Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Layla couldn't deny that she was a little bit nervous. Okay, more than a little. She was starting to get used to the battles under the full moon, even as they got harder and more dangerous each time. But this? This was a matter of scale. The sheer size of what they were supposed to take down, as evidence by the strange blonde lady's description about having to climb it, was far beyond anything Layla had experienced thus far. Well...aside from the quarter mile deep sinkhole, at least.
But at the same time, taking on a colossus of a shadow was just so exciting!
Layla had made it to the outskirts in one piece, at least. The random rabbles of shadows, at least outside of the sinkhole and the highest floors of the hospital, were easy to handle by this point. She waited for her partner (because if the car factory mission or the subway mission needed a partner, then something like this definitely did) atop an outcrop formed from the remains of a ruined building. From that point, she could see over some of the nearer, shorter buildings along the outskirts, allowing her to keep a lookout for their target. Once or twice, she caught sight of what seemed to be a massive silhouette in the distance, but nothing so concrete as to definitely be their target.
For the moment, all she could do was wait and keep watch.

Luka made her way to the designated meeting spot for the mission that she had undertaken. Yet again, the blonde woman had her doing some ridiculous task that was clearly out of the ordinary. This time, it seemed that her target was a gigantic shadow of sorts. She wasn't exactly what was considered "gigantic" but Luka took her words with a grain of salt. The past few missions that she had undertaken were quite dangerous as she recalled, but something that massive would call for more than two people, right?
On that thought, the girl reached her destination where she spotted the girl who was likely going to be her partner for the mission. Hello. I suppose you are to be my partner for the mission? My name is Luka, by the way. She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly. Then, looking out into the distance, she tried looking for something that resembled their target. It shouldn't have been hard to miss, right? Well then, I suppose our target is somewhere out there? It was suppose to be easy to find according to the blonde lady. But, just how easy would that be?

The two of you meet up in the middle of the outskirts of the city, yet nothing seems to catch your eye. Not immediately at least. But then off in the distance, you spot the shadow that you're looking for. Without a doubt, you can tell that this is the one you're looking for. The shadow somehow appeared out of nowhere. It remains a mystery as to how this happened as there was no way that you could miss such a thing.
The shadow itself seems to be a good distance away, but clearly looks as if it's the size of a large building. The shadow is a quadruped, moving almost in slow motion. Despite its slow movements, it is clearly covering a significant amount of ground! As you recall, the woman said you would need to climb the creature itself if you wanted to reach the top. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to require a straight climb. Several outcroppings in the shadow seem to be usable as "resting spots" should you need them. Regardless, it is looking to be a long climb.
With that in mind, you best hurry towards that shadow and start climbing, am I right?

Soon enough, the girl who was to be Layla's partner showed up. Layla recognized her from the last few full moons. If she was remembering right, the girl had incredibly strong offensive skills, easily dwarfing her own. She had started to get used to be one of the stronger and more experienced members of whatever group she ended up working with, so working with someone much stronger than her would be...interesting, to say the least. Layla nodded to Luka. "Nice to meet you, Luka. I'm Layla. And yes, I'll be working with you on this one. I'll try not to drag you down too much," she said.
She then turned back to look out over the nearby buildings again, just in time to hear Luka ask about their target. "I hope so. I thought I saw it awhile ago, but now I don't see anything," She said. The blonde lady had said it would be easy to find. And of course, it would have to be, with how big it supposedly was. But for there to be no sign of it...
Then, there it was. As though it had just materialized out of thin air, it was there, easily looming over the smaller buildings despite its considerable distance away. "Well, guess that answers that," Layla said, deciding not to comment on the fact that there was no way they could possibly have missed something of that size before. "Guess we should get started. Let's go!" Layla said excitedly, sliding down from her perch and taking off toward the shadow. They were going to have to climb it, so ideally there wouldn't be any trouble with approaching it. ...Well, except for the risk of getting stepped on, but it was the risk that made it fun.

As she approached, she started trying to plan out a path up the shadow. Climbing it would be a challenge to say the least, especially when it was moving, but there did seem to be places she could stop and rest on the way up. So, setting her sights on one of those on the nearest leg, she waited for it to come down near where she was approaching and started trying to make her way up.1-20

The girl introduced herself as Layla. She had seen the girl numerous times on the nights of the full moon. As she recalled, the girl possessed a few support as well as offensive abilities. Something balanced to complement her full offensive arsenal. This was good. Though, the comment she made just after greeting her threw Luka off a bit. D-Drag me down. . . Did this girl really consider herself that strong? Well, she was among the few users capable of exploring the most dangerous areas in the outer circle, but was it that obvious?
Luka looked out into the distance for a bit in hopes of spotting the shadow. Though, she had no such luck. It wasn't until Layla pointed out their target that Luka first saw it. What she saw was nothing like what she imagined. It was huge. They needed to climb that thing? This probably isn't the best time to mention that I'm afraid of heights.
When Layla ran off towards the shadow, Luka followed right behind. As she recalled, they would literally need to climb this thing to the top, right? Hopefully this wouldn't be too hard. As she ran towards the shadow, her idea of just how big it was became more accurate. With each step it took, the girl felt even more intimidated. Here goes nothing. Running towards on of the shadow's legs, the girl grabbed on and began to climb.

