Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
It had been one of those days where she would relax at the district today. The weather was nice and sunny, it might've been raining down gold for all she cared. Children ran past her as they played tag with not a care in the world. Young teenagers were playing basketball in the basketball court and some adults were drinking coffee near the coffee shop. It was certainly a pleasant sight to see after battling some Shadows in the Shadowlands and picking up some trash in the outer circle. Not that the junk lady cared about receiving said trash from her. A lone bench presented a grand opportunity to just relax and read a book to herself which was one her fantasy novels involving knights in shining armor and dragons. She sat down at a bench and took out her novel. She began to read while the sound of basketballs bouncing on the court invaded her ears. Well, so much for having some quiet time after that. She figured that someone would come meet her soon, or something terrifying like a stalker of some sort. The thought of meeting a stalker seemed unlikely as the city had the police to take care of criminals like serial killers.

Sakuya had been leaning by a tree at the district this entire time. When people would normally come here to go birdwatching, Sakuya would come here to go chickwatching. Yuck, guys playing basketball... Sakuya much preferred it when women played basketball. She admitted to getting a dirty kick out of watching a certain basketball anime featuring incredibly underage girls. She looked around her surroundings a little bit and soon, spotted in the distance, a young girl with blisteringly beautiful blue hair, sitting down at a bench and then taking out a book, before starting to read it. Intrigued by what she saw, Sakuya had deftly hid behind each tree, getting closer and closer to the young girl reading her book.
She literally looked like a princess. Well, holy shit. A real life princess? Come on, this isn't some video game now, is it~? Sakuya thought to herself as she started to creep up behind the girl reading her book, sitting by the bench. After a few moments of uninterrupted silence... She struck.
Sakuya had peeked up from behind, peering over the girl's shoulder.
"What'cha reading, Princess~?" she asked.

"Well, it's a novel about a knight slaying a dragon and getting the fair damsel as his bride." she responded, but she gasped in surprise. A dark-haired female had sneaked up behind her and peered over her shoulder, apparently quite curious as to what she was reading herself. Did she hear about this woman in the news somewhere? If so, she would've heard about some serial killer who killed criminals for hired work. Never mind that this woman was a serial killer herself, she seemed quite flirtatious to her. Perhaps, the dark-haired female liked women better than men which was surprising. She hadn't met any homosexuals before, but this woman was no exception to this assumption. And dear god, did she sense stalker vibes from this seemingly harmless woman. Not good. Not good at all. And yet, she was willing to stay and talk to the woman. Yes, that would be a good idea. Speaking to a presumed lover of women and girls of course.

"Oh, so you're reading those kinds of stories. People try to romanticize the exploits of men too much, it's disgusting," Sakuya scoffed as she whirled around and sat on the bench close to the girl, yet not right next to her. "You don't mind if I sit here, miss~? I'm sorry if I'm being a trite intrusive. It's not very often one catches their sights on a princess with such a youthful, sporting look as yours, you know?" she continued. "I mean... you are a princess, right, honey?" Sakuya just had to make sure that this girl was the real deal, you know, a genuine, not, like, you know, those goddamn phonies and fakers who did it just for the attention. Not that it would detract from this particular specimen's attractiveness or anything. It just wasn't a big turn on. I'm sure most NORMAL people would actually get it. Even if Sakuya is in a whole new level of her own.

"I don't mind, ma'am. You may sit next to me if you wish. As for your second question, I am one born to the imperial family if that counts." she responded. Welp, the secret was out as the dark-haired woman was the one who asked anyway. She figured she was harmless, so she'll let her barrier down a bit. Besides, how many people had an aura of crazed stalker in their lifetime? None whatsoever. From what she heard from the female vixen, she hated stories that make men's exploits too romantic for her own standards. She couldn't blame her of course. Most men did all the work anyway. And it was quite demeaning to women in that time too. She wondered what reaction would she elicit from the busty lady herself. Seriously, she wouldn't kidnap her and take her away where no one would ever find her, right? Now that she thought about it, the dark-haired female looked like a Succubus to her. Even so, men would just love a woman with big boobs like those. Much to the woman's chagrin however, she preferred women.

Sakuya, looked at the princess for a moment, she really did say she was born to the imperial family, so she wasn't lying at all, right? Anyway, she was pretty outlandish herself, so no reason to doubt her words at all. Sakuya smiled. "I see. You're quite pretty, milady~" she started, moving herself a little closer to the girl of royal lineage. "Would you be willing to bestow this 'peasant' with a name? I'm just a regular old Sakuya." At this rate, Sakuya would be finding many possible... targets, so to speak, of her affections, indeed. Mosaic City was turning out to be a better place than she initially thought. It was going to be great.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sakuya. I am Isolde." she responded. And when Sakuya had called her pretty, she faintly blushed. And this compliment actually came from a woman, something that she hadn't heard from until now. Was this woman trying to hit on her? She could tell that the dark-haired female didn't take rejection well as were a number of girls who were just bonkers for a pretty girl they just met for literally five minutes. And yet, this vixen's words dripped with very creepy affection for her. Perhaps, she was targeted simply for her looks which was not good. Even then, she found herself just outright composed when talking to the woman. All she could do was to try to placate her tastes back. Besides, she was friendly enough and wouldn't do anything to hurt her, right? She added, "Why, thank you. You're quite beautiful if I do say so myself."

