Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The Gap was an odd place. A sort of one-stop-shop for all things that Persona-users, and even the odd civilian here and there, heading into the Outer Circle might want. Salvage was sold, naps were taken, and things of that sort occurred there. It was only natural that somebody tried to turn a location like that into a potential shop. Meager as it might have been, a certain young "lady" did set up shop. It was laughable in quality- like a lemonade stand put together by children- but it served its purpose well enough. The sign atop the stand seemed to host the name. The name? "Ran Ran Ru". A few goods were located atop the surface of the counter. They varied in quality. They varied in purpose. But one thing they all had in common was the fact that they were being sold. No doubt, with a source of income just next door, all that the shop needed to flourish was time.

I limped back into The Gap, the one place that one annoying chick led me to. I decided to take a break there. My leg was still shocked. When I went inside, I saw a seemingly familiar face. Oh. It's that annoying girl! What a surprise. She has a stall. It looked like those children's lemonade stalls you see when such kids want to make an extra buck. How cute. I walked towards her and my eyes widened as I saw she was offering some strange things on sale. Also, why Ran Ran Ru? What a creepy name, like almost from a creepy song, or something. Anyway, it looked like these were all products used to improve some sort of contraption. Probably equipment. Upon being close enough to see the girl, I hailed her. "...Hey, it's you again. I'm interested in what you've got. Particularly, I'd like to take this thing here..." I said, pointing at what appeared to be something for armor... Upon closer inspection, I surmised it was something to improve protection against the elements. Looks like something to provide a resistance to fire. "...Fire Resistance? Yes? This? I will pay 700 for it. Does that sound alright with you, miss?" I requested, trying not to sound snide or antagonistic despite... our first meeting.
Of course, it didn't help I was limping and I smelt like I had been burned.

Seemed Akira had his first customer. And, lo and behold, it was the normal lady that really had no place down “below”. Oh well. He tried to discourage her. If she was still there, then that meant she intended on progressing despite the difficulty. The boy could respect that resolve, even if he could only find himself deriding her choice. Well, he had cleaned his hands of it. He didn't mind helping if the circumstances brought them together, but he wouldn't help her beyond that. She chose hard mode, and it was up to her to go through it.
”Good evening, and welcome to the Ran-Ran-Ru! Seven hundred is certainly acceptable for this trinket.” After the exchange of item and coin, the trap bowed slightly. ”Thank you for your patronage! We at the Ran-Ran-Ru are here to satisfy your modification needs.” Cue a momentary silence. ”When we have them, anyway. Please enjoy, and stay safe out there!” Whether it was professionalism or just him treating her like a stranger was entirely up to question. Either way, he made his first sell. That was good. More money for him, and all. Service and a smile- that was what he offered. In return, he received money.
Pools of money.

Trudging through the subway tunnels was perhaps the last thing on the list for Zhou's daily activities, if only for the fact that he once more craved to see the beautiful purple sky that hung over the gap like the Aurora Borealis...it was truly something that caused the boy genuine wonderment every time he saw it. After slapping around some shadows with his chain whip from time to time, frying some to see how they would react with the aid of the Black Knight, there was always a certain satisfaction from destroying them. Whether it was attributed to the sheer fact that he was ridding the world of something hideous beyond compare, or that they were just objects to inflict pain upon would be left up to you, dear reader. Now not only had he heard tales of missions through the grapevine, but there was now supposedly a store to visit as well, set up right in the gap. Glorious, he could spend more time looking at the abstract beauty that was depicted within the shadow lands. Going up the steps of the terminal, towards the light of that beautiful purple sky, he caught a glimpse of the salvage shop...and then finally looked over at one of the little kiosks. To say this place was inornate was to do a disservice to it's utilitarian appearance. However...there seemed to be a familiar face there, though it seemed as if he couldn't place as to where he had met them...Zhou stepped up to the small kiosk, having read the name as "Ran-Ran-Ru", before leaning over with a smile on his face. "Hi there. Gotta say, you look really familiar, but...eh. I know you're not here for small talk and all, so I'll make this quick. I brought a bit of money with me...and that thing on a chain...the little one with the wave marks running through it, I'd like that..." Something about it called to him, or maybe the Black Knight, either or...it seemed like it'd make things much more interesting.

