Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Kyle stared at the cemetery gate without quite knowing what to do next.
Okay, so... I'm here. Now what the hell do I do? he thought, gulping. Was all that bullshit real?
Do not refer to me as 'bullshit', human.
Kyle jumped a little bit. He still wasn't quite used to this... Persona creature speaking to him in his head. It was always short, curt and often offensive lines but it was evidently making itself very clear. He felt stupid though, standing in front of the cemetery gates with a fireman's axe resting on his shoulder. But, this was where he'd heard rumors of monsters like what attacked him back there and he had to test out his theory.
He stepped inside. He walked along quietly and didn't really think much of things. He was wondering if he was wrong, if he'd imagined that huge, winged leopard that saved his bacon back then. Even if it turned out to have been his imagination, he had the axe...
"C'mon then... where are ya?" he muttered.
I can't believe I'm actually expecting something to pop up here. There's no such thing as monsters.
How wrong he was.

Kyle was busy prodding some rubble with his foot when the Shadows turned up. He had his back turned but he felt a nasty tingle down his spine, like a really bad feeling. He whipped around and saw the monsters. He grew pale.
Shit. I said there's no such thing as monsters and lo and behold. Shit! They're actually real!
He froze up for a long moment, unable to decide what to do, with his feet rooted where he stood and the axe limp in his hands.
Feckless child, is this all you are?
Kyle grit his teeth. That bastard! How dare he call him a child! Something shifted in him and a swirling, glowing blue card hovered in front of him. He raised the axe overhead and brought it down, essentially chopping the card in half.
"Come and say that to my face, ya big furball!" he barked.
The card shattered and a throaty growl preceded Sitri as it materialized mid-jump. The winged leopard landed gracefully...and proceeded to lie down nonchalantly as the slime-like Shadow surged forward, hands stretched to attack.
"You think you scare me, you little shits!?" Kyle barked.
As if responding, Sitri stood up, stretched like a cat and roared in the Shadow's face, spreading his wings. An evil-looking, dark aura surrounded the Persona and then seemed to rush forward and envelop the Shadow. The slime suddenly stopped and... shivered. It quivered like a jelly on a plate and retreated suddenly. Kyle smirked.
"Scared, are ya? Good!"
The floating Shadow though came barreling in. Kyle growled and swung the axe overhead, then brought it down. It struck the thing's mask straight on with a crack. He heaved back like a lumberjack and swung the axe again, this time sort of side-ways. He struck again before the Shadow could react and drove the axe's blade straight through the Shadow, which shattered into particles. The Slime had tried to attack again but every time it shivered from top to bottom like jelly and wobbled in place. It suddenly turned and tried to retreat.
"You're not gettin' away, you bastard!!"
Sitri pounced and as it came down onto the Shadow, the sound of blades accompanied its paws, claws extended. Cleave! Sitri's blow staggered the Shadow but didn't completely defeat it. Still quivering, it continued its attempts to flee, just for Kyle to cross the distance between then in four big strides and bring the axe down on it, hard, finishing it off in a disgusting crack.

Well, that's certainly him.
Phoebe stood between two graves with her new sledgehammer resting on her shoulder. Upon leaving the catacombs with Tristan, they'd heard shouting from the cemetery and went to investigate. She stared at the spectacle before her. She'd just seen a pretty good fight go down; the Shadows had been thoroughly routed. The madman with the axe and the big, flying leopard had certainly left an impression. Normally, Phoebe would've been impressed.
Except she knew exactly who this was, from all his shouting. She sighed. How did it manage to get to this? Kyle awakening to a Persona. That would be the day. She figured she ought to put him on the know before the situation snowballed into a complete disaster. While Kyle was great at putting up a carefree front, Phoebe had first-hand experience with how out of control Kyle could get. He certainly looked a bit wild now. Unless she explained to him what was going on, the idiot might blow his cover to people who were better off not knowing about Shadows and Personas.
"Kyle, what the hell are you doing here?"

