Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Tristan was sitting against a rock, facing the coast, breathing calmly. He felt good. Life was good. Nothing bad was going to happen. Then he saw his targets. Multiple people riding on jet-skis causing problems for people just trying to relax. It made him sick. Those people were doing nothing but causing problems when there were already enough around. He looked up at the midday sun. Why do people like them get kicks out of stuff like that? He didn't understand it at all. It took everything he had not to grab his scythe and start running at them. The only reason he wasn't was because he didn't want to spend this crisis in jail.
Not only that, but there was someone else coming to help him deal with the problem. He hoped they would be able to handle this calmer than he would. Otherwise, this would probably end in a bloodbath. He sat, waiting, trying to calm himself...

Maria was looking around on the beach. There were many people here. She received some work at the gap. The woman their promised her a nice reward for clearing out some thugs. She was sure she would be fine. They would listen to reason, right? They were human just like the rest of us. She couldn't find them on the coast. Maybe in the water. It was cold in the winter so she wouldn't think that these gang members were in the sea. Maria just kept searching for troublemakers. Once she thought to have found them but it just seemed to be friends kidding around, not really looking for trouble. She eventually saw them riding on jet-skis in the water. They really were causing trouble.
Suddenly she wasn't so sure that they would listen to reason. They looked so tough and strong. She hid her rusty sword in her clothes but she was hoping that she didn't needed those. She knew that she wouldn't stand a chance alone so she first would find her little helper. If the gang was going to do something really out of bounds then she would interrupt in a friendly maner. She was here to stop them, not to bring out a fight.

Tristan heard a person approaching. He decided to keep calm, and try to figure out if this was his promised help or not. After all, it wasn't like he knew who would be helping him. He sighed. This crap is so complicated... He turned to face the incoming person.
"You from the Gap?" He knew this could be the stupidest way to be sure, but he didn't care. The idiots by the water were starting to really get under his skin. He looked at them. "If you're here," he said, talking to the person behind him, "to help me deal with those... People... Let me know now." He felt his grip tighten around the scythe in his hands.

While you were busy staring at the punks in the water, a few of them on land seem to notice you. A few of them are holding blunt objects as they make their way over to you. They seem to be sizing you up before actually saying anything to you. Then, as a few of them snicker in the back, one of the delinquents speaks. Can I help you guys? Or are just constipated or something? A few of them laugh at the awful joke that he made. Tell ya what, bathroom's over there. I'll give ya guys ten seconds to leave. Got it? The delinquent begins handling a baseball bat as he looks at you. Time to decide.

Maria heard someone talking to her behind her. One of those thugs was talking to her. Well that made it easy for her. She wouldn't have to worry about finding the right guys anymore. Now what to do with them. Let's see... She could ask about going away? it wasn't likely it was going to happen but maybe if she came with a good argument. It was worth a try. it would most likely also the only way of solving it without bloodshed. She looked at the baseball bat and took a decision. "Look friend. I ain't here to cause trouble. Please leave or stop bullying people. This doesn't have to end worse then it already is!" She told the punk. Hoping to help the punk to come to it's senses. She kept herself ready to defend herself. Ready to take her blade if he decided to come any closer.

Tristan looked at the punks who decided to try to threaten him. And with a baseball bat, of all things! Tristan started to laugh. He knew the punks would take offense at this, but he didn't care. Still, he heard the other person, the one who had been approaching him earlier, try to reason with them. He sighed. A diplomatic response would be better than the alternative of just shoving a scythe in their face. Yet... A good bargaining chip was always a brilliant idea. He looked at the other, a female, with a wicked gleam in his eye. A diplomatic response would only work if these guys respected their strength. As such, he readied his scythe to attack as soon as the punks would deny her offer to resolve this peacefully.

You rolled a 14 on your negotiation roll. Unfortunately, you needed a 21 to convince them to leave. Too bad.
The punks laugh at you as you try to reason with them. Well, that was never going to work it seemed. Anyway, they decided to attack you. However, while you were negotiating, two punks managed to sneak up behind the both of you and land a surprise attack for moderate strike damage! Looks like its time to fight for real.

