Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

John did not know how much time had passed nor what had transpired since the wolf's defeat. He hadn't seen the remaining enemies retreating or the fight being broken up. However, he was called back into conciousness by some hot gooey substance being forced down his throat. It was quite a sudden shock after the relative serenity of unconciousness. Thus, he was quite stunned for a little while after being revived as it were. He could see some kind of tentacle-like organ retracting from his face, he traced it's point of origin to be what appearedto be some kind of fetishist's dream taken form. He presumed it to be someone's persona, probably of the rather androgynous looking girl standing besides it.
The circumstances as a whole left John quite flabbergasted. He would have complained about the method in which he had been healed had the girl not left shortly afterwards. Sighing, he wiped the leftover slime off of him as best he could. He then turned around to the remaining people here. "Guys, if anyone's looking for me, I'm off to the liquor store to drown some sorrows. I'lll pour one out for Vice while I'm there." And with that said, he left the temple grounds.

Holly let out an exaggerated shrug and sigh. There was still a small smile on her face, and the exaggerated nature of the gesture made it obvious that she wasn't being serious and that she wasn't annoyed. Despite her words, her voice was still fairly gentle.
"I swear all of you are terrible at listening. Didn't I just say that your offensive power was an asset in this fight? It's not a matter of whether you'd be useful, you would be, it's a matter of whether it'd be healthy for you. And you know, it's not like this would have to be a permanent decision. Even if you decided to sit out next month it's not like it means you have to sit out forever. If you're feeling better the month after, I'm sure everyone would appreciate having you back. But even besides all that, you don't have to decide now. The battle just ended, the next one won't be for another month. You've got time to think about everything. I don't know you well enough to give you any solid advice in that regard, but I can at least tell you that I'm fairly certain that no one would judge you no matter what your choice was. I have to agree that talking to your girlfriend would be a good idea though. She probably knows you better than anyone else, and therefore would be the best suited to help you through everything."
Holly gave the boy leaving a small wave as he left. Honestly, she was glad that he was there as well. There was only so much she could do after all. She was just one person.
"That said, if you ever wanted to contact me," she pulled out another slip of paper and wrote her address and phone number on it. "You're welcome to do so at any time. Even if it's three in the morning on a weekday."
She handed over the slip of paper, once again not being forceful about it. The girl could take it if she wanted, but she wasn't about to force her to.

Haah. When the hell had this happened? They had to know what Sakuya was, by now. The boy who suggested spending time with her first had even been right there calling the old man off last month. Since when were they encouraging this? And why? It didn't make sense. They weren't like her. They hadn't come to fall for Sakuya before finding out what she was.
...Well, whatever the case, something still managed to sink in for Jaelyn despite their confusion. Neither the boy nor the blonde girl saw her as an enemy just for associating with Sakuya. That, possibly, was the most surprising thing of all. But it brought her a small degree of comfort as well. She took a deep breath, then finally managed to settle down as she let it out. The girl was right. She had a month. Or failing that, she could sit the next one out and get too months. As long as she didn't have any nasty confrontations over it all, that should hopefully be enough to sort herself out.
It usually was, at least.
"Right. Of course," Jaelyn said. She stood up again, putting her knife away and looking back at the girl. The girl offered contact information, and Jaelyn accepted it. "And thanks. I'll keep it in mind."
Maybe, just maybe, these people didn't hate her after all.

Holly laughed slightly. "You seem surprised, about what I wonder? That your offensive power was useful? You are probably one of the more capable damage dealers in this group right now, plus you nullified the shadow's resistances and made it so people could potentially attack more effectively. Plus, as long as you're not hurting the effort, you're going to be useful in some way.
"That it's not a permanent decision and what matters is what you can handle? It's important to look after yourself. If you're happy you'll be more effective at everything you do, so you should always put your own happiness first. And over time, people change and their emotional states do as well. Just because you're feeling like this now doesn't mean you will be later.
"That people won't judge you for your choice? Well, I've already explained why you're useful here, but even if you don't come I think people will be okay with that. I think people want the people around them to be happy and healthy more than you might think, even if they don't really know you. Besides, I think most people understand that these battles are hard on all of us and sometimes people might need a break. I don't think most people would consider it a sign of weakness, and those that would are likely insecure about their own strength.
"That you should talk to your girlfriend even though she's a shadow? Shadow or not, she's clearly as intelligent as any human. I was on her side of the wall at the last full moon as well, and the way she acted didn't strike me as some shadow trying to feed on an emotionally unstable person. I think she cares and well, when times get tough it's important to rely on the people you care about and that care about you," she shrugged as though it was the most natural thing in the world.
"That I gave you my number? Well, I suppose I can understand that one given how standoffish I've been in the past, but I honestly wish I had started doing stuff like this sooner. If we're working together we should get to know each other better. Even if it did nothing for our capabilities in battle, which I doubt is true, it'd be fun.
"Well, I hope that answered any questions you might have, even if you didn't ask them. If there's anything else you wanted to talk to me about I'll listen, but otherwise I think you have someone else that's important to talk to as well."