Sakuya blushed. Not very many people complimented her on her own looks. Usually they would just go straight to the creepy insults. Not this one, apparently. Let's see how this one goes. "Do you think so, Madame Isolde? Mmm..." Sakuya fidgeted demurely. "Thank you... Might I ask, though... How is your day going today, dear? Is everything doing fine for you?" Sakuya figured just to start with the small talk first. She could deal with any complications coming up along the way when they did come up along the way. Keep it calm. It's not like she wouldn't lose out on anything if Isolde decided to leave. Also, Sakuya gave Isolde absolutely no reason to leave - she hadn't done anything outrightly creepy except sneak up on her, and she was being as polite as she could to someone deserving of it, anyway. She was royalty after all.

Everything was fine, huh. Satisfactory answer. Worked for Sakuya. If it wasn't, she'd need to dig deeper into the matter. Isolde seemed to have a cool head on her shoulders, because she was probably thinking many different things right now. No matter, for Sakuya, it was all the same. And soon, the princess asked Sakuya back in return, how she was doing. "My day is going absolutely fine indeed," she said. "Thanks for asking, Madam..." Sakuya smiled and looked up at the sky. Something told her that maybe some deeper subjects could be discussed. "Miss Isolde, if you come from the royal family or something, what would you be doing in a place like this? Are you on the run from something? Got into an arranged marriage you didn't like? Heh...~"

Social Darwinism? What sense would applying 'survival of the fittest' and 'natural selection' to politics even make? I guess, if you had to look at it one way, 'natural selection' would typically lead to those with smarts and power being at the top, but... Usually, in practice, only those with power stayed at the top... Sakuya mused to herself as she realized Isolde said she was exiled for disagreeing to those ideals. Which sounded a little weird to her. But again, no point in questioning it right now at the moment. "I see. That's certainly quite a story to behold from just one statement," Sakuya nodded. "Do you have any intentions of returning, or making a political comeback, or something, once... You know, the stuff on the news all blows over and we're out of this rut?"
Sakuya knew though, that she had to make her impressions before all of this was over.

"I do have an intention of making a comeback and ascending the throne by force if necessary." she responded to the woman's question. That was true if the crisis was over and she could make plans to return home. It was certain that those principles had always befit her grandfather in some way. He had believed that the subjects he ruled over oppress the weak which was instilled into the minds of his loyal followers. She believed that she could change that and abolish some of his tyrannical laws. Maybe the entire world needed a little change in their lifetime. The world could be shaped based on her own ideals and principles. Was Sakuya just asking that question just so she could make a good impression on her? Whatever charm she instilled into her words, it was working somewhat. The one thing in her gut feeling was to run away at the first sight of a stranger, but maybe it wasn't so bad. As long she could placate the woman, she could avoid being harmed in any grotesque way possible.

"I see," Sakuya nodded. "So you would be willing to start a revolution, if you thought you needed to." She admired the spunk of this young lady, that she had ideals, a belief, to cling to. It's a good thing she hasn't lost those ideals yet. Well, she hadn't done anything to elicit a particularly creepy response from Sakuya, so for now, this Isolde was safe. "I think... it's good to have ideals. Well, as long as you don't let them blind you. It's different from me. I had nothing of the sort to begin with. I'm more of an impulsive kind. It doesn't help that I... harbor a lot of resentful memories. They're fairly unpleasant." Sakuya sighed and looked at the princess. "I wish you luck in your endeavours, in any case."

"Thank you. Do you have any hobbies you do in your spare time, Sakuya?" she asked. And a revolution would be good if her grandfather refused to give up the throne and just high tail out of there. There was a possibility of...killing him off, but then she would be executed for that. No worries as her Chinese knight of the Round would protect her from any execution she was to face for outright murdering the emperor himself. Now was the time to shift the conversation a little. She wondered if the woman had any hobbies she would like to talk about. Probably doing creepy reactions was what she did best. Was that a hobby of hers or was there another? Either way, she wouldn't consider that as a hobby, just something the woman did to potential victims at night. At least, it was good that she hadn't elicited any creepy reactions from Sakuya at all.

"Hobbies I do in my spare time... Well, I do believe I started to get into video games once I saw everybody else around was playing them," Sakuya nodded, tilting her head upwards and rubbing her own chin. "Some of them can be fun, some others... Not so much. That aside, I consider it a frivolous time waster. It can help if you want to do something brainless and forget about things. Otherwise, I enjoy long walks out in the park... Or the beach, which I do believe I haven't been to yet here... I guess I also read books, but I'm picky with what I read. I have some... criteria." she continued, fidgeting. "I guess, at the end of the day, I simply do what I want. Freedom has its benefits, you know. But... I guess it also has its associated opportunity costs."

Chess, huh. Sakuya was alright at chess. Not an incredibly high leveled player, but she was far from novice. Sakuya blamed her days in front of the computer looking for clients and simultaneously playing online chess. "Well, I can't say I can think less of a person for reading books I dislike," Sakuya said. Which was true. While she did dislike the typical 'damsel in distress is saved by the knight in shining armor' stories if the knight was male, because not only was it archetypal and archaic, but also involved males... She couldn't just suddenly dismiss Isolde to being inferior simply because she enjoyed reading that kind of book. It didn't mesh well with Sakuya. "...But I can say that I also do play chess occasionally. Though I'm only a player of average skill. You might be able to beat me quite easily. I'm not that great..."
