Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Holly wasn't even sure why she kept coming back here. She had explored this place to death, there really was no need to keep coming back and yet here she was. It was getting so bad that she had a couple of dreams about exploring the mines.
She supposed it was inaccurate to say she didn't know why she kept coming here. She knew she came here for strength. In the end, it really was the only place that would challenge her without killing her. As irritating and repetitive as this was getting, she knew it was for the greater good.

There was only one this time. Holly sighed, she was going to have to fight more legitimately, which meant this was going to take forever. She mentally cursed her low attack power, and did what she could to raise as she always would. The shadow countered with a buff of its own. This buff emitted a purple glow. She was sure she had seen it before, she rubbed her chin and thought for a moment. Yes, it was the ability that girl used when fighting the reaper. It increased defense. That son of a bitch. Narrowing her eyes, she cast another round of Tarukaja on herself. The shadow responded by casting another round of its buff on itself. Without moving, she cast the final stack of Tarukaja on herself, and the shadow cast the final round of Rakukaja on itself. Unfortunately, for the shadow, Holly had a way of taking care of annoying buffs on enemies. With a small smile, she called Anaisa Pye and used Dekaja to cancel all the buffs on the shadow.
Holly had the upper hand now as long as the shadow didn't have a similar ability. Considering the shadow just continued buffing itself, it likely didn't. If it was going to continue to buff itself until it was at full buffs before it attacked then she would win this easily; all she had to do was cancel them once they were fully stacked. Of course, while the shadow was busy casting those buffs, she would have two rounds to hit it. This should be very straight forward indeed. It took several hits, but the shadow was finally starting to hunch over due to its injuries. A couple more hits should do it! Rather than buffing this time, the shadow pounded its chest and a soothing glow surrounded it. Suddenly, the shadow looked perfectly fine again. It was like she hadn't done anything at all.
"Oh, you have got to me kidding me..." Holly mumbled under her breath.
The battle continued for what felt like another eternity, only for the thing to heal itself again. She had no way to counter that, her attack power was just too low to do enough damage to stop that! If it had energy like she did then it would run out eventually, probably before her considering her wind spell took considerably less energy than her healing spell and that shadow's healing spell was definitely better than hers, but that would take forever. Well...she didn't exactly have any better ideas. As long as it kept turtling and didn't attack she'd escape the mines relatively unscathed again, she'd just want to pass out the second she got home in all likelihood. This was so lame.
Holly wasn't sure how long the battle lasted, but it was at least an hour. It felt longer, but that might have just been from her own boredom. It's not like this thing was actually any threat to her.

The battle was finally over and Holly was exhausted. Normally, she'd just be a little beat up and would just need to heal her wounds a little before she'd feel fine again. This time, she just wanted to pass out on the spot. The battle had used up almost all of her magical reserves just because the damn thing wouldn't die. Swearing under her breath, she made her way out of the mines once again. The trip wasn't too bad, her body felt fine, she was just going to have a nice long nap when she got home, and maybe a nice long, relaxing bath too.
