Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Ran was going to physically attack the thing? Seiji was impressed with her tenacity. His jacket had been singed by the flames and he tossed it off to keep the flames from spreading. Given the heat resonating from the golem shadow, he wouldn't notice it for now but it was probably going to be a cold trek home if they even made it out of this fight alive. He hoped this ended one way or another within the next 'round' or the one after it. His spirit was almost totally drained. Drawing into the well of his soul, he felt like there was hardly enough 'energy' left for him to launch one more Mahama at the shadow.
He hoped Ran knew what she was doing. If the rock didn't get repair itself after being punched by the girl, he wouldn't be too afraid to play his last (well, second to last if one counted his electric sword) card. Standing up with tremendous effort, he grunted but said nothing as Sir Gawain stood his ground. At this rate, the girls were probably going to start calling Seiji 'Mister Wait and See' or something. With one more splattering of bug bites, the ice, and Ran's physical attacks, he watched with bated breath as the shadow inevitably reacted.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”

The direct knee-smack delivered by the one girl seemed to be highly effective, as the rock she kicked cracked and then gradually crumbled. With the incoming burst of ice, another froze to the core and shattered. By that point, the flaming core was peeking out through the chest of the golem, flames seeping out and molten rock dripping down the golem's chest. The light only served to stun it. With the new opening acting to facilitate the cooldown, it was ready to go. Prepping another Rock Wrecker, it sent its attention to the girl still in front of it. The magnetic-rock-drill launched at Akira for severe strike-based damage, canceling 1x Rakukaja!

The followup to his attack was a bit vicious. It was a good thing he nullified fire, as Akira didn't know if he'd still be able to stand after taking a blow like that had he already been injured. Taking the Rock Wrecker, Akira flew back several feet, landing on his rear and sliding back across the gravel floor. Coughing slightly, he shifted to his knees, then shakily stood. He then sent a pulse to Alma Elma, which signaled in the next Mediarama for the group. The did could tell that the blow's effects were still there, though- namely in the sense that his Rakukaja pileup seemed a little less formidable.
”It's weak against impact-based attacks, as well, it seems. Makes sense, considering it's a bunch of rocks. If nothing else, you can punch to the molten center?” He shrugged slightly, finally dusting himself off. Wouldn't do to be a crossdresser with dirty clothes. He doubted the fight would go on much longer, what with the core exposed like that.

It would seem that Akira's attack was actually really effective despite it being a seemingly normal kick. It was kind of impressive really. The combined efforts of everyone's attacks broke the golem down enough that the "core" of the shadow was exposed. Maybe this was it?
Luke didn't have enough power to charge up again; though it didn't seem like the fight would last much longer. All she had left under her arsenal was her dark and ice attacks. The ice attack had proven effective after being charged, but she didn't have that option this time. She would simply go for a regular dark attack. New strategy! Hel came forward once again, releasing a burst of dark energy at the shadow. As the attack went through, Luka felt the last of her spirit drain. That was all she could give for now. She would try to regain some focus for the time being.

From then on, Seiji ceased caring about logical trains of thought in regards to shadows and their weaknesses. His own light peppered the thing and hardly seemed to do much damage at all, if any. Even if he was spiritually drained, he had a whole mess of vitality ready to go thanks to Ran's steady supply of heals. Looking at Sir Gawain, he shrugged. Seeing as how Sir Gawain was a part of him and all that, he didn't need to be told what to do.
Drawing the hefty morningstar/mace hybrid from its back, the knight slammed it into the exposed core of the shadow, sending out a heat wave and dealing strike damage to the creature and any weakling shadows that happened to wander too close to the battlefield. Hopefully between all the damage they'd done to the creature, it'd crumble away into nothingness.

Once the last attacks from the humans arrived and slammed into the golem, something clicked. The fires within, the energy source, was finally dying out. It seemed that ruin had finally arrived, but not for the humans. The glow of fire turned orange, then a dull red. Eventually, it died out. Once it did, the rocks shuddered. The arms lost their magnetic pull, falling apart starting with the hands. The torso, head, and legs, however, all cracked, slowly turning to rock dust before finally crashing to the gravel floor. Blackness from within the rocks seeped out and pooled together before finally dissolving.
You murdered the boss! Good job, you horrible murderers!

The last bit of Luka's energy was used in that attack. She would need to wait a minute before she could do anything else. Or would she?
Just as the group's attacks hit the golem, it slowed its movements to a halt. The fire burning within it slowly went out as the shadow crumbled to rubble. It seemed that they won. Well, that was a close call. The girl dropped to the floor to rest for a moment. As she sat, something caught her eye. Some sort of trinket? Blinking curiously, the girl pocketed it before turning over to Akira and Seiji. Good job guys. I think. . . I'm gonna go home and take a shower. Maybe sleep for a few hours. A yawn escaped her as she got up and stretched. At the very least, she would accompany the two of them back to the inner circle where it was safe.

Another day, another success against Shadows. Wasn't just little Shadows, either, but big-time, nasty area bosses. Akira, though winded and a bit stressed, was pretty pleased with the overall outcome. Victory had been achieved, the mines were one step closer to being purged, and, as he drew closer to the remains of the boss, he found a piece of armor. All in all, that was a damn good outcome. Victory, no casualties, and loot. He was pumped, frankly. If not for the fact that he was dirty, he would have split up and headed deeper into the mines. But screw that. He was, admittedly, tired. Plus he didn't want his precious clothes staining. Shit was expensive.
”I'll agree to leaving and taking a shower. Not so much for the napping, though. Too pleased with the results for that. We should go out and eat sometime. Like, somewhere good.” He casually commented before heading back to pluck his scissors from their perch in the ground. ”And, of course, good work guys. That could've been really nasty if we lacked either one of you. Glad to have both of you. Almost look forward to the next major fight, as bad as it sounds. Luka's heading back. I'll head out with her.” He announced before smiling sweetly at Seiji.
”Of course, if you're heading back as well, we should all go together.” With a light giggle and skip to his step, the boy in drag headed on out of the chamber, dust and gravel staining the back of his skirt brown and black instead of white.
His good mood would be gone if it didn't come out.

All's well that ends well. Sighing with relief, Seiji's whole body relaxed as he saw the monster dissolve away. After the frantic fight, Seiji couldn't help but feel a sigh of relief. Rummaging through the remnants, he pulled free a bastard sword similar to his own but clearly of a higher quality. Even in the dim glow of the cavern, it shined brightly. A fine prize. Seeing Ran pull free some fine looking armor, he whistled. Luka's prize was also something he was interested in, but he'd save that discussion for another time. For now, briefly given a second wind by the fight, he gave his new weapon a few test swings, toying with the weight both with one hand and two. A bastard for a bastard, and a fine weapon.
It wasn't modified with weapon damage, but hey, with a brother that served as a Japanese MacGuyver, anything was possible. Replacing the weapon in its scabbard and carrying it in the pit of his right arm for lack of space, he once again let the others do most of the talking. Ran talked about going out and eating somewhere good. The thought amused Seiji. "As long as you're paying or they have a dollar menu." His tone probably suggested he was joking, but boy, given how poor he was even with the blonde lady drip feeding him money for junk, he'd be lucky to afford any tasty burgers.
Silently, he followed along with Luka and Ran back through the outer circle. Whether out of respect or instinctual fear, nothing they encountered in the streets was bold enough to attack. It was a terrible shame given Seiji had just enough energy left to make another fight fun. When they eventually reached a point where they'd go their separate ways, Seiji waved them off and said, "I'll see you both again on a professional level whenever another angry boss shows up for us to fight. Until then, take care."
