David didn't look too pleased when Seiji stuck up for him. Despite being the youngest of the three interns, Seiji's introspective nature deemed him the most...'normal'. David was trying to downplay his own ability and there seemed to be some baggage causing that. Zhou, on the other hand, was quite the happy guy. Seiji had to say that he liked the positive attitude although he wondered if that enthusiasm would stick around once they were just giving Mr. Alexander his coffee and other miscellaneous boring tasks interns were often faced with. Ah well, they were all getting along too well for Seiji to bog them down with his own thoughts. Alex asked David and Seiji if they were friends and Seiji nodded. "Yes, I'd like to think so." Turning his attention to David, Seiji gave him a faint smile and added, "You know, you should really stop by my brother's store on Mimoza Corner. We'd both love to hang out some more, David." At least Takeda would react better to someone like Dave being in the store than some of the more...typical customers that frequented the store.
Finally stopping in front of an apartment, Alex went inside to get a change of clothes. For an interview, things were getting very cloak and dagger. Seiji felt kind of bad for Alexander. It seemed like he didn't really get the chance to be his own person because of all the expectations given to him. At least he had the vigor and creativity of youth to help him come up with ways to slip out of the stuffy suits that a CEO was expected to wear. Left alone with both of the other interns, Seiji shivered in the cold winter air and turned to David. "Really though, you should stop in and see us, man. We owe you one. Takeda could get you the hook-up on free manga." Zhou fished for conversation and Seiji took him up on that considering he latched onto a subject that was of interest to him. "Kendo? Yeah, I'm on the team. Can't say I get to play much given the isolation of the city but it's a fun way to pass the time." Oddly enough, he wasn't as open or reactive to Zhou as he was to Dave. He felt like a fish that swam past a hook dangling in the water. "Since we're gonna be working together, that offer extends to you, too. You can come by Manga-Max sometime."
Alex soon reappeared much more casually dressed and Seiji was surprised at how much younger the guy looked. Walking down the street again, they looked more like four friends enjoying a day off rather than guys doing an on the run job interview. "Food sounds better and better the more you guys talk about it. Here's hoping they have hamburgers." His diet of choice was almost strictly American and not exactly the healthiest choice in the world. Somehow his body managed to remain scrawny and toned, probably due to only eating small portions. Walking through the crowds, Seiji addressed the others like one of them wasn't their boss. "So guys, I wonder if our boss plays games. We'd have a pretty good zombie killing team if we could catch him when he wasn't too quickly." He adapted to their boss man's cover quite well, all things considered.