Tristan had left the crypt thing with Phoebe, still handling his new scythe. This looks closer than my other scythe to what the Grim Reaper would use. And then he heard screaming and yelling. There was a guy with an axe taking out some shadows. And he also had a Persona. With all the people I'm running into now with the abilities, how did I ever think I was the only one? Still, the guy tore through the shadows fairly well. Tristan was impressed.
When Phoebe yelled at the guy, calling him Kyle, Tristan had another of his horrible ideas. He rolled behind a gravestone near the guys location, then he had another word come to mind: "Mudo." He brought forth Pyro Jack then whispered the spell, causing a ball of pure darkness surround Tristan's general area. Then Tristan held the scythe that he had just acquired out to where the blade and a little of the hilt showed from the darkness and used his earlier horrible voice to creep the guy out.
"Child," he said, so as to give the appearance of the eternal Death. "While you fought valiantly, the time has come. Come hither, and accept the end!"

With the last of the monsters disposed of, Sitri disappeared and Kyle was left standing there with his axe in hand, panting and feeling his heart racing from the excitement. He'd fought two monsters and won! Sitri had cast a spell of some sort, just by him thinking about scaring the Shadows! It had felt so natural and so exhilarating. He couldn't put it into words, or even straight thoughts.
So what, am I some kinda superhero now?
He lowered the axe and breathed out. He could hardly believe what he'd just done. He started to wonder how or why he got this strange power.
"Kyle, what the hell are you doing here?"
Kyle very nearly jumped out of his skin at hearing his name. He whipped around, raising the axe again, just to be confronted with the image of...
"Phoebe?" he blurted. He recognized the familiar form of his pudge-ball co-worker from the bookstore. What was she doing here in the middle of the night? Had she seen the monsters? What if--
Kyle stared. Right behind her, this... thing reared itself from between the graves. It was a big mass of darkness and a scythe emerged from it.
"Child, while you fought valiantly, the time has come. Come hither, and accept the end!"
Kyle's jaw dropped and for a moment he was stock still from surprise. He was still riding a hell of an adrenaline rush though, so he immediately assumed it was but another monster that was attacking-- and that idiot, Phoebe, was the target.
He suddenly rushed towards the figure, screaming bloody murder and with his axe raised overhead.
"YOU SONOVABITCH I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S A FUCKING KID!"

Phoebe wanted to facepalm. She really did. She'd turned around when Tristan spoke and saw what he was doing. She'd have laughed under other circumstances but she knew how Kyle reacted to sudden surprises. And right now he was most certainly still in 'berserk mode' (Ryouji-san's monicker for Kyle's bursts of anger and aggression) and his reaction would be all the worse.
To say nothing of the fact that the moron had found an axe somewhere. That was probably the worst possible thing to give Kyle, although she couldn't deny the irony of it suiting him perfectly.
So, he's finally become a mad man with an axe. Literally. Woopty-frickin'-doo.
However, now was something more pressing at hand.
She sidestepped to let Kyle run past... then put out her arm and grabbed a handful of his hoodie's hood. She braced herself and pulled back. Kyle's momentum was such that he acted like a dog on a short chain. His legs jerked forward, he let a choked sound and landed on the ground on his back with a thud.
"Kyle! Stop it, you're acting like a frickin' psycho again. That's Tristan, he's just messing with you."
Then she gave Tristan a glance to please cut it out because the spazzy kid here is flipping out and we have enough on our plate with Shadows stomping around.

Tristan started to laugh for the second time that night. As the darkness dissipated, he knew he was coming into full view. An what a sight he would make! A teenager wielding a scythe while having another on his back, laughing as he scared some random guy who was able to summon some sort of flying cat. Any normal person would suspect that Tristan would end up getting himself killed, but he knew better. He could hold his own.
Tristan was starting to sober up when Phoebe told he guy who he was. He started to bust up again, but he saw her look his way in a manner that said "you better quit." Seeing as of how he knew that she could keep up in a fight, he didn't want to get on her bad side. He stopped laughing, and started to apologize to the Kyle guy.

Kyle wasn't sure how he'd ended up on the ground. He was rushing forward with the axe raised to strike down the wraith when he felt a strong tug behind his neck and his shirt almost choked him. From his momentum he'd jerked forward and then hit the ground with his back.
He stared up at the night sky, dizzy and then four-eyes bent down over him.
"Phoebe! What the fuck!? What happened!? The mon--"
He sat up and stopped. The 'monster' had been a teenager with two scythes who was cracking up about the whole thing. Kyle stared between Phoebe and the guy Phoebe called Tristan. His anger flared and he jumped up, leaving the axe on the ground.
"You little shit!" he barked. "What's the matter with you, running around scarin' people! How the fuck did you do that-- who do you think you are?"
He rushed forward and grabbed Tristan by the lapels of his shirt, with a very fierce and angry expression and pulled his fist back to punch Tristan in the face.
You will try to solve everything with violence, won't you?
Shut the fuck up, fuzzball!

