of dark energy came crashing down on her. Layla braced herself against the attack and took fairly minor damage from what would certainly have been much more dangerous if she didn't resist it.
If lightning wasn't hitting a weakness, and if it was using darkness, better try light! Layla responded to the massive orb of darkness with a column of light, and sure enough managed to burn through its body and wings, sending its flight off course. It tried to launch another attack (one of ice, much to Layla's chagrin), but with its flight so messed up it couldn't aim properly, and instead managed to freeze part of the wall. Seeing an opening, Layla hit it with another column of light to finish it off.
And the bird was gone too now. Good. Time to keep moving. She'd avoided the worst of the bird's assault, so she didn't have to wait too much time healing up. And she certainly didn't have to go back. So she was going to keep going until she couldn't. As big as this place was, it wasn't like the sinkhole. There wasn't such a strong need to plan on a way back. In the worst case, she could get out of the castle and rest in one of the few remaining buildings around the castle's base.
Or she could find a closet or something, but that seemed less likely.
