Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

A trip to the hospital was in order. Haha, not the real hospital back in town. I mean, like, there's a hospital out there, the Old Saints' Hospital, that got struck down by the catastrophe (I think it was, anyway. I don't actually know yet) and now Shadows lurk there, or something. I don't know, I only heard vague things about haunted hospitals. I figure that maybe there's something useful there that was left behind, something I could salvage out. Yeah, let's think of it that way. I went to the area where the Hospital was, and quickly entered the rather imposing complex. Inside was the lobby, which I blatantly disregarded and began to rush inside, looking through the managerial areas of the hospital, looking for things or signs that people had already encountered Shadows that might have possibly been there. I didn't want to look through the ER or the wards, not yet, anyway. I shuffled through the offices and looked and rummaged through drawers. Nothing.
Instead, I found a computer terminal. Of course, there would be no internet, but maybe it would still be operational and maybe I could find some files in there that might be of use. Nope. Electricity here's out. Sighing, I run through the corridors and try to search for more evidence of former life in this damnable establishment.

Continuing my sprint, I grinded to a halt when I saw a black tiara shadow and a little angel-like figure, who looked to be doing something rather obscene with himself that I dared not describe. I shook my head and took my bow, shooting an arrow directly at the angel which I will now dub a cupid, as it too had a bow, and my arrow pricked it in the thigh, causing it to emit a bloodcurdling sound in its shock and surprise. The tiara, however, had noticed my presence and immediately responded to my attack by turning on its side and charging an unusually large ball of flame towards my direction; it resembled the spells of flame Ran was casting on the shadow back then. I growled and braced for impact as it engulfed me, causing me to kneel and shake as my clothes blackened and became rather holey. Growling, I noticed the cupid had looked at me lecherously, taking its own bow and charging it with some light, before shooting at me with it; the arrow of light had made its way towards my leg, the tip driving into my knee, causing me to grimace and wince. I had not made a sound, instead I responded by shooting yet another arrow at the cupid, this time the arrow stuck at its forehead, causing it to flail about. The tiara this time again flung a ball of flame at me, I had to weather yet another powerful bout of flame, causing me to spin about and fall over. On the cupid's part, it was very weak, yet it was still able to cast magic, this time a white, searing aura surrounded me as paper talismans stuck to it, and it dispersed as if embedding spikes into me.
It was painful, yet, I somehow still stood, panting. I lunged at the cupid and drove my dagger into it, which sealed the deal and left me kneeling and prepared to weather another blow, though my mouth bled and my left leg was shaking from the arrow I took to the knee. The tiara, black as it was, simply dove and charged towards me thinking I was weak. Its impact knocked me into the wall, but I managed to bring myself to my feet and literally crack it into two pieces with a critically placed mortal strike from my dagger, perhaps it was blind luck, perhaps it was my rage and inner will to survive that powered it, but that should seriously not have happened. As it stood though, I eliminated the shadow threat, but I was too exhausted to continue moving on.
Today's search was going to be a fruitless one as I kneeled to regain my energy.
