"Order thirty-seven!"
Kaitou strode across the restaurant's kitchen with a tray full of freshly-cooked dishes balanced in one hand. After sliding it over the counter and ringing the bell, he snatched up the next piece of paper dangling on the order carousel, wiping his brow with his free hand. His shift was just about over-- this last dish would be his final submission for the karaoke restaurant. After adjusting his toque, his eyes drifted down to the order.
"Surprise me."
For a moment the brunette was tempted to crumple the order into a ball and throw it across the kitchen. Instead, he just rolled his eyes and stuffed the order in his pocket, grabbing a few eggs and an unopened Spam tin from the pantry. "You want a surprise, you get a surprise... I'm not making anything that requires more work than an omelette as my last damn meal of the night."
A few minutes passed as Kaitou prepared the dish. After all, it wasn't as if he'd just half-ass the meal. That went against his pride as a chef. No, he'd at least make an above-average omelette, even if it took a few extra minutes to set up. Eventually, he was staring down a plate piled with rice, the omelette itself, and a few slices of sourdough toast on the side. An odd dinner for sure, but whatever. Deciding he would deliver this one personally, Kaitou yanked the order receipt out of his picket to check where he was carrying this meal to. Room thirteen, in the back. Cool. Whatever. Since he'd be leaving right after dropping off the grub, he grabbed his sword bag from next to the double doors and slung it over his shoulder. Soon he was knocking at the customer's door before barging in. He spared a very short glance at the customer (a blonde Caucasian girl) before neatly setting her dish on the table.
"Let's see... You asked for a surprise, so I decided to make you breakfast for dinner. Spam omelette over rice, sourdough toast and jam... If you want something else, you can call the waiter over. My shift's... done..." While Kaitou spoke (and rather haughtily at that), he looked up from the receipt and at the girl he was serving. as their eyes locked, realization struck like the bad memories of a lightning attack to his chest. He was staring right at Holly Mason, one of the more powerful Users from the shrine battle and the one who had tried the hardest to keep the ragtag fighters somewhat organized. The brunette had been planning to meet up with her, but not quite like this.
Regardless, opportunities like these didn't just fall in your lap. taking a step back, Kaitou snatched his toque off his head, running a hand through his hair before folding his arms. "Er, I'll be blunt about this since there's no good way to approach the subject. You were at the shrine last week during the full moon, yeah? I was there too-- and I've been wanting to speak with you."
"...After you eat, of course."
