Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

This place sure was eerie. The tunnels faded into complete darkness within several feet, leaving Layla with very little idea where she was going. She had taken what she thought was a straight path, but now she wasn't so sure. It didn't feel like she was going the same way anymore, even though she couldn't remember turning at all or taking any side paths. Was she just imagining things because of the darkness? Or had she actually managed to get turned around somehow?
"Maybe I should go back," she said, glancing back down the tunnel behind her. If she was going straight, then going back would take her back to the entrance eventually. Otherwise...well, she'd just be even more lost. But it was the best option she had. "Yeah, I'll go back." So she turned around, and started on what would be a several minute trek back toward what she hoped was the entrance.

Lots of vaguely humanoid shadows today. This one was more abstract and mechanical than the wrestler shadow, but Layla still recognized the design. She had seen one of those in the car factory. A machine shadow with a defined head and torso, but with rotating three-legged wheels and large clubs for arms. Only instead of clubs, it seemed to have hollow metal pipes. Although what purpose they served was a mystery...at least until it started spinning in place and spraying dust clouds out of the pipes. Almost immediately the shadow managed to cloak itself behind the dust cloud. It would be harder to hit that way...but not much harder. Other than spinning, it still couldn't move that fast. Layla summoned Yamantaka, calling down a bolt of lightning on the location where the shadow had just been. And sure enough, it was still there.
It seemed to be weak to lightning too, as evidenced by the fact that the sounds of its engine sputtered, then stopped entirely for several seconds before starting up again. Blades emerged from the dust cloud as it retaliated, cutting through the closed space of the mine tunnel. Layla was caught up in the attack before she could get away, and instead chose to stand her ground and call down another lightning strike. This one clearly missed, though, as the machine shadow soon emerged from the cloud right in front of her at the end of its attack. Its engine roared, as though revving up, then a heavy physical blow from somewhere above crashed down on Layla. Without her persona, she could tell it would have been a knockout blow. But she was still standing, and still able to summon Yamantaka again. Another bolt of lightning came down through the roof of the tunnel, crashing down on the shadow and obliterating it.
