Luka was scouring the grounds beyond the terminal tunnel looking for any signs of . . . well, anything. She still wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to be looking for. There were many landmarks she could explore, but one in particular stood out. The looming executive building that remained standing despite the many other that fell. It was the tallest building around, even taller than anything found in the Inner Circle. Today, this would be her target.
Standing at the base of the large building, she had trouble looking up at it. Before giving herself a headache, she focused her gaze back on the entrance and headed in. Looking around, she spotted the first set of stairs that she could locate. Scaling this entire building would prove to be quite an ordeal. But what if there was truly something important at the top? There was only one way of telling, and that was the hard way. Moving up several flights of stairs, Luka could feel herself becoming more sensitive to the shadows that lurked around. It seemed that the higher floors housed more powerful shadows. In fact, the power of the ones at the top floor seemed immense. Could she one day become powerful enough to face such foes? She could only hope, else her ill-reasoned martyrdom would be all for nothing.
As she left one of the countless sets of stairs she climbed, she sensed something around the corner. Readying her weapon, Luka slowly walked around the corner. She was determined to get the first hit off on the enemy this time. Her strategics would need some work of course, but that's what these first few rounds were for. Practice; which forms perfection.
