Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Sometimes, these trips would seemingly be fruitless, but I figured that if I could get some of the seemingly random trinkets I'd get from these ventures outside and maybe keep them around... Actually, come to think of it, didn't that eccentric woman at the bar accept some of this stuff? Some of the stuff I had accumulated mostly seemed to be slightly damaged electronics (which I held in my arms as I made my way to The Gap). I limped my way to the structure once more, secretly hoping I wouldn't see anyone I recognized. They'd probably see my leg had bled out a good deal. That and my arms looked burned. I looked around and made my way to the woman at the counter, setting down the myriad of electronic... recyclable junk on it. The place itself, now that I had a better look at it, seemed rather classy for something that was outside. That, and the woman herself looked rather attractive, hmm hmm. Anyway, that was enough admiration for me, for now. I had business to attend to.
"Hey miss, fancy place here, eh? I was wondering how much some of this stuff was worth. You think any of this is valuable? Y'might have seen me a couple of times. Name's Ayakura Alisa... hope we get along." I nodded off, pretending to ignore the fact I look like I was mugged, burned, and then mugged again.

The second week of exploration had turned up a mixture of stuff. I wasn't going to give away the research papers I had found, but I had discovered some more electronic gadgets that remained unused, I had also recovered a seemingly broken external hard-drive from one of the executive buildings. I treated it of course, though apparently I still couldn't get it to work on my machine. Thus, the most logical option was to pawn it off. In combination with the hard-drive, I had managed to procure some batteries of sorts - car batteries, triple A, double A, the works. On top of that, from the hospital, I found some really strange medicines I dared not touch, along with some pills that looked like they would be better crushed and mixed with a drink than taken raw. I sighed and made my way back to The Gap to see the strange blonde woman with my haul.
I wordlessly placed my stash of medicines, pills, batteries and the hard-drive softly on the counter. "Hey, miss. Here's some more stuff that might end up being useful. Dunno if they're safe for consumption. But there you go." She was strange, even if she was very attractive. I wanted to know her a bit better, but something told me that it would be very difficult to get dirt on her. I guess I'll find a way sooner or later.

I sighed as I went out on another foray for useful things. The last trip had been quite lucrative, and so I thought to myself I would have to make this a weekly deal. A weekly sort of thing. This time I had found myself wading through some junk piles, I ended up finding some strangely recyclable things, mostly cans and such, and decided that because they looked nice they were worthy of taking along. Along with the cans I had also found some strange blunt knives and a Swiss Army knife, which I also took along. I couldn't carry any more things in my arms so I decided to hightail it back to The Gap and see how much I could get for them. Entering it I saw the woman again and unloaded my haul for this week.
"Hey... It's me again. Couldn't find a haul as good as last time... But I do wonder what's good about these knives."

Another week of fighting, another bounty. I had amassed quite the haul from the abandoned car factory, I had found used car batteries, unusually strange metal scraps (which definitely seemed like they shouldn't be handled by human hands, fortunately it seems the expiration date had already passed a good deal, if you catch my drift...) amongst other seemingly useful things. This time, I had the sense to bring with me a pack in order to store everything in, instead of lumbering like an idiot with a bunch of broken electronics that needed to be recycled. Returning to visit my silent friend the strange blonde woman - who I could find virtually no information on - I put down my pack on the counter and extracted its contents.
The batteries, the metal scraps, everything I could fit in the damned thing. "Got some nice 'treasure' from the car factory. Think this'll be a fetching deal?"

The mines yielded... Mostly ores and discarded trinkets I had discovered from skeletons and the like during my sorties with Chidori. Don't ask how I managed to filch them. On top of that, the hospital trips yielded additional caches of used supplies that could be jerry-rigged to make SOMETHING productive, I'd assume. I had my pack containing the used goods again and unloaded them at the counter where the strange blonde lady was. I had to make this a regular dealie, because I'm sure whatever I'd find could get me some valuable returns. I had a new power available to me as well, which made things significantly easier. It almost feels like it was in anticipation of something, too... But I shouldn't ruminate too much on these things. It's not particularly healthy. I was silent for the most part this time, but I still found a need to be polite.
"Hey, miss... Do you get a lot of people shoving stuff down here from the mines?"

I returned to the blonde woman again with a pack full of used medical supplies, wondering if anything there was actually useful. Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't. I went back to the counter wordlessly and carefully took out the goods, placing it there and making sure none of the containers were cracked. Some of them were plastic, yes, but others were made of glass, so I had to make sure they didn't suddenly break on me and release the contents. Do you actually make money out of this? Yeah, I do, actually. The extra dosh really helps a lot, in fact. So don't blame me if you see me scavenging out in the field. I'll take your word for it, ma'am. Just don't dirty yourself too much doing that kind of stuff. Such words coming from someone who takes joy out of killing and destroying things. Touche. I simply smiled once I got everything on the counter and checked their condition.

I had retrieved some goodies from the basement of that one building I had to take a job at that one day; I don't know why I left them in the apartment, I guess I must have forgotten about them. Regardless, they mostly seemed to be more practical office supplies, pieces of broken appliances, and the like. I think I kept them around to study them for the effects of Shadow presence on them, but I never got really far in that endeavour. That said, they weren't doing anything more productive than gathering dust in my apartment, so I decided to bring them out and take them to the blonde woman at The Gap so I could have them checked out. After a while of relaxed walking and entering the establishment once more, I repeated my routine of unpacking the bags, shoving the goods slowly to her and inquiring about worth.
I think by this time, she would've gotten the message. I hope. Maybe I can get more information out of her some day.

The caverns yielded mostly some precious jewels and loot that I had managed to pick up and salvage from some battles down there. Especially the battle with the devil lizard bat from Hell. That thing was a bitch and a half to take down. Sometimes I wondered if I had damaged my hearing from that. Then again, training should have strengthened my body as a whole, so I guess it wasn't anything to worry about. Keeping the stuff in my pack, I made my way back to The Gap where I would see the strange blonde woman again. I had taken a mission from her wherein it was necessary to grab a gem of some sort. Did she want to give it as a present to somebody else? Come to think of it, she looked like someone I read from a story. And that Shrine Maiden too. Maybe they were related? Hmm, idle, fantastic thoughts. No room in my head for those at the moment.
I laid down the jewels, ore, and other miscellaneous loot from the caverns, silently offering it to the blonde woman who managed The Gap. "Good stuff?"
