Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Jaelyn only got a little farther into the cave before she hit a bend in the tunnel. After that point, it was pitch black, so she decided that that was as far as she was going to go. Turning around, she started to head back, walking straight through the leftover flames from her last battle. When she got back into the massive pit, she noticed that the hellfire from earlier was still burning, but had died down considerably. Interesting. The fires she'd lit earlier didn't do anything like that. They always died out after the fight ended. This new level of power really was impressive.

But wouldn't she know it, while Jaelyn was exploring the cave another shadow had appeared and was blocking the path back up. It was a big freaking castle thing, too. Dealing with it was probably easy enough, though. It looked like the slow sort, so Jaelyn boosted her speed. It started charging up, so she boosted it again. It flung a massive bomb over the ramparts, but Jaelyn avoided it, and boosted a third time. By this point, she was easily able to avoid most of the shadow's slow attacks, aside from the occasional cutting wave, and returned fire with literal fire until even its stone body melted and the shadow dissolved into gooey molten bits.

Well, Jaelyn thought, she'd just blown up a castle. Anywhere else, that would be either something to leave people awestruck or arrested for. Here, though, it seemed all too...normal. Yes, she'd blown up a castle, but so had probably everyone else by now. All of her accomplishments always seemed underwhelming when put next to any of the other Users. Even when they involved mastering hellfire or blowing up castles.
"Damn it, I don't need this right now," Jaelyn grumbled. The entire reason she was still fighting after what had happened at the shrine was that it took her mind off of other, less pleasant things. Having those thoughts intrude on the fighting was completely unwelcome.