Tristan watched as the amazement came over Kyle's face, and then the sheer rage. Nothing else, this ought to be fun. He watched calmly as the man picked him up and started to yell in his face. "Jeez, man, calm down. A joke's a joke, so stop." Still, he doubted the man would actually set him down, so he pulled back. Then he swung his arm forward, hitting the guy square in the jaw. "Now, put me down."
Deciding that it would do him better to prepare for anything, he managed to concentrate enough to bring forth Pyro Jack. With him manifested behind Tristan, Tristan looked Kyle dead in the eyes. "Put me down, or you will end up being my next training dummy."

Kyle's head whipped aside when the kid punched him. Not a bad swing, overall, but Kyle'd seen way better.
"You hit like a girl," he snarled.
He glanced behind him, seeing a strange, floating creature with a pumpkin head. He smirked angrily. He was entirelly surprised to find someone else with the same power as him. It kind of made sense that it wouldn't be too unique.
"You don't scare me, brat," he said and put Tristan down.
His card manifested in front of him and Kyle crushed it in his hand. "I've got a beastie of my own... and I bet mine's meaner than yours."
Sitri appeared, and lazily paced around behind Tristan.
"So what'll it be, kid? You wanna settle this like men or do we have to involve whatever fuckin' magic bullshit this is?"

Tristan wasn't meaning to scare the guy too badly, but he had hoped that he would have had a slightly different reaction. He sighed, then looked to Feebs. But he knew that she wouldn't be able to help much, and besides, there was only one way that this guy would ever leave him alone. "Magic bullshit, huh?"
He knew someone who referred to their powers like that wouldn't be too powerful. Sadly, that caused a dilemma. That meant that if he didn't hold back, he would possibly kill the guy. Yet, due to the guy also having a Persona, he wasn't really affected by how much stronger Pyro Jack made Tristan stronger.
Sighing, Tristan looked to the winged beast. "Any chance," he started to ask. "That you can talk sense into him? Because surely you can tell how I'm more powerful." Still, he didn't expect much. Pyro Jack didn't seem too concerned though, so that relaxed Tristan a little. He then looked to Kyle. "You want to bet that your Persona is stronger than mine? If so, go ahead and throw the first blow."

Phoebe let a long, weary sigh when Kyle rushed Tristan and the first punches were thrown. Why did she have to get stuck with this? Kyle always acted like this. He may appear well-adjusted and everything but he really was an unstoppable berserker when his blood was up. She'd witnessed that first hand when a few delinquents came to the bookstore to mess around right around closing time.
One of them insulted Hisako-san within Kyle's earshot and then shit went down, as the saying goes.
She got worried when both of them popped their Personas out and she strode over to break them up. She passed right by Kyle's Persona Sitri, who outright ignored her and put her hand on his shoulder to pull him away.
"Kyle, come on, stop it. You're both acting like children," she said sharply. "Just--"
THUD
Phoebe reeled back, with a sharp pain blooming from her face. While flailing in anger, Kyle had thrown his arm out and smacked her squarely in the face. She stumbled backwards and steadied herself. Her glasses hadn't broken, thank God, but when she put her hand to her face, she felt something wet and warm. Her nose was bleeding.
Oh that is so it... she thought and her own anger flared up.
"KYLE!" she barked.

Tristan could do little but watch as Kyle swung at Phoebe. He was amazed at how hard Kyle had swung, causing Phoebe to bleed profusely from her nose. Well, I don't think this could actually be made better in any way. Especially by fighting. Still, he didn't expect this to end in any other way.
Phoebe yelled Kyle's name, obviously hurt by the fact that he punched her and oh so very enraged. He glanced at Pyro Jack, who had in turn faced towards Tristan. They both apparently had the same sentiments on the situation, so they started to back away. "Dude," Tristan started to say to Kyle. "Punching a chick? You need to keep that anger in check. Before you end up making someone mad enough that they rip you to shreds."
