Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Welp, the mine had some strong shadows and that was more than enough reason to keep Seiji coming back for more exciting midnight brawls with shadows. While he was still focused on searching for answers, his solo excursions into the outer circle had devolved into little more than training exercises. There were big bad boss creatures out there and what he was doing essentially amounted up to grinding. On the bright side, it was grinding that helped his swordplay out for Kendo.
During team meetings, the captain often found himself awed by how much Seiji had improved in the span of the last few months. Despite feeling like he was cheating due to his 'strange' training methods, he was proud of himself. Walking down into the mine, he leaned against a wall while his persona card floated above his hand. Something would come up sooner or later, so he was biding his time.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Closing his eyes, Seiji breathed easy and was momentarily caught off guard. It was in that exact moment that he felt a heavy sinking feeling come over him. Quickly opening his eyes, he saw another of the hand shadows pointing at him and focusing a blast of dark energy on him. Trying to run further down the path to get his bearings, he saw another of the strange idol creatures and a floating book. Caught between three powerful shadows in a confined space, Seiji cursed his luck as he desperately tried to summon Sir Gareth.
The familiar sound of a wine glass shattering couldn't come soon enough as his persona jumped from the sea of his soul ready and willing to fight. Slashing his massive sword wildly, he forced them all back before a massive burst of light filled the area. The shadows recoiled and left Seiji with an opening wide enough for him to jump in and give a hearty slash to the book. Unlike the other two shadows, it hadn't been damaged at all by the burst of light. Not good. Not good at all. He'd never encountered a shadow that nullified an attack before. The shadow that appeared on the night of the full moon had absorbed a bullet and healed itself. He doubted anything here would be able to absorb his attacks but man would that suck if something could.
While Seiji held the book at bay, Gareth released another barrage of light that weakened the other shadows a bit. Back on the first floor of the executive building, that attack had saved his rump and made short work of the weaker shadows. It would be time for an upgrade soon. The book launched its own light attack at Seiji and it hit him right in the chest. Ugh. It wasn't as strong as it could've been, but taking the attack wasn't exactly a pleasant experience even with Sir Gareth's protection. Just as he raised his electric blade to hit the shadow and maybe finish it off, a strong burst of wind hit him and knocked him off balance. The book escaped and a shrill laughter filled the air.
Standing himself up calmly, Seiji ran after the book and pierced its pages with the end of his blade, tossing it aside and moving on to the last shadow as Gareth vanquished the hand with another mahama. Despite how weak the attack was, it seemed to add up after a while. Taking a moment in the midst of the battle to reflect, he was impressed with how composed his soul was and how in tune with Sir Gareth he was. He saw some other Persona users call out their attacks and he didn't know if that was because they chose to or because they had to do so. All the light had worn down the idol and Sir Gareth made short work of it with Getsu-ei.
Time to get a look around. Maybe there'd be some loot.

Not a single darn piece of loot. Oh well, there was always next time, and there was the, uhm...experience? Yeah, the experience. This wasn't a straight role playing game, so it wasn't like he'd see a bunch of numbers roll across the screen and then randomly feel stronger. Instead, it was, as some people would say, practice makes perfect. At least he could drag some junk back and get some money for it. Money was always good, especially on Takeda's budget.
Grabbing his things and sheathing his sword due in large part to knowing how the shadows seemed to back off after one encounter when he was alone, Seiji sighed happily and walked back out to the surface and found his way back to the city, made a pit stop at the gap to drink some good old fashioned shadow cola, and then went home and probably had some off screen adventure at school the next day. Things kind of just happened that way.
