Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Even in the dead of the night, a star would glow. Even when time seemed to freeze, light would exist. Light transcended the boundaries known as laws and physics. Light was something magical, sometimes good, others evil. As the lesser humans were claimed by coffins and the city entered its foggy state, a star glimmered and shot. The entity only stopped in the dead center of the shopping center. It was a place that, normally, stirred with life. Like that, it was cold and empty- dead. Something was missing from its own existence. It needed its other half- its reflection. The figure was bright- yellow, orange, and red- like a star had fallen from the skies and taken on a humanoid shape. As could be expected, it was both large and tall.
With flowing robes giving off the imagery of a burning fire, the Shadow stood tall, its mask, like the design of a sun in a children's picture book, clicking as the crescent wisps of “fire” around the frame rotated. It stood. It waited. Then, it cried out. A dance of light required a partner. For, with light, there was always a partner.

But with the presence of light, there existed its contrast. This contrast, naturally complimented the light quite well, making it seem even more magnificent. Just as light was the presence of all colors, darkness was the absence. Light is the presence of truth while the darkness shrouds it from the eyes of those who seek it. Yet, in a sense, the darkness could be considered a truth in its own right. The truth of uncertainty that always looms over one's shoulder. Yet, this darkness cannot exist unless a shadow is cast. Thus without light, this shadow cannot exist.
Thus, when the bright star cast its light over the shopping center, the darkness was able to take shape from the darkened crevices all around. This darkness began to pull itself together until it finally materialized into a humanoid form. And yet, from this darkness, a new light was formed. A new being. Dark hues of green, blue, and purple made up its physical composition which resembled a being made of plasma found in a star. The "moon" was a beautiful being, though it could only shine thanks to the light of the "sun." The being also seems to give off rays of "darkness" similar to how its counterpart that it spawned from gave off rays of light. Now together, the contrasting rays intersected forming a border between light and dark. The two parts that create the whole were now together; ready to perform a lovely display for all those interested in watching. Truth and uncertainty, life and death, beginnings and ends.
"Now this is an interesting phenomenon." Aleister looked down from the sky after seeing it change color, the people around him becoming coffins. He reached over and touched one. This was very interesting. He shuddered and started to cackle. He can sense them...two large shadows not too far from where he was. This was going to be interesting.
Aleister walked over to where the shadows are at the shopping center. He looked around. People were going to be arriving soon. He cleared his throat and decided to yell out to any other persona users that could hear him. He doesn't know if he'll wind up startling the shadows too. He seemed far away enough. However he really began to wonder how many would oblige to this request...then again people are more polite than one would think right?
"Hello! If anyone present is going to go over and kill these shadows, I must request that you do not do that. If anything it would be delightful if these shadows were left alone. So? What do you say we just pack our bags and have a good night sleep huh?" Aleister looked over and wondered if his voice carried well enough. He looked back in the direction of the shadows. It would be a shame if these shadows have to be killed...but depending on how powerful the persona users are around here he might not be able to do anything to stop them...

He felt it again. That horribly repressive feeling. Something big was going on, and Tristan was going to be there. After all, last time he was there during something big he encountered many other users. Then, on a smaller scale, the car that had attacked him... He knew that a fight was about to occur. He grabbed his gear and dashed out the door.
He saw two large shadows, one resembling the sun. Fire won't do crap to him, or light. The other shadow, however, seemed to be made of darkness. That one is my target for now. He then heard a person yelling to leave the shadows alone.
"Please," Tristan yelled back. "Let's just kill them and get it over with. It'll be more fun that way."
He then cast Agilao at the darker shadow, testing to see if he should alternate to Hamaon or not.

Gin felt the air change. It was unusual, but he knew what the phenomenon meant: some of his stronger brethren had awakened. That meant nothing good for the humans. It meant death as riding the wind.
It meant he could change with little repercussions.
Doing such, Gin changed into his shadow form. He then followed the energy of his brethren, avoiding the humans transmogrified into coffins. When he approached the area, he heard humans yelling at each other. Then one sent a flame spell at one of the powerful shadows. Gin, amused, decided to sit out for a bit and watch the show. He climbed a building, then sat there discreetly. He stayed out of the eyes of prying humans.

