Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Well, it was that time of week again. Holly decided to go around the outside to look for new areas to explore. She knew there was one in the hospital, so at least she wouldn't have to go to the mines again, but she was still curious to see how much progress the other users made. It looked like there were two new areas: one on the hospital that she unlocked and one in the executive building. There might have been more in the sewers, but she wasn't about to check herself. Just to sate her curiosity, she decided to check the outskirts of the areas that she thought would have been too much for her previously. Much to her surprise, the shadows in that sinkhole didn't feel nearly as strong anymore. It looks like her repetitive training in the mines finally paid of...just as new areas were opening up. Figures.
Regardless, she had a new place to explore with even stronger shadows than before. Life was good and she was pretty pleased with herself. Holly still remained cautious since these shadows were stronger than what she was used to, but she still couldn't stop grinning. For now, she would take what looked like a fairly safe path from the top, down as far as she could go. She could explore the place in more detail later, for now she just wanted to get a feel for it.

One shadow. In her experience the ones that moved alone tended to be much stronger than the ones that moved in groups. It also meant that she couldn't use her usual strategy of using shadow meatshields to augment her terrible ability to hit things. Irritating, but she was still pretty sure she could win. The terrain was dangerous though, so she'd have to watch that. If it pushed her around too much she might fall off the edge.
Holly wanted to open up with Tarukaja as usual just because it felt ridiculously awesome, but she understood that weakening her enemies was unquestionably better now that she had Debilitate. Without a moment's hesitation, she cast a single stack of it on the shadow. The shadow responded by hurling the biggest fireball she had ever seen right into her face. Her debuff slowed the shadow down, but it wasn't quite enough for her to completely dodge the fireball. Though, rather than it hitting her face it hit her in the shoulder instead. It hurt a lot, but she was still standing. She wasn't sure how many of those she could actually take...
Regardless, it was time to counterattack! Even if it was hard to get excited about attacking after that. Her own attack spell was significantly less impressive, and she had long given up trying to make something so pathetic look cool when she was on her own. Almost boredly, she called forth her persona and was horrified to find out that it didn't do anything. Well great, her pathetic attack didn't do anything, so now she was going to have to use an even more pathetic attack? When it could hit that hard? That could be really bad. The shadow sent another fireball at her face, and once again, she was not quite fast enough to dodge it.
She was definitely not going to finish it before it finished her at this rate. The cliff. Yes, that was probably her best bet. With a pained smirk, she charged at the shadow, slamming her knives and her body into it in an attempt to push it off the edge. It went great, better than she could have even hoped. The shadow squealed and was practically helpless for a moment. That moment was enough for her to send it into the abyss. She carefully watched as it descended to make sure it didn't cling onto anything. Eventually, it just vanished into the hole out of her sight.

Now that she was free from the fireball throwing menace, she healed herself a few times, still peering over the cliff. That really was a long way down. She almost felt bad for the shadow. As she looked over the edge, she saw something strange sticking out of the side of the cliff. Even after extracting it she knew it was something for weapons, but she wasn't quite sure what it did. Well, she could figure it out later, there was no reason not to pocket it now.
Overall, she still felt pretty good despite getting pelted with high level spells. Holly decided to explore a little while longer before leaving. It just felt so good to finally be out of those mines.
