Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Holly had explored a lot of the easy to get to areas now. That meant that today it was time to get off of the easy trail and onto the more precarious places of the sinkhole. The food holds were narrower, the paths were steeper, there were cliffs everywhere and sometimes she had to do a bit of climbing to get anywhere at all. It was certainly more interesting than just walking on the nice, easy path down. Granted, it would be harder to fight shadows like this. She hoped that she wouldn't run into any, but she knew that was overly optimistic. It was always a matter of time before they found her.
Unsurprisingly, the shadow that found her could fly. It descended slowly from the top of a nearby cliff she was hanging onto. The footing was poor, she practically had to hug the wall to not fall over, there weren't many good handholds either, and her opponent could fly. This was less than ideal. The cupid fluttered down to her eye level, though it was still a fair distance from the girl, flying over the abyss below it rather than worrying about finding any solid ground below it like Holly had to. Holly clicked her tongue, this was going to be difficult.
Unless...
Rather than attack the shadow normally, she aimed her shitty wind attack to the side of the shadow in an attempt to cut off its wings instead. She wasn't much of a fighter in this regard, but even her terrible attack power was enough to blow through a paper thin wing. The shadow stumbled and started twirling wildly. It was having difficulty flying straight, but it looked like the one wing was enough to keep it up for now. The shadow took its bow and fired its own shot. An arrow with a bubbling, purple aura around it flew straight for her chest. There was little she could do to get out of the way because of the poor footing, so the best she could do was put her arm in front of her chest and brace herself. The arrow went right through her left forearm, but her arm was far enough forward that it managed to not hit her chest. The skin around the wound turned purple for a brief moment before returning to normal; the color disappeared along with the arrow.
With one more summon of her persona, she clipped the shadow's wings and it very quickly started to descend into the darkness, unlike that nice, slow decent it was having when it first showed itself to her.
Well, that could have gone worse. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be anything interesting up here beyond how awesome the climb itself was. There was always something exciting about climbing rocks, so it's not like today was completely wasted.
Holly made her way down the side of the cliff and onto the safer path again. She decided to explore a little bit longer, but she was feeling pretty satisfied with her excursion today. Most of her exploration would be checking out the nooks and crannies that she found on her way back up the path to the exit of this place.