Johnson was waiting around for the clock to strike midnight. He had been prepared for the event that was to transpire this night. It was a strange feeling that creeped up to him in the last few moment before midnight. As if the entire world around him was grinding to a halt. Then, as the clock struck midnight, The same mist that was so often found around the outer circle crept into the city. Then, a brilliant display of lights erupted from the shopping centre. he could see it from his window. He gripped his shotgun and set off as fast as his aged frame could carry him.
It did not take long to find the source of the lights. It were two shadows of enormous size and stature. John was wary of them as even though they were certainly beautiful, that was no evidence that they wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone here without a second thought. As he prepared for combat he heard an unkown voice call out to refrain from attacking the shadows, which seemed like a bad idea. The familiar voice which replied was comforting though. "Hey tristan! Over here."
John made his way to the young man. Taking up position at his right side. "Let's get this over with.I'll back you up." He summoned Ippon-Datara to his side.
"Tarukaja"
a wave of red energy washed over John and Tristan. It then drifted further into the mall. John had no idea just how far the stengthening effect would reach. then again, it would probably help to buff as many people as possible.

Phoebe and Maria had discussed the full moon recently and tonight it was so far. She scurried over the entire city. She went to search for a while at the entire Queen's Arch District. She had her sword and new skirt with her. Which looked exactly the same as her old one. She was told it had magical properties and would defend the user like armor. Maria didn't knew whether this was true or not but this would be a good oppertunity to try it out. took a while but after a while she heard some noise coming from the shopping center. That might be it.
She ran to the site and there were several persona users present already. There were two shadows this month? Well this would be her first battle during the dark hour. The coffins really stirred her up earlier. Now she didn't had much time to think about it. She recognized Tristan but nobody else at the moment. Maybe Phoebe would show up. Anyway this was certainly a shadow, she knew that from the masks. She took a persona card and fired away. "Pixie" Maria fired some gust of wind at the shadows.

Run.
Phoebe slammed shut the driver's side door of her car, grabbed her gear from the back seat and got moving. She could feel the air thick with it. That horrible, nasty sense that the world had stopped. She pressed her phone to her ear, one more time as she had done several times earlier, frantically calling all the Persona Users she knew. Even though this was only the second time she'd experienced this kind of thing, she felt it very strongly.
It was sick, ugly feeling like their part of the world had somehow come unstuck from the cosmos and was swaying like a paper boat in a storm. Run.
"Kyle!? Where are you! It's in the shopping mall! I found it! Look, if you're coming, get your ass here!" she barked and didn't even wait for him to reply.
She hung up and immediately called the last one on her list, CJ. He was hopelessly new but at this point, they were gonna need all the man-power they could get. "CJ! When you get this message, you need to get your ass to the White Lion Shopping Center, pronto! It's happened again! That thing I told you about! Hurry."
She hung up for the last time and pocketed her phone even as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
Run, for they are here.
They?! There's more than one?!
See for yourself.
Phoebe came into the plaza and gaped. Two giant Shadows, sun and moon. The sticklers had a thing for symbolism, didn't they? At least she wasn't alone. There was Tristan and John and she could see Maria and Isolde (at least, she was sure that was the girl's name, she hadn't spoken to her in ages). Seems they'd either gotten her messages or they were there already - and there was that creepy freak, Aleister.
"Aleister, shut the fuck up," she growled at him and walked past him. The nerve of that moron. "Tristan, thank God you're here. I've been trying to get in touch with you. Keep calm."
Even though her legs were shaking from fear, she pulled out her new hammer - a strangely medieval-looking old warhammer - and stepped to the front. "I'll take point for now. I can take the damage. Be ready to back me up," she told them. They are strong. Fear not. I am here.
She willed the floating, azure card and tapped it with her hammer. It shattered with a sharp sound and Hypatia appeared in a splendor of white haze, her spear held high proudly and her shield reflecting the light of the Shadows.
This is it.
"Rakukaja!" she said and Hypatia swung her shield-bearing arm gracefully. A frenzy of orange light danced around all her allies, fortifying their defense and preparing them for combat.

Ringo ran on over to his place of work. It was once more happening again. Another night of a strange sky and a powerful shadow appearing. He ran on inside the shopping center. He arched an eyebrow as he saw someone...did he just say leave the shadow alone? Ringo had not time for that ranting though. He ran over and shuddered at the sight he saw. Was that the lady that visited him the other day?!
"Phoebe?!" Ringo shook his head quickly. Now was no time for that though. They were now two strong shadows present. One resembling the sun, the other the moon. He had to strike both of them and fast. His eyes began to glow. "Tokoyo!" His persona appeared and then the katana blade she wielded started to glow. Tokoyo soon sliced the area around the shadows.

