Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

It had been a long time coming since I remembered the words of that young girl. She had angered me at first, but over the days and as I spent time with Chidori, I soon recognized that there was no way I was going to get anything done in there on my own. At the same time, I knew that if I took Chidori there I would have to be accountable for her safety and well-being. I gritted my teeth as I had decided it would be a learning experience for the both of us if we entered this place. I recalled the words of Ran telling me how strong and powerful the enemy Shadows here were, but this time, I made a resolution to myself, that if I had just... Well, part of me decided it was good advice to stay back and ignore it. On the other hand, I... Well, something told me this wasn't the smartest idea in the book but I wasn't finding anything of substance in the places closer to the Terminal. I had to go further out if I wanted to discover more, probably.
I took Chidori to the outside parts of the circle, and pointed into the tunnels that led to some mines. "...Someone told me about this part of the area. I don't remember exactly what was inside, only that apparently, there was the risk of there being stronger Shadows, but possibly more things to find compared to places we've already been." I gestured for Chidori to follow me inside the mine tunnels. They weren't too big but they weren't too small either. "Please tell me if we should turn back. We shouldn't get in over our heads here."

Once again, Alisa was taking her out to an area of the outer circle that she had not visited before, and once again, the mute was feeling a tad guilty about clinging to the older woman's side so much. Then again, this way, they could tackle slightly bigger problems than they could on their own, and it was less dangerous for either of them generally. Not to mention, Chidori's confidence was building slowly, but she wasn't quite ready yet for going out on her own.
Besides, the company was actually pretty nice, too.
'Let's go slow. Someone has to explore it sooner or later, and it'd be nice to find something more conclusive to contribute, you know?' Having someone who could read lips as a partner really helped, too. Nevertheless, Chidori steeled herself, getting ready to explore an area of tougher shadows; she would need to step up one way or another.

Chidori was right; she mentioned to me to go slow, so indeed, that's what I did. I figured that if we took the search slowly we'd be more thorough in finding out anything strange. Unfortunately, there wasn't a whole lot so far. Chidori also mentioned that there might be something more conclusive to find here as well, and that at some point, someone had to explore the area. Something tells me that we've already been beaten to the punch though. I hoped that with each other's company we could work together to surmount any possible challenges that may arise. That said, I didn't really have much time to think as I heard some loud footsteps coming from one of the tunnels. As I peered around to my left, I saw a distinctly red, almost glowing red, giant of a man, some titan or gigas, what do you call those? No clue... But it was really big. It turned and I could see its piercing red eyes, and its monstrous expression. It growled loudly, calling to attention a strange wheel-shaped apparition. It wasn't clear enough for me to tell what kind of design or motif it had on it.
...But it certainly looked happy to see us. It spun around in place as orange lights surrounded it and its partner the giant, and soon enough the latter beat its chest in some sort of warlike reverie. I rubbed my forehead. I took out my mongol bow and decided that the wheel was a better target; it seemed a mite more fragile than its compatriot over there and I had a feeling that if Chidori and I both focused the big guy, we could take him down... But that red aura of his really gave me the chills, like genuinely so. I pointed my bow and shot an arrow at the wheel as it spun around, as my arrow impacted, it recoiled and responded with strong gusts of wind being shot at me, I braced myself as I knew I could not evade the wind itself, and I could feel sharp things cutting at me, cutting through my clothes, as I growled and weathered the pain. Meanwhile, the Gigas seemed content with lumbering forward and delivering a long-reaching smack, which hit the ground in front of me and sent me stumbling backwards.
I motioned for Chidori to split from me so we would not both get hurt by the titanic man, and I gathered my composure and scanned the area to find the wheel again. I strung my bow and let loose another shot, causing the wheel to spin again. Wasn't down for the count yet, but instead decided to join its smashing friend and strike with some energy aura, charging into me as I stumbled and got hit by a giant wheel, causing me to roll back a little. Ouch! I kneeled and retaliated with another shot from my arrow, causing the wheel to finally shatter and break. I gasped for breath as the Gigas seemed too impressed with its own strength to motion for another attack immediately, but soon it eyed me with disdain as I had defeated its friend.
"Chidori...! Careful!"
The Gigas roared loudly and let loose another punch, I tried to roll to the side as I thought it was going for me, and indeed it was, but it turns out my arm almost got caught and I could feel the fist of the giant impact both ground and a portion of my arm, which made me yelp as I swore I could have broken a bone, but it turns out that it was its damn knuckle that grazed me. So probably I'd be heavily bruised. Slinking up against a wall nearby Chidori I shot an arrow at the Gigas, it landed straight in its chest but it shrugged off the attack like it wasn't a whole lot.
"Ahh! We have to work together to beat this thing!"
All I could do was fling arrows at this thing and hope for the best. Hopefully, with Chidori's support, we could defeat him.

Their cautious approach through the mine allowed Chidori to keep her wits about her, and funnily enough, she wasn't so shocked upon the sight of the Gigas and the oddly-happy Wheel-shadow; she'd faced one of the former before, on her own. It wasn't the most intelligent creature, but it packed a fair punch - if they were agile enough it shouldn't hopefully be too much of a problem.
As Alisa unslung her bow, the mute summoned up her princess-like persona, chocolate brown eyes flickering from one of the shadows to the other. Her friend sprung forward, focusing on the smaller one, leaving Chidori to assess the situation; she didn't like the idea of letting either one get off an attack, and so she would help keep them both at bay whilst she could. Light billowed around Lucia & herself, surging forward in a flash that would hopefully blind as well as damage the two shadows, as the Mahama was enhanced by the glinting pin in her hair. Unfortunately, it only kept them back for a brief moment before they went at it again, beating down on Alisa mercilessly.
Switching her focus to the older woman, a softer glow enveloped her before spreading outwards, healing them both with a gentle warmth. Then she transitioned back onto the offensive with little effort, a tinge of anger in her gaze at the Gigas who dared attack her friend like this. Timing her own attacks just before Alisa's arrows hit, Chidori unleashed wave upon wave of Mahama, holding the Shadow at bay somewhat as it tried to charge forward at them; it was gaining slowly still though, and on a brief whim, Chidori gingerly grabbed hold of Alisa and pulled her sideways just before the Gigas came tumbling through. With its initial target lost, it continued lumbering forward until it smacked into one of the walls of the mine, leaving her with the perfect opening to blast it one last time from behind, dispatching it into the ether.
