It wasn't very long before I decided it would be a totally smart and good idea to return to the chasm again. This time, I was slightly stronger, had a new blade technique I was eager to try out, and I also wanted to see if I would get lucky with finding something interesting regarding the current situation. Then again, if all else fails, at least the excursion was quite worthy to be a training exercise. Perhaps next time I would come down here with objects that limited or hampered my fighting capability in order to further learn to adapt or improve my raw skill. Maybe I would try fighting blindfolded next time? Who knows? Regardless, I continued to make my way back down to the chasm and its... dark depths. Yeah...

There was yet another giant in the distance, and it looked a little more garish than those I was used to seeing. It turned and saw me, eyes lighting up a fierce red and soon it charged at me, fists raised in a frenzy as it looked to try and beat me down with its large knuckles. Fortunately, I was impervious to the effects of strike-based attacks, and I found myself digging my heels into the rocky dirt and forced the gigas back with the strongest shove I could muster, but the gigas still only literally took one step back. Leaping back and taking advantage of the slight moment of weakness, I charged up a bolt of fierce lightning in my hand and shot it at the gigas' face, who lurched back and roared, responding by casting a blue barrier around itself before conjuring an immaterial blade out of pure rage and attempting to bring it down on me.

I swerved to the side and felt the blade graze my sides. I winced but reverted my gaze towards it and raised my own knife, concentrating energy into my hand, which began to glow white and soon I did a horizontal slash, watching as an unholy slashing wave of energy drove through the imaginary ranks; slashing hard at the gigas, who seemed to take the blow from surprise, probably underestimating me since it was probably three times my size. It looked capable of countering the hit but it failed this time.

I pulled out my bow and began shooting arrows at it, some of the arrows landed into its legs and arms, but it was able to grab some of them and throw them at the ground, some back at me, which I swatted out of the way but they did sting just a little. I crackled my hands yet again and attacked with my slashing wave once more, 'Vorpal Blade' or so I could hear it resounding in my mind, but this time, as the attack connected, the giant stood its ground and roared, stopping the attack and redirecting it back towards me! I jumped out of the way and now noticed that it was tiring out slightly, probably from all the attacks it tried to weather.

I suddenly saw it kneel a bit, but it was actually trying to bullrush me. I knew better than that though, as I leapt into the air as high as I could, latching onto the gigas from behind and jamming my knife into its head, causing it to roar and collapse on the ground as I pulled it back out (that must have hurt) and jumped off of it, watching its fallen body ooze black shadowy essence and dissipate.