Maria sighed and wanted to take her sword out to assist with the negotiation. But then she felt a something striking her back. awww. That hurt. she moved forward drawing out a rusty katana and charged forward the brute in front of her. She attempted to slice him once and jumped to the right immediately after. Whatever happened she must get out of that pincer attack. As long as she can be attacked without hindrance from multiple directions it would be difficult to fight efficiently. She really felt bad about fighting so many people at the same time but it seemed she had no other option. She only hoped help would arrive soon. The lady she received this job from said there would be another boy. But she saw him also getting attacked in the back from another thug. It seemed they each had to defeat three of them. She thought took one down with a well aimed slice earlier, but he still could stand up and wasn't entirely defeated. He was angry though so he charged at her with his baseball bat. he was pretty hurt though and stopped midway. Maria just decided to knock him unconscious with the pommel of her sword as hard she could. He fell unconscious on the ground. One down, two to go! It was a pain she couldn't use pixie, but without it sustaining her she would most likely had fallen down already. This time the one with a knife and the other one with a bat were charging at her. One from the right, the other from the left. She decided to run away from them a few meters, but the just followed the movement. They weren't that stupid but she wasn't about to give up. One of the jerks came closer, the one with the bat. She could block it but felt an immediate pain in her side. The knife user had cut her their. She stepped away from the knife user and placed herself away between the two. She was now facing the bat user and the knife user was running after her. She blocked another attack of the bat swinger, but she immediately stroke him back at his arm. Her attack cut his right arm. It wasn't very nice to see but she didn't had a lot of time about that. That arm was a loss. He wouldn't be able to hit with the bat anymore, so he just threw it away. Maria was just in time to block another attack of the knife user. She was careful about that guy now.
This fight needed to end. One was down the other one could carry his weapon, but the other one hurt Maria. She attacked the knife user with her sword and cut him right in the chest. That one fell on the ground heavily wounded. Meanwhile the other thug grabbed Maria with his left hand. He was planning on choking her. Maria tried to resist and accidentally kicked him in his private quarters. While she wasn't intending to do that it seemed to have saved her. She hit the man as well with the pommel of her sword. When all the three thugs were unable to fight anymore she left to see if the boy needed some help.

Tristan sighed. He knew negotiations would go south. So while the attack from behind caught him off guard, he had been preparing to fight. He looked at the other person, a girl. "Hey!" he yelled, trying to draw her attention. "Use that sword of yours and cut into these idiots!"
He grabbed the scythe and swung. He looked at three of the punks. I'll take out three of these guys... She can take care of the rest! He didn't want to kill them, though, so this fight would be more difficult. He wouldn't be able to use Pyro Jack. Sighing, he brained one punk with the scythe handle. As that guy fell, Tristan jumped to the next one and caught him under the jaw with the end of the handle. He went flying into the third guy, and they crumbled. It's a good thing Pyro makes me stronger even when he isn't around... He then took a defensive stance, ready to assist if needed. He was swung upon by the first guy, the one who apparently didn't fall during the small scuffle. Tristan was hit, but it wasn't anything bad. Tristan decided to fell the punk, sweeping his legs out from underneath him. The guy hit his head on a rock and passed out, perhaps even with a mild concussion. Tristan didn't care, though, as his three were unconscious and the other person had her three down.

It seems you managed to cause a large panic on the beach with your over the top display. A variety of people are beginning to leave the beach out of fear. You also noticed that the cops have shown up. Immediately, they spot you figuring that you must be the cause for alarm considering that the both of you are holding weapons over a group of unconscious people.
Hey! Drop your weapons and put your hands up! The cop begins to chase after you, though he doesn't seem to be armed. What will you do?
Post by Tristan Carter on Feb 23, 2014 0:22:22 GMT -5
Tristan looked at the officer running towards him, and realized what it must look like to him. Well... Fuck. We're screwed. He knew running wouldn't help, and looked at the person who helped him take down the punks. "By the way... My name's Tristan. Nice to meet you."
He looked at the unarmed cop. While running away would just attract attention, staying wouldn't do much good either. He sighed. He had no idea of what to do. Still, at least staying would give him a chance to knock out the cop before he called for back-up. He glanced at the girl who helped him before looking back at the cop. "Sir?" he called out. "Before you try to attack these armed assailants while being unarmed yourself, don't you believe it's in everyone's best interest if you let us explain ourselves first?"

Maria sighed. great, the cops arrived and maybe even thought she killed someone. None of the people she fought was really dead however. She heard to boy introduce himself. "My name is Maria, pleased to meet you too." She answered Tristan. When she heard the boy aside her trying to talk to them she started to think. First she putted the blade of her sword in the sand, but not releasing her grip on the hilt. She first tried to find the right words she wanted to speak and continued where Tristan stopped. "Listen, None of these guys are dead. They attacked us! If you were attacked, wouldn't you defend yourself?" She tried to reason with the cops. Her sword was in a non-active position but Maria could change that any moment. Not that she was planning to.

The hell did you say you little punk? The cop who appeared to be unarmed pulled out a police baton along with a bit of back-up. Why on earth would you think talking back to a cop like that would do you any good? Anyway, you sustain quite a few hits from the cops as they easily detain you. From there, you're taken back to the station for questioning.
After a few hours in a cell, a disgruntled cop comes in to tell you that you're free to go. You later learn that the Strange Blonde Woman covered for you, bailing you out of jail. Though, she made note to don't do something stupid like that again. Though, upon returning to The Gap, you are rewarded for the mission.
Mission accomplished!
You received your reward: Elemental/Physical Boost Trinket of choice
