Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Layla had passed this sinkhole multiple times. 'Devil's Descent', as some of the other Persona-users called it. The first few times, she could immediately sense as she started down the path into the darkness that the shadows within were too strong for her. Now, however, she figured that she could take them, so long as she didn't go too deep in.
Fortunately, there was a safe path down into the depths, allowing her a safe, careful descent. Normally, such a thing wouldn't matter to her. But she was starting to learn the fine line between being daring and reckless. She could still have exciting adventures with her life on the line without being almost suicidal.

Dancers of light and darkness appeared. One of them held out a hand to Layla. A hand...holding a rapier. Yeah, that wasn't an offer to dance. Layla headed off their attack with a localized lightning storm, dropping bolts of electricity on the both of them. They responded with attacks of darkness and light, which washed over Layla to little and no effect respectively. Layla followed it up with a light-based attack of her own, badly damaging the dark dancer while doing nothing to the light one. Both of them responded by stabbing at Layla. One hit harder than the other, but the latter managed to poison her. With a sample of Amrita, however, Layla managed to cure the poison instantly, then moved to finish off the badly damaged dark dancer with a strike from her new and improved otta. Once it was taken care of, the remaining dancer tried to stab Layla again, but she caught the dancer's weapon with her own. Her Persona raised its arms again, calling down another lightning strike on it. The dancer then shuffled back, sending a blast of fire at Layla. Layla closed the distance between the two of them, leaping and striking at the closest thing to a proper vital point she could find on the shadow. It attempted, once more, to blast Layla at fire, but couldn't damage her enough to prevent her from striking again, finishing it off.

And that was that. For a new area that had seemed so dangerous not too long ago, the last fight hadn't been so bad...although part of that may have just been a good matchup. The dancers had specialized in light and darkness, both of which could do very little to Layla.
She summoned Vajrabhairava again to heal herself a little bit, then turned to start making her way deeper down the path. She doubted that she would get all the way to the bottom on the first trip, but so long as she was still in good condition, she wanted to get as far as she could. After all, the moon was starting to grow full yet again. She would have to prepare for that to the best of her ability in what time she had left.
