Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Luka's last run-in with shadows in the underground terminal ended in a rather less-than favorable way. She managed to fight off and defeat the shadows, but left herself in a state much too tired to fight. Now she could only hope for better results. Today she was fully rested and armed. She remembered to bring her naginata which she had gone through all the trouble of finding. She hadn't practiced before coming, but how hard could it be? As that thought passed her by, she tripped on some rubble and stabilized herself with her weapon, only to fall shortly after. Yeah, she was fine.
Brushing the rubble off of herself, she shivered and got back up. It was somewhat cold in the tunnel, but it couldn't be helped. She would have to manage. After all, her goal today was to reach the other side of the terminal safely. Could she manage? Maybe. She knew that most of her failure from the day before had to do with being spotted early. If she was on the surprising end, the battle might have turned out much more in her own favor. She would get better in time, she thought. She would have to. Much more powerful shadows lurked farther out from the city; or so said the strange woman who lived out here. It was an intimidating task, but she was up for it. She wanted to try and defend the city as best as she could. She continued through the strange tunnel, keeping an eye out for any shadow activity.

Luka's steps were quiet. Quieter than usual, anyway; since she wasn't very loud to begin with. She made sure not to trip again, which seemed to be a common occurrence here. And sure enough, she found a strange shadow a little bit ahead in her path. It was a bit bigger than the ones she had encountered from before, but there only seemed to be one of them. She couldn't safely judge how much of a challenge this fight would be, but she had the upper hand with a potential surprise attack. This thing might not go down in one hit like the others though. She would have to be prepared for whatever it threw at her.
Getting into position, she pulled out her evoker and summoned her persona. Yuki Jyorou! The shadow seemed to notice the summoning of her persona; albeit a bit late. Luka had already sent an ice attack flying towards the enemy. Knocking the enemy clean over, it got up rather quickly and made a mad dash for Luka. Certainly not expecting this, Luka readied her naginata in hopes of blocking the attack. With a single swing of her weapon, the girl lost her balance and was hit in her side. She felt like she had been hit in the side with a baseball bat. Well, maybe not that bad since nothing seemed to be broken. Or perhaps she was just that resilient? She scrambled to get up quickly, ordering another ice attack at the enemy. Her persona did just that, landing a shot point blank in the enemy's back.
Believing she had enough time to get back up, Luka pulled herself up with her weapon. She was then met with a fireball that had been hurdled right at her. Bracing herself, she was knocked back on the ground once again. This fight wasn't looking too good for herself. This enemy seemed to be taking all of her hits. But surely, her naginata should be able to land a nice hit on it. Quickly rising to her feet, Luka charged at the enemy with the blade pointed forward. A lunge of faith.
Racing forward, Luka knew she could reach the enemy before it attacked again. Closer and closer, the girl closed in on her target. She could almost feel the enemy now. And then, she fell. Tripping on another rock, Luka felt herself hurdle towards the enemy shadow. Pushing it down on the ground under her, Luka realized just where she was. Immediately, she began to flail about uncontrollably. The shadow couldn't get back up, simply taking Luka's kicks and flailing arms. Her naginata was off to the side, nowhere near landing on the enemy. Then again, it wasn't going to hit it anyway.
Under her flails, the shadow felt itself become overwhelmed until it could no longer manage. With the shadow finally dissipating, Luka plopped to the floor. Blinking, she took a moment before realizing that she won. Aside from that, she did it without sustaining too much damage. Perhaps she really was cut out for this sort of thing? No, probably not. But Luka was at least satisfied with the outcome. With that, she decided that she would try paying the strange woman a visit.

Just what kind of victory was that anyway? Luka knew that she was way too clumsy in that fight. If anything, it was pure luck that allowed her to grab victory. That was what she began to feel as she walked out of the terminal and towards the woman's establishment in the outer circle.
After this, she would probably go home and take a long shower to think things over. And to top things all off, she had school in the morning. This exhaustion was becoming too much of a problem for her. At this rate, she might have to start missing classes.
