Time for round two. I had some additional protection from the used gear I bought from Ran. On top of that, I had a better knowledge of what to expect from these nasty creatures. I was better prepared for any low blows that these things might actually offer. Today, I was more confident making my way through the terminal. I may not have possessed a Persona, but I had literally survived a battle with a giant fuck-off Shadow, even if we numbered in the double-digits and I almost got blown up. That said, I made my way back to the Executive Building. I steeled myself and prepared to go back in. I briskly made my way up the stairs, going up to higher floors. Shuffling about and coughing, I opened one of the doors to an office on this particular floor I decided to idly stop by on. The office itself looked rather nondescript save for its rather wrecked state. Desks were cracked and battered, drawers were left wide open, papers strewn all over the ground - the works. I decided to look at some of the papers for any valuable information.
Nope, all junk. The papers just seemed to be stuff regarding business matters, sales figures, and stuff that generally befits a company that deals with the sale of products or services. I sighed and shrugged, shuffling about as I stepped on more stray papers, making crunching sounds. I looked around and noticed that one of the broken windows was also wide open. How redundant. I peeped out of it to realize I was actually fairly high up despite having only walked a few flights of stairs. I didn't think too much of it but it was rather suspect. Continuing to snoop around and look for evidence of my parents, I rummaged through the drawers. Nothing interesting here. I periodically looked back at the door to check if someone was trying to sneak up on me.
I sighed as I soon started to hear the howling wind outside. I tried to close the windows but realized it was futile as the windows were also broken so I would still be able to hear the wind regardless. Man, this place was a wreck. I soon wondered if the wind blowing was an ominous sign of things to come. I continued to explore the room, hopefully there wasn't any Shadow that tried to sneak up on me...