”Well, this was certainly most convenient.” Akira spoke to himself as the world shifted. Third time was the charm. Coincidence? Hell no. Twice was unlikely. Three was astronomically low. He had planned on there being a fight, so he told his family he'd be busy with school related things. Technically, it was true. By fighting and protecting the city, he ensured that the school would actually still be running the following day. With a grunt, the boy in drag stood up from his seat on the bench. He gripped his scissors with his left hand and reached into his clothes with his right, retracting his evoker. The presence was- the presences were- near. It was difficult to tell due to the cloud of energy, but there was certainly more than one. He couldn't quite put it in words, but the energy simply didn't mesh together perfectly.
He sighed. Well, it happened in all RPGs. It was going to happen eventually. The boy summoned Alma Elma. The succubus blossomed from his temple and stretched her wings out. Then, wrapping her arms under the boy's, she flapped her wings and took the both of them into the air. The shopping center was the location of the battle. If he played his cards right, he could get some rebates before the battle was over. He wasn't much of a thief, but if he was protecting the place, then it was only natural if he was compensated for his efforts, yeah? Well, that would be after the initial groundwork was set down, in any case. Buffs needed to be set up, damage needed to be monitored. Stuff like that.
As the two swooped into the scene, the boy took in his current allies, noticing buffs already being layered out. Three familiar fighters. One from the bar. And strangers. Well, more people meant more allies, but he didn't know a damn thing about how reliable they were. Until he knew something for sure, he'd just consider them dead weight. With a sudden flap, the succubus let go of the boy in drag, letting him sink to the ground while she fluttered overhead. The boy stretched his arms and legs out. Thigh-highs, skirt, blouse, and jacket. It might as well have been his typical battle set by that point. The colors of black and red were predominant in the under-pieces, but his jacket was gray. Either way, the boy just smiled as he took in the scene.
”Well, it was gonna happen sooner or later. Two enemies? Not a problem. Give the others some time to show up!” The boy casually declared to the others. Strangers or no, the assurance that more was on the way would help morale. ”Now, Alma Elma, let's get this party started! Heat Riser, get these hearts pumping!” The boy declared, raising his massive scissors, then swinging them down forcefully. At the order, the succubus spread her arms out and gave off a red hot pulse across the field, boosting the overall combat abilities of all the humans there.

Post by CJ Jackson (TechChris) on Mar 16, 2014 16:25:27 GMT -5
The full moon... A time when Shadows were at their strongest and they could appear anywhere... CJ was looking forward to this. He pondered for a while on how the Shadows were connected to the moon cycle, and how terrible these new ones must be to make Phoebe shudder when she spoke of them. There was no time to ponder now. Phoebe's message guided her to the mall.
Thankfully, the White Lion Shopping Center was just outside his hotel, so he didn't have far to go. The people he was expecting to see on the way were all replaced by coffins... It unnerved him. He hated the oppressive atmosphere, the constant sense of dread. It put a damper on his bravery, and he had a feeling he'd need it all when he arrived at the mall. He burst through the door, and immediately saw Phoebe along with many people he didn't recognize. He also saw the Shadows, which threatened to sap away all his courage.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Feebs," he said, his bravery starting to falter.
There were so many Personas out, so many people taking potshots at the Shadows, elemental attacks flying at the creatures from everywhere... They all looked so much more powerful than anything he could dish out. He wasn't sure how much his own attacks would work. Nevertheless, he took his place at Phoebe's side (and slightly behind her, given that she has the more defensive Persona). He could feel the effects of all the "Kaja" type abilities the other Persona users utilized, and it bolstered his courage a bit.
The azure card descended into his palm, and he smashed it with his dinky police baton. Uroboros Ophis appeared.
He realized now why these were called "Boss Shadows." They were huge! Easily bigger than any other shadow he'd seen. And as with all the Shadows he had seen to date, there was a theme linking them. One was light, the other was darkness. One was the day, the other was the night. It stood to reason, then, that the night one would be susceptible to light. Then again, themes weren't always indicators of Shadow weaknesses and strengths...
"Let's see if this works..." he said, targeting the darker Boss Shadow, "Uroboros! Hama!"
There was something amiss in the sky, Crux quietly observed atop a building. His coat and the trailing bandages underneath flowed in the breeze, and he embraced the full moon like a flower graces the sun. What was the error made by he who weaves the skies? Suddenly, the 'hammering' feeling in his head began... stronger than ever. He could hear it, he could smell it, he could see it. It was EVERYWHERE. There was a Shadow, and it was bigger than anything he had encountered yet. His body trembled, and he went down the stairs as fast as he could.
Crux did not stop running until he was a distance away from Ringo. There, he could see the two opposites standing beside each other. One shined with the power of the sun, radiating with its near-blinding rays. The other shined with the softness and mystery of the moon, smothered in a cloak of the darkest darkness. The sun and the moon's rays clashed, something which would never be seen under normal circumstances.
So, the full moon was when the Shadows were most active? And the big ones came out too? Well, he would wish for a Full Moon every day now. Eventually, the Shadows will all be dead should there be those who intervene. The ASW was aware that there were other 'Users' in the city. Many of them may even be better at controlling their Persona than he was. For them, he had faith.
Time to do some basic set-up things.
Crux walked more and more forward, testing his combat systems. His motor functions were tested first, then his ability to deploy his weapons. For this, he rotated his arms at every limb and protracted each of his blades completely outward for a little more than a second. He stopped when he was next to Ringo, whom he could not identify just yet. Finally, his body glowed with an aura that was similar to how that Moon Shadow glowed. In front of him, a pool of darkness morphed and changed into the shape of a gold-helmeted man in a black, pinstripe 'cloak'. The sword he wielded was drenched in black energies, and a black crescent sprouted from his helmet.
"All systems functioning as designed. Initiating combat mode. Tsukuyomi, it's time."
The Persona drew his blade back under his arm and crouched down low. The energies on his sword flashed three times, each one becoming stronger than the other. Then, he would slash up, sending a crescent wave of darkness towards the sunny Shadow.

