Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

”Wa-hahaha. Seriously. This place is a complete mess. If it wasn't for the fact that it seemed like a good place for Shadows, we wouldn't even be here right now. Damn it, so nasty. So dirty. So icky.” One mouth opened and flapped some lips together soundlessly. Those would be the lips of the young lady wandering in the mines. The voice, which sounded almost as though it'd perfectly fit the girl, originated from the phone she carried in her left hand. It sounded natural- no computerized tones, no robotic pauses in syllables, but human in that it was filled with emotion fitting the words that escaped it. It was a perfect match for the girl, and rightfully so, considering that it was artificially intelligent. Truly, the phone was a “smart” phone.
The young lady looked about. Her white silk gloves were slightly blackened despite the lack of contact she had made with. . . well, anything there. Fortunately, there was no such mess on her phone. She hated dirty places. They were filthy and stained everything. Plus, they often ruined everything good she had with her. Her phone was military-plus-grade. That thing was rugged enough to be shot. Still, getting it dirty was annoying. She could only hope that something worth her time appeared. Whether that was a sufficiently entertaining Shadow or a lead was entirely up to fate.

”What the hell is that disgusting scent?” Long before the Gigas appeared, Sayu could smell it, and her thumb input syllables at the speed of light. She lightly retched after wording the phrase- a habit, as she refused to let the phone speak “for” her. The phone was her voice, but it did not speak for her. There was a fine line between the two, and she only reinforced it by the day. Already conjuring her card up, the girl pointed her paintball gun at it. Tamamo was already appearing in a burst of blue flames when the Gigas finally came out into the open. The girl did not even stop to consider the situation. The thing stank. It reeked. It was filth that needed to be dealt with.
”Tamamo, Maragion! Burn it and leave nothing behind!” Certainly, some enemies could nullify or repel elements, but there were two key things to keep in mind at that moment. One, the battle had only just started. This meant that there was no damage to heal, if it absorbed the attack. Nulling it would mean that she wasted energy. Secondly, if the enemy repelled it, she nulled fire, so she stood to lose nothing but the effort. Of course, with the scent it had, the Shadow needed to burn. She was doing it a favor- cleaning it up in the most thorough way possible- purification by flame.
As the kitsune extended a fan and flapped it, a wave of fire shot across the ground, turning the area before the mute and the Persona into a veritable lake of fire. The Shadow flailed about, obviously in pain. That was one successful attack. The Gigas then gave off an aura. Cute. It wanted to try to deal a severe blow? That was all well and good, but it needed to live long enough to get one of those off. Nakano Sayu had no intentions of allowing the beast to live. No, such a disgusting thing needed to burn- and never come within a ten feet radius of her body!
”Tamamo, again! Finish him!” The phone's emotional inflections, learned through constant usage, matched the girl's annoyance with the Shadow. Of course, the kitsune knew full well- after all, it was Sayu, just in another body. And, with a second wave of a fire, the Gigas burned to nothing, not even leaving the filthy black cess-puddles behind.

With the flames consuming everything that had been a part of her enemy, Sayu relaxed. She was pleased that the scent, while even worse at that point, was quickly fading due to the source being cleansed and erased. With the backs of her hands against her waist (with things in her hands, she couldn't place her palms there), she let out a silent laugh, clearly pleased with her triumph. She did want to leave, though. And she would have, if not for the fact that she noticed something. It was a treasure- a spoil of war, dropped by her enemy- and something that could be exchanged for favors. There was just one itty-bitty-teensie-weensie issue.
”Ah, it dropped something. That's nice. But how the hell do I take it?” She blinked to herself, looking from one hand, which just typed out the words, to the other, which held her weapon of self defense. For a good few moments, she swayed in place, thinking to herself. Tamamo still existed in the same general area, but, eventually, she faded. It did take some while, but the girl came to a conclusion that would work for her, as she did not intend on putting the dirty thing in her pocket. With the problem solved, she left to cash her gold.
