Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Jaelyn had to wonder, as she wandered around the sewers, just what the hell she was doing here. There were other places where shadows cropped up in large numbers, so why had she ended up in the sewers of all places?! Was it just laziness? Because if it was, she needed to punch herself later for ever thinking that wandering around a maze of underground tunnels full of waste was easier than just walking all the way to that huge office building.
...Well, she was there now. Unhappily, but still there. Might as well make something of it. Maybe stabbing shadows over and over would block out her annoyance. Along with the horrible smell.

As if the smell wasn't already bad enough, a shadow soon came crawling out of the muck. It stood up to its full height, easily twice that of Jaelyn, revealing something that looked like a muscle-bound man made of metal, painted in a sickly bloody red with sewage running off of it. Ick. No way was Jaelyn about to let that thing touch him. She summoned Andras, buffing herself with the speed-enhancing skill she had discovered after experiencing it during the fight at the school. The sewage man, as she was going to refer to the shadow from then on, then did the same thing, except it seemed to be enhancing its strength. This continued two more times, with Jaelyn becoming faster and the sewage man becoming stronger. She was playing a dangerous game. Any hits she took at that point would be all kinds of bad news. But where was the fun in playing it safe? She'd done a good enough job avoiding attacks against the cleaver girl shadow, at any rate.
She attacked, summoning Andras to launch a fireball at the sewage man. It took the attack square in the chest, burning some of the sewage off and damaging it. One fireball wasn't nearly enough to put it down though, as it charged headlong toward her. Jaelyn easily dodged, letting the shadow crash straight into the wall. She launched another fireball at it, hitting it a second time before it could recover. It then extended its fingers to open its hand flat, then closed the distance between them and thrust them forward at her. While the shadow's spearhand punched through the wall Jaelyn managed to dodge again, but in the process managed to end up in the sewage the shadow had emerged from.
Getting out of it as quickly as she could, she looked down at herself. Her entire lower body was now soaked in the filth, leaving her clothes possibly ruined and herself now having the horrid smell of months-old shit clinging to her. "You just stepped on a bigass fucking land mine," she hissed at the shadow, summoning Andras again. A glowing spear materialized in the owl-headed demon's hand, with which it ran the sewage man through. Something took hold as soon as it did, causing the shadow to kneel in the sewage it had emerged from, bowing its head to Jaelyn.
Jaelyn let out a low, unsettling laugh as she saw what the sewage man did. "Finally figured out your place, huh?" she asked. With a pull of her evoker's trigger, Andras materialized behind her once again. "Well, too late. I'm not forgiving you. Since you seem to like months-old sewage so much..." Dark, toxic-looking clouds began to gather around the sewage man, slowly engulfing it, "I'm going to feed you to it." All at once, the dark clouds converged on the shadow, bombarding it from all sides with corrosive dark energy. It began to dissolve as the dark attack faded, giving the appearance of melting into the sewage.
