Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Well...this was a great setup. Go all the way down into the very depths of the giant freaking hole, only to get blasted by wind and have to leave as soon as that fight was over. Great job, Jaelyn, make yourself work more because you can't take a stiff breeze. Jaelyn grumbled as she made her way back down, a day later. As much as her mood was soured by the whole ordeal, it was exactly what she had wanted. To find somewhere where the shadows she ran into weren't total pushovers. Now that she'd found it, she might as well go back. Even if getting in and out was unbelievably frustrating.

Jaelyn stopped next to a pile of debris, searching through it for things she could sell off to the crazy lady. Then, she stopped, noticing something else grabbing through the pile. A Hand shadow, to be exact. "Fuck do you think you're doing?" she asked, drawing her knife and stabbing it. The hand recoiled, but soon recovered and started charging up some kind of attack. Jaelyn was about to light it on fire, when a second shadow, another grabby hand, crawled out of the darkness. This one's target for grabbings, however, was Jaelyn herself.
"Like hell you are!" Jaelyn shouted, summoning Caligula and blasting the hand with fire. It, too, recoiled, but it also caught fire and its glove-like skin charred black. The hand lifted itself off the ground and snapped its fingers, attempting to charm Jaelyn. Didn't work. And meanwhile, the other hand did the same, but instead blasted Jaelyn with a supercharged fire attack.
Yeah, no.
It could just keep doing its thing for all Jaelyn cared, though. She'd deal with it in a minute. First, the gropey hand needed to go. She turned her attention back on it, blasting it with another explosion of fire and incinerating it.
The looty hand, meanwhile, tried hitting Jaelyn with lightning instead. And while it worked...Jaelyn still wasn't particularly bothered by it. Taking hits was much easier now than it used to be. A mass of darkness emerged from the empty cavity of Caligula's head as Jaelyn turned her attention on it, engulfing the shadow. It took the hit, then started charging up again. Okay, now there was cause for concern. Jaelyn switched to Sukukaja, enhancing her speed just in time to put it to work avoiding the shadow's next attack. And from there, it was just a matter of eating away at it and avoiding its strongest attacks until she finished it off.

Fuck, that was annoying. Grabby hands and gropy hands. And while it was a comforting thought to know that she was still good enough to beat them without too much trouble (having to slowly whittle one of them down because she just plain didn't have stronger attacks that it wouldn't probably negate aside), she was still not in a particularly good mood after it. In fact...she was pretty much done for today. Again. It annoyed the hell out of her to go back so soon, but she didn't feel like continuing either, so there wasn't much other choice.
She sure as hell wasn't going to sit around in the depths.
