Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Okay. Setsuna had heard some pretty horrible things about the sewers in this screwed up world, yet she decided to come here anyway, and she was already regretting it. She had been told a lot of things, ranging from how disgusting the smell was to how just being here makes one feel like it would take at least ten showers to not feel absolutely filthy. None of it come even close to doing the reality any sort of justice. This made that abysmal city beyond the border look like a playground filled with sunshine and rainbows. Already, she couldn't wait to leave this place, but, at the same time, she had already come to far to leave without doing anything. Thus, the search for some Shadows to beat up continued.

Oh thank God. Never before had Setsuna been so happy to come across Shadows while wandering aimlessly in this messed up place. Now she could beat the living crap out of them and be on her way back home. Then soak in a hot bath for about a day. Then she'd never have to come here again. Ever. At least not for a very good reason. Like a mission that was offering something like 500,000 FP and Level 10 Weapons and Armor. Then she might consider it. Otherwise, there was no way in hell she was every going to set foot in this place again. At least, not willingly. It'd have to be pretty drastic for her to feel like she "had no choice" to come here, though.
But I digress. There were two Shadows; one that looked like a mage of some sort, surrounded by what looked like square tiles of paper that floated around it to form a cube-shaped barrier of some sort. Okay. Why the heck not? The other looked like some sort of scale. Somehow, that made even less sense. But whatever. Setsuna stopped questioning all of this a while ago. Just gotta roll with the punches, right? And by "punches", we mean wooden swords. First, she looked over the Balance. It looked a tad fragile, so she went after it first. Rushing toward the scales, she brought her swords down on it with a simple-but-effective double-chop. And it was especially effect, prompting a grin from Setsuna as it crumpled to the floor. Gotta love finding weaknesses early on.
As the Balance struggled to recover from the attack, the Sigil retaliated by, surrounding the Balance in a bright light and healing it (Diarama. Well shit. Sounded like this thing needed to go first. Setsuna set her sights on the Sigil and did the same thing she did to the balance, only to be met with the unwelcome feeling of her swords' impact being dulled. So this thing resisted physical moves. Great. Meanwhile, the now-recovered Balance proceeded to launch a blast of flames at Setsuna, causing her to cry out in pain as she dropped to her knees (Agilao). Then, the Sigil materialized some sort of arrow from out of nowhere and shot it at her, hitting her on the shoulder (Poison Arrow). Luckily, she wasn't poisoned, but the damage was still pretty noticeable.
Staggering to her feet, Setsuna set her sights on the sigil and summoned Undine. It was nice, being able to summon her Persona without needing her Evoker anymore. Just because she got used to using it doesn't mean she didn't find the whole thing morbid as hell. She still had a ways to go before she'd be anywhere near as powerful as the Persona Users she fought along side during the last two full moons, but she had definitely come a long way since she started out. Then, without even a word from Setsuna needed, Undine raised her arms, and a blast of lightning came down to strike the Sigil (Zionga). Unfortunately, this only did neutral damage. Both Shadows attacked again, using the same skills. This time, Setsuna dodged the fire, but was still hit by the arrow. Again, she wasn't poisoned.
Now, it was time to try another spell. This time, it was a pillar of ice (Bufula), and the attack struck with noticeable force, causing the Shadow and all of the paper tiles surrounding it to fall to the ground. The Balance, thankfully not being very smart, tried a different tactic, and tried to poison the girl...and failed. Apparently, the Gods of "Not Getting Poisoned" were smiling upon her for this battle. Once again, a blast of ice was launched at the Sigil, who was destroyed. Not backing down, the Balance tried (and failed) once again to poison the girl. Lucky for her, it wasn't smart enough to realize that it'd have an easier time just spamming that fire attack. Not that Setsuna was complaining, of course. This was working out just fine for her.
With her swords in hand, she moved in to strike the Balance, which crumpled to the floor. Then, deciding to kick it while it was down, she struck at the Balance yet again. This caused it to jump back to the scale's equivalent to feet, then try to blast her with flames. Setsuna cried out, as they hurt quite a bit, but she ignored the pain and forced herself to keep going. Striking once more at the Balance, it crumpled yet again due to its weakness. Finally, she attacked one last time while it was down, this time destroying it. Setsuna let out a heavy sigh of relief. These battles seemed to be getting tougher and tougher with each battle. Which, of course, she didn't mind. It'd get too boring if all of the Shadows were too easy. Either way, she set off to leave these godforsaken sewers and head home. She couldn't wait to take a bath...or ten.