Thankfully, the surface of the shadow was easy to grip making for "easy" climbing, if it could be considered that. On that thought, the girl looked up at the ascent that she would need to take. It was quite a ways up; quite a ways down.

As you approach the shadow, the two of you grab on and begin to climb the thing. Luckily, the two of you manage to keep your grip long enough to make some actual progress up the shadow. Making it about halfway up the shadow's leg, the two of you stop on an outcropping on the shadow. You managed to get a bit of a rest so that you can continue up. However, as you're resting, strange tentacles come out from the the surface of the shadow and begin to attack. At the same time, a few shadow birds swoop down from the top of shadow and begin to attack as well!

Despite several near falls, they managed to get about halfway up before needing to rest. Layla started squeezing her hands to loosen them up a bit, but stopped as she noticed tentacles emerging from the massive shadow to surround them. As they did, a pair of birds dropped down from somewhere up above. Presumably, they had been roosting at the top. Birds, at least, she could easily deal with. Every one she had encountered thus far was weak to lightning. Tentacles? She had no idea what to expect, so it was probably better to leave them to the one who could just drop a metaphorical magic nuke on them.
"I'll deal with these two. Can you handle the tentacles?" Layla said, standing back up and summoning the towering, many-armed figure of Vajrabhairava behind her. She turned her attention on the birds, calling down a lightning strike on the nearest of them. Sure enough, the attack hit an obvious weakness, and very nearly made it fall out of the sky. It hung on long enough to spit a very large fireball at Layla. Layla took it, in part to avoid letting Luka get hit by anything she managed to avoid, but in doing so found herself in the path of a dive bomb attack from the other bird. The bird's talons slashed through her leg, forcing her right back to the ground. It would be bearable, so long as she healed it afterward, but for now she couldn't afford to hold back. Drop one bird so that she wasn't taking two attacks at once, then deal with the other. She called down a second lightning strike on the injured bird, finishing it off. The healthy bird then hammered her with another fireball.
Trying her best to ignore the pain, Layla reached for her weapon. Once it was in her hand, she forced herself back to her feet and called down another lightning strike on the second bird. Much like the first, it managed to stay in the air, somehow, after the first strike, and dive bombed her. This time, Layla struck back the moment it hit, taking more damage to give her a clear shot at it. She snapped the metal knob of her otta into the base of its wing, crippling it and sending it spiraling down to the ground.

Luka began to climb the shadow's leg, making sure she had a good grip on it each time she began to ascend. Physical exertion was certainly not her strong suit. Instead, she found herself struggling to climb up while at the same time trying to not look down. She was afraid of heights, after all. And despite all of these issues that she had, the girl still managed to reach the platform with only a little difficulty. Dropping onto the platform, the girl began to breathe heavily.So. . . high. . . As she rested, she noticed several tentacles come from the platform they were on. Then to make matters even worse, a few birds came down to attack them. From the sounds of it, the girl decided that she would take care of the birds, leaving her with the tentacles. Why did it have to be tentacles again.
Tentacles seemed to have it out for the girl going by the last few run-ins with various enemies. And now she was here fighting four of them. They seemed to be too spread out for her to use her dark attack effectively. It seemed to be a better idea to simply use her ice attack instead. Hel! Willing Hel to her side, the girl used Mind Charge to prepare herself for her attack. Meanwhile, the tentacles did their work. One of them tried to blast her with a wind attack which she narrowly dodged. Only, as she did she was grabbed by a tentacle, then another, and another. Slowly, they began to constrict around her and began to drain her spirit energy. Not agaaaaaain. Quickly, the girl willed an ice attack over the group, freezing them in their tracks. Deja vu.
Shattering the tentacles, the girl got back up and looked towards Layla. L-Let's keep moving before more tentacles show up. And with that, she began to climb the shadow once more. Resting was nice. But resting wasn't worth the risk of dealing with tentacles.