”Ah, welcome to the Ran-Ran-Ru!” Came the energetic greeting. The crossdresser hosted a fairly warm smile on his face. Upon the request for the accessory that he had used to enhance his scissors, he nodded. ”Certainly, sir. If that's all, then we can finish this exchange up now.” Bowing slightly after the exchange, the boy's smile became sweet. ”Thank you for your patronage. Please enjoy, and, remember, the Ran-Ran-Ru is here to supply your needs! Assuming we have them. Stay safe!” And, with that, he relaxed. The white-haired boy was familiar. They were on the front lines together against the Grim Squeaker.
Perhaps it'd be worth pointing that out to him?

I coughed a little bit. The poison from that fight before had, for the most part, been purged thanks to a restorative sorcery, but I could still feel some of its effects. I had fallen sick this time of the common cold, and it sort of showed. My nose was rather red and I had kept a handkerchief on my person for the most part. Having returned to The Gap once more in search of business, I once again returned to Ran-Ran-Ru. I dreaded having to deal with the girl more than I needed to, but she had the goods and I had the cash. I might as well take advantage of the deals and opportunities that were opening up. I trudged forward to the kiosk and eyed some used armor. The price was a hefty 1,800 but I could easily cover the funds. I hailed Ran again and made my interest in the product known. "Good day miss," I said, putting down 1,800 on the table. "I'd like to purchase the armor. Gotta use protection, after all." I nodded firmly and said nothing else, no other theatrics.

Another day, another customer. Or an old customer. Either way, seemed Alisa was here to buy more stuff again. Akira simply nodded when the item was pointed out. In that case, all was well. Well, except for the investigator's choice of words. Oh, yes. Protection was great. And the crossdresser felt like commenting on that, once all was said and done. With a smile matching for an angel- something he was obviously not- the boy nodded again once the exchange was good and done. Then, situating the counter of the stall, he just watched the woman.
”Thanks, as always, for your continued patronage! Please stay safe out there.” Aaaaand then the shopkeeper act dropped. ”It's a good peace. I wore it during the night of the full moon. Pretty sure you were there. It'll keep you alive. And, I agree. Protection is needed. Always have some before intercourse.” Another angelic smile appeared on his face as he went silent, bowing slightly.

Seiji had two things in mind as he strolled through the gap: he had money burning a hole in his pocket and he had a project in mind. For the project to work, he needed the proper components. Ran had a store right next to his own and she apparently had exactly what he needed on sale. Turning the corner, he found Ran's stall. Pulling a large wad of cash out, he placed it on the table. "Fancy meeting you here. I'll take that light damage mod. Need it to recreate the sword of an ancient king and all that. All good heroes have swords."
A shiver went up his spine as he thought back to an earlier night. "And not horrifying garden scissors..."

"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

It was another slow day. But speed was irrelevant for Akira. What mattered was that items moved around and he got what he needed. Of course, this was the case, seeing as how he was dealing with a shop. With the appearance of Mister Dalton, it seemed that his customer of the day had arrived. Cash upfront, he pointed out exactly what he wanted. A businessman through and through, it seemed, and Akira was perfectly all right with that. He could respect that. With a smile and a bow, he exchanged the mod for the money. The crossdresser had this shopkeeping thing in the bag.
"Thank you for shopping at the Ran-Ran-Ru! We hope to see you and your money again some time soon. Take care out there!" He figured the innocent money-grubbing act would at least get a laugh out of the boy. Either way, that was one less item to sell and more money in his pocket. He could honestly say he was pleased.
