Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Once again I returned to this seemingly giant and labyrinthine library. My pace was brisk and I didn't really give a damn about what showed up at this point. I had already familiarized myself with the environment - just aisle after aisle of bookshelves. It was quite ridiculous, actually. I didn't really know what to say about it all. This entire place, which I thought was a castle, was more reminiscent of some amazing mansion, like the ones I would read in stories and fairy tales. I now seriously wondered what my colleagues would look for in this place, if they were interested in books. Maybe I should ask them some time, because I legitimately thought that perhaps you could actually read some nice stuff in here. But at the end of the day, it was a Shadow-infested library, so I guess I really might be asking for too much here.

I looped around the aisles casually, wondering if there was anything interesting. Well, it looks like my wish was granted as I heard a lot of rumbling sounds. Soon I kind of just stood there as I saw a horde of... A horde of Mayas? I couldn't count all of them. But there were an innumerable amount of them. Not sure if I bit off more than I could chew. Regardless, they were just Mayas. Numbers perhaps did not really matter to me. They all continued to charge in their horde, and I simply stood my ground and prepared my knife. I had my slash technique in order to strike all of them at once, and I was in tip-top condition at the moment, so the energy would be very strong. I horizontally slashed my way through the charging Mayas and released the devastating wave of energy.
It cut swaths through the horde; bisecting what must have been hundreds and hundreds of Mayas. I didn't want to count. But there must probably have been thousands of them. How many thousands? Hell if I know. I definitely wasn't killing them all with one attack though. And my spells were just single target, so I had no choice but to abuse my slashing attacks. Though, many of them managed to reach me and started ramming and charging into me with striking attacks, though I was impervious to them so I didn't really care. I simply retaliated by continuing to release energy waves from my slashes, cutting through the army once more.
I started to retreat as I realized there were way too many. Groaning, I decided to run faster, whirl around one of the bookshelves, and try to push it down. But it was very heavy, and after a couple of minutes and realizing it was futile as the Mayas continued pouring in, I had to just continue attacking. My slashing attacks were clashing against the ramming and slashing of the Mayas too. And soon the slashing waves cut through more of them, but there were still way too many. Coughing and being tossed around a little from the sheer numbers, I collided into a bookshelf and made it topple a little. I groaned and went back up into the fight...
Still so many. Still hundreds, thousands... I don't know... I tried once more again to use my Vorpal Blade. The numbers were dwindling though, as Maya after Maya was cut down from my attacks. So many. An army. I was panting and my movements were becoming slower and a little more sluggish from fatigue. Slashing and piercing arrows came from them too; a real army I was facing here, and I was alone. The arrows from the Mayas mostly missed me as I was a single target, but those that did hit me certainly did hurt. I coughed up a bit of blood and once again forced the issue with my slashing waves. It was all I could do. But eventually the numbers thinned.
Now they probably only numbered the hundreds. Still, they forced their attacks more. I countered with my slashing attack once more. Hah. Panting. Tired. Exhausted. So much energy being expended even as I'm getting attacked. Sigh. But eventually, with my relentless assault, I was able to take them all down. The last one of them damned Mayas crackled and fizzled out.
At the end of it all, I just collapsed on my knees and crawled against a bookshelf, laying down and taking a rest.