After clearing the platform, you decide to continue upward. This time, there isn't much of an issue getting up as you slowly reach the top of the shadow. The wind seems quite strong given how high up you are. Now all that seems to be left is to take out the weak spot on its head.
The two of you begin to run up the shadow's back until you reach a glowing symbol on top of its head. Guess you better start blasting at it. Only, as you do, a seemingly endless horde of bats begin to flow out of the colossus' sides!

Looks like you'll need to deal with the bats as you take out that weak point!

After making it up the side of the colossus, Luka began to feel the thing shake as it walked. Moving that out of her mind, the girl charged forward towards the head of the beast before spotting the weak point. This must be it. Only as she pointed this out, a number of bats began to fly out from the shadow. With some quick thinking, Luka cast a large scale ice attack on the bats, freezing them all instantly. Yet, even as she did that, more started to flow out. They were coming out endlessly.
Take out the weak spot! I've got the bats under control. She would protect Layla while she finished off the colossus. With each wave of bats that came out, Luka sent out another ice attack to demolish them. Occasionally, a stray fireball got near her, but none were accurate enough to hit her. She simply needed to keep this up long enough for the shadow to go down. Speaking of, what would happen when the weak spot is taken out? Don't shadows poof after that? That thought lingered in the back of her mind as she fended off countless waves of enemies.

Wow, this thing was really shaking up here. And with the wind, the whole experience was starting to remind Layla a lot of the fight with the tank. In fact, it was practically the same thing, just on a much large scale. Climb up onto it and hit it from where it couldn't hit her. But just keeping a good enough footing to stay on was a battle unto itself. Layla did her best to stay stable, however, lowering her body into a sturdier stance and using handholds wherever she could. Eventually, they came across what had to be the weak point: a glowing emblem on the shadow's "head". Before they could do anything about it, however, they were swarmed by bats.
Layla managed to fire off a few lightning bolts into the swarm, clearing out a small path that was quickly covered up again. She turned back to Luka, who was already in the process of freezing the swarm of them. In fact, she froze all of them at once. The bats started falling out of the sky, but more still flew out of the massive shadow to take their place. With Luka's assurance that she could handle them as they came, Layla nodded and made a break for the head, weaving through openings as they presented themselves while avoiding the falling bodies of frozen shadow bats to the best of her ability. Within a few waves, she managed to get to the head of the colossus. She dropped down as low as she could go and ensured the most solid footing she could manage in her current situation. Once she was satisfied that she had done everything she could to keep herself from moving from that spot, she summoned Vajrabhairava again and started calling down lightning bolts on the colossus of a shadow's weak point. She would continue doing this until the shadow started going down.
Hopefully it wouldn't dissolve out from under her.

After a few blasts at the weak point, you hear a strange noise shuffle across the length of the colossus shadow. The weak point begins to surge with power and soon fades away into the black flesh of the beast. The bats stop coming from out of the sides, and those already out begin to shrivel up and dissolve. It seems you beat it! Only, now that you beat it, you'll need to get down safely! As all of this happens, the colossus begins to sway back and forth a bit before beginning to tumble to the ground! You better hold on to something or find a way to prevent the fall.

As Luka continued to fire off at the bats, she began to get progressively more and more tired. Looking back for just a moment, she saw Layla releasing tons of energy on the weak spot. It was only a matter of time.
Not a moment too soon, Luka nearly stumbled as the strange noise traveled down the colossus. Then the bats disappeared and stopped coming. She lowered her guard for a minute, taking a deep breathe. Looking back, Layla seemed unharmed and the weak spot gone. Did they win? She didn't need to ask as she would have her answer a moment later as she felt the beast begin to sway. Hold on to something! Lowering her body onto the colossus, the girl held on to make sure she wouldn't fall. This thing was going to topple over before it dissolved. The last thing they needed was to be squished or to fall!

It only took a few bolts of lightning before the symbol Layla had been attacking faded away, leaving only black flesh behind. The bats, finally seeming to run out of their endless supply, started to dissolve as well. But that left one final challenge to somehow deal with. And it was one Layla was already halfway prepared for. And...yep, the colossus began to sway violently.
She didn't need to hear Luka say to hold on to anything to know that she would have to. Looking for the nearest place she could grab hold, Layla made a break for it and pressed her body to the surface of the massive shadow. She grabbed on tightly to one protrusion near her head, and pressed her feet against another at ankle height. Then, pressing as well against the one she was grabbing onto, she held herself in place. Would that be enough? ...Well, despite how tired she was getting from the ordeal, she still had confidence in her own strength. It would have to be enough.

The colossus begins to collapse on itself as it goes down, slowly deteriorating over time. The mass creates a large shock-wave and a cloud of dust as it hits the ground. As for the two of you. . . you seem to survive with little injury! Guess you can claim your reward!