Amane managed to run over to where the shadows are located this time around. It was a fair bit of distance but Amane isn't too tired from running all the way over here. A sizable amount of Persona users are already present. This time they were two shadows. Amane was hoping this wasn't a possibility but alas lady luck won't grant her wishes. They were two shadows, one of the sun and one of the moon. She began to wonder which one to target.
"Silky! Garula!!" Amane's eyes glowed as she smashed her persona card the moment it appeared. The fairy appeared above Amane and sent a spiral of wind at the shadow that resembled the moon. Her eyes tilted over to Ran who arrived some time before her and then over at Phoebe, the woman who was at the catacombs and that book store. At least they're some allies with her right now.

Awaking with a start, Nisha noticed the shift of reality. This was like the event that occurred at the school, wasn't it? Quickly shifting from her bed and slipping on jeans and a jacket, the woman grabbed her crowbar and left to hunt down the presence. Time brought her to the shopping center. She was a bit surprised that it was so easy to get to. But, either way, she made her way inside, reaching for her card and summoning Shango. Behind the giant, a larger, dark-skinned titan appeared. The two marched right on in. Some faces were familiar. That brought some relief to the woman. All the same, though, she wasn't there to talk. Her role was simple- destroy to protect. Willing for an Akasha Arts, the woman had Shango unleash a destructive wave at the duo of Shadows. Hopefully it'd work on both of them. If not. . . well, there was lightning.
This would be time number three, now. Pyxis hadn't yet made it into the city in time for the first, but Alisa had provided good enough information to predict the possibility of a second incident. And now they were on the third. She was already out and about when night fell, searching for any signs of shadow activity within the city. She continued to get no results until her internal clock hit midnight, at which point time seemed to freeze, passersby on the street became encased in coffins, and the sky clouded over with the same clouds that were perpetually present in the shadow-infested zone. Just like last time. And then, an extremely large reading appeared within the safe zone, near the shopping center. At the same time, several more, smaller readings appeared scattered throughout the city. Larger than ordinary shadows, but still small enough that she couldn't get a fix on their exact location.
Oh well. The main event would have to come first, either way.
She made a run for the shopping center, attempting once again to contact her teammates. But once again, there was no response. It seemed as though most electronic devices went dead during this anomaly. Why, she couldn't be sure. But so long as she herself wasn't affected, she would make do. As she drew near to the shopping center, however, another, entirely different reading from shadows hit her. She identified it almost immediately: a personality module. So one of her siblings had detected the shadows inside the safe zone as well, this time. That was the other thing she noticed when she was in close enough proximity. The reading at the shopping center wasn't one, but two shadows. That complicated matters immensely. Most of Pandora's skills were single target. But that was something she would just have to deal with.
Several other Persona users were present when Pyxis reached the scene. A few of them she recognized, but a few more hadn't been present at the last fight at all. At this point, Alisa's original estimate of fifteen was not just inaccurate, but laughable. Her combat systems came to life as she approached. Damage and status readings began actively returning feedback. Feedback that as of yet indicated no problems. Pandora materialized behind her, an artificial girl innocently carrying a box full of misfortunes. But also, hope. "All systems go. Moving to engage," she said. Being more conversational was, at the moment, not a priority. As was subtlety. A ghastly hand emerged from the box as Pyxis approached the two shadows, appearing like sun and moon, light and darkness. The hand slammed into the sun-like shadow in an open palm strike, then disappeared back into the box as though it was never there.
