Alisa is responsible for her life only, for the most part. She doesn't really want to make commitments at the moment because right now she seeks closure for the mysterious disappearance of her parents, which may or may not have anything to do with the investigation of what's going on "outside." To sustain herself, she often tries to have her writing published somewhere where it can be seen, or tries to have her artwork posted or printed in various media. Actually, you'd better be careful if you want to talk to her while she's got this obsession out in the open, because she can get pretty bitchy if you try to talk her out of it. Better to provide her with false hope and support if, for some reason, you are afraid of her being bitchy. Otherwise, knock yourself out. Maybe even literally - that knife isn't just for show!

"If you're going to get in my way of finding the truth, you'd better be careful; you might find yourself at the business end of my knife one stormy night."
Alisa only makes enemies out of others when they successfully piss her off enough that she wants to strangle them. No, seriously. If you don't want to make an enemy of Alisa, better not get in her way. Other than that, she's rather unassuming and if you were to ask a peer, they'd probably be rather clueless about Alisa's pseudo-murderous tendency. Then again, you'd have to be a real tool to try and deter someone from finding the real reason why their parents just freakin' disappeared one evening. I mean, that's something you just don't ignore, isn't it? ...Well, I guess Alisa's parents mean a lot to her. Haha. She has some... issues, maybe? Perhaps they were ingrained from Anna's indoctrination of her, but it's hard to really say. But be careful - she's not kidding when she has that knife around, it's certainly not for show. You could get seriously hurt, so unless you have balls of steel, you really shouldn't intentionally mess with her.
Jokes? Alisa doesn't really care about jokes too much, and she is fairly classy enough about a certain other demographic of people who may want to come onto her.

"Got a lead? Alright, you're in. Welcome to the Ayakura Information Network. Actually; that's not an official thing. Just came up with it a few weeks ago. Gotta make some extra cash, y'know."
Alisa would be very willing to exchange information with people who ask, either for a fee (that is to say, money) OR alternatively for a lead on what could possibly have happened to her parents, so keep this in mind if you are going to try and conduct business with her. Those who are more secretive and wish to benefit only themselves in the Data Arms Race should probably stick to only paying her money. Sure, you'll lose money, but if you're that kinda person, it's better than giving away your own secrets. However, it's also perfectly reasonable that Alisa's got friends in the art and creative community, seeing as she also does writing and art for a living. There are many ways to get connections through those avenues. Also, she tends to go outside a fair bit more often than her parents did, she prefers... talking to interested parties personally rather than through another form of contact. So it's also perfectly possible to bump into her on the streets. She's got a pretty distinct sense of fashion, so it's easy to find her, if you know it's her.

"Are you... sure this is a... good... idea?"
Alisa was always attracted more to women, probably because she had a seemingly fatal attachment to her mother, Anna, before she disappeared. Of course, when you're indoctrinated in the arts by such a foreign beauty, you might get influenced easily. However, she's still a little wired in reality, and doesn't seem to mind guys either, as long as they're sensible. Well, okay, they have to be a little adventurous, too. However, Alisa's not really thought about romance too much in her heavy pursuit of ~*~the truth~*~. She's probably not going to function all healthily in a serious relationship, but if her potential partner can help keep her in line AND NOT GET IN HER WAY BY PISSING HER OFF, they might actually be able to save her from her inner turmoil and demons, who knows? Of course, pissing her off in such a relationship probably makes things worse on the both of them. Alisa feels an obligation not to strangle her at-the-time boy/girl-friend (probably because she sees her parents as an example or rolemodel of how to manage a romantic relationship) and... Well... Yeah. Sad for them.
...It'll probably be rewarding in the long run though, if everything works out - you'll most likely get access to all of Alisa's machines and equipment, and all that. But... Again, Alisa hasn't thought very much about romance, so she'll be very awkward about it at first. You know, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and such.

If you have your own personal investigations you want drawn out but don't have the time or resources to do it (especially because... well, you're busy fighting ~*~them shadows~*~ or maybe you have too much schoolwork?) then you may find Alisa and have her do it for you. Of course, there will probably be a fee, but that can be waived if you have good information that she doesn't already have. Of course, you're also free to try and chase her around and ask her for information yourself, but she probably doesn't have a wealth of information regarding any shadow-related business, as she hasn't actually gotten any exposure to it. She's just trying to investigate the circumstances around the lockdown at present, though of course, her information seeking abilities might have already been scouted out by someone out there.
...So you might want to hire her, possibly. She can fight, after all.
Update 1: Ayakura is now aware of the truth surrounding Mosaic City. Yes, it's quite messed up, and as much as she'd like to do things on her own, she can't, simply because she doesn't have the power to at the moment. Building up a network of contacts who are confident enough to work with her would be nice, this contact could be done via local Internet - the Ayakura Information Network itself isn't entirely down since there's still comms available within the city itself. Of course, the rest of it is rather crippled, but we'll just have to deal. Furthermore, you can also utilize local internet to try and explore Alisa's more creative pursuits. She commonly deals with article and story writing when it comes to literal endeavours, while on the other side of the spectrum you will find Alisa has an art blog-cum-website which stores a mixture of SFW and NSFW art. Most of her NSFW art, however, is a reflection of her inner turmoil - mostly art involving more extreme fetishes including violence and the occasional leather streak. Her NSFW art also has a distinct H flair that is totally unlike her SFW art, mostly consisting of more Western-influenced figures with the Orient only influencing her landscapes and skylines.
