I Found Some Stuff (Scavenge)

Kyle stared dubiously at the paper Phoebe had given him. The instructions were clear, as was the address. Was this place really where he could get some cash from trading in salvaged goods? She had warned him that it might feel off but she hadn't specified how weird it would be.

Kyle huffed, picked up the duffel bag of junk he'd collected on his first excursion and walked into the shop. He'd had a couple of fights with Shadows and he was a bit battered up, but happily, he'd come out on top in the end. Sitri was a powerful Persona and he was confident he'd be tearing through Shadows in no time. He hauled the bag on his shoulder and went in.

He couldn't help scowling. He did it all the time when he was uncomfortable.

"Hey, lady. I heard you pay for junk. I brought some stuff," he said dryly, laying the bag on the table. "'s it worth anything?"

This time around, Kyle'd gone scavenging in the abandoned executive building in the outskirts. Phoebe had told him he could get some good scraps there that would go for a pretty fair price over at the blonde lady's. He'd been there, had a few damn good fights with Shadows and come out of it with no less than a big duffel bag of salvaged computer components and office supplies.

All in all, he was quite pleased with himself when he went to junk dealer and dropped the heaving bag on the table with a wide, happy grin that belay all the scratches, scrapes and bumps he'd taken.

"Evening. Pay up little lady," he said.

On his third visit to the salvage lady, Kyle had a pretty nice pile of booty to trade in. He'd been busy the week prior and he made up by saving stuff he'd salvaged over those two weeks. He'd been to plenty of places: the deserted executive buildings, the museum, the old factory, even down in the sewers and into some abandoned banks. He had a pretty big haul which he started unloading from the wheelbarrow he'd taken. He put the best bits he'd found on the table.

"Well then, what can I get for all this?"

Kyle dragged along the junk he'd found to the dealer, mentally going through his chores for the day. Once he finished with his errands here in the Gap he had to go browsing for some coffee varieties to replenish the bookstore's stock, now that their original supplier had gone out of business. He had taken it as a matter of personal pride to scout out a new supplier with the best quality coffee he could get.

Then he absently thought that he hadn't seen many familiar faces at the bookstore lately, besides Phoebe and CJ. He supposed that people were still bouncing back from the last full moon battle. He wondered if that girl with the sharp eyes would come by again - Alisa. He kind of liked what she was all about.

He yawned as he elbowed open the door to the junk dealer's open and dragged in his bag of loot, clinking and clacking with the stuff he'd brought in to trade.

"Evenin' lady," he said. "I've got some stuff for ya."

Kyle was unusually bored as he dragged some junk over to the Gap. He'd collected a higher amount than usual this time around - maybe he'd have to start asking Phoebe to give him lifts in her car. There was a lot of junk salvaged from the executive building, from the barren Shadowlands and a few trinkets from the Museum. He'd actually made quite a habit of locating abandoned cars in the Shadow lands and salvaging them for whatever he could get; batteries were really good, he either sold them to repair-shops in the city or brought them to the junk dealer lady. Car batteries were useful, but it took some careful doing to get them.

"S'up," he said lazily as he pushed the door open. "Got stuff for ya."

The next time Kyle went by the Junk Dealer's, he was unusually quiet and subdued. But Lord was he angry. It oozed off him like an aura of doom. His expression was frozen into a hard frown that made him look particularly fierce and his eyes were fostering a frozen, steely expression. He wasn't in the mood to talk today. He'd come for business and that was all.

He stopped the in front of the door, shouldered it open and then put down the heavy sacks of things he was carrying. He glared at the blond woman for a moment but then his expression twitched, in an attempt to not look like he was here to murder someone.

"Just give me my money so I can go," he said bluntly.

Another week, another visit to the Junk Dealer chick. Last time he'd been here, he was fresh off the news about Vice and he was pissed out of his mind. This time around he was still angry but it didn't roil off him like so much steam. But it was evident in his stony expression and the way he just stomped into the small joint, carrying an almost absurdly large burlap sack full of junk he'd collected from the executive building and the old car factory. Both were pretty darn 'fertile' grounds for junk collecting.

"Hey. Brought some things as usual. What can you give me for these?"

It'd been another week since he had last visited the junk dealer lady. Kyle dragged the broken wheelbarrow after him, grumbling that he was going to need a new one. It had broken while he was escaping an annoying ambush by three pretty powerful Shadows on his way out of the Western Ruins. It was an annoying inconvenience that he was going to have to deal with later. He was pretty sure he could fix the broken axle of the wheel but it was going to take time and effort.

He huffed and stopped in front of the junk dealer shop, pushing open the door with his shoulder in order to waddle in backwards, dragging the wheelbarrow with him.

"S'up," he said and yawned. "Got stuff for you."
